We went with friends right before all restaurants were shut down, so the place was only about 2/3 full on a Saturday night. Service was impeccable, and everybody at our table thought the food was excellent. Our out-of-town friends were very impressed, and will certainly come back here when they are in town again (when coronavirus is over and we can all be normal again!)
Love this restaurant. Food delicious, service outstanding. This was a strange night, as the fear of the Coronavirus , many people chose to stay home. Happy we did not,
Bistrot La Minette has been one of my favorite restaurants for many years. Excellence and consistency are the two qualities that make the place so special. The servers are outstanding!
Excellent food with an awesome server!
Lily (our server) could not have been sweeter, or more knowledgeable
Really great way to spend a Saturday afternoon !!!
I was here on November and food was so much better! I was dissapointed witt the Trout that i ordered( second time i had this here) , and the Salmon that my husband ordered. The trout didnt taste buttery or any hints of lemon. It was bland. I love it so much when I had it on Nov 23, 2019... The servicio was Exceptional!
One of the true neighborhood gems - amazing French food at incredibly affordable prices, accompanied by impeccable and friendly service. If you live anywhere within walking distance, this should be your go to restaurant, and if you're within 25 miles, this is totally worth the drive.
I love these themed and prix fixed dinners, although I would go any how. Food is always imaginative, fresh and artfully plated. Service is always attentive and knowledgeable.
The server was gracious on our pronunciation of the French names. I liked everything except my main course, which were the spare ribs. Quite salty, and not too much flavor. I cannot remember the names of the dishes I did like, but one was the raw salmon. Excellent!! The desserts were quite good, too. Staff very nice and helpful.
Wonderful French Bistro, authentic in every way
Love eating here, a great dining experience!
The food although not authentic French was absolutely wonderful. Our waiter was knowledgeable and in fact made a great wine recommendation.
Always the best. All round. Cheers!
This was a great taste of France. Literal and figurative
So delicious! Need to improve the selection of Belgium beers. You used to have LaRousse and many other hard to find ones. The current list is adequate, but uninspiring to go with such an excellent menu.
The Financier aux Múres was divine.
This is one of my go to places for a great meal or special occasion. The food and service are always great!
delicious. just delicious. can't go wrong! price was reasonable for the dinner. we had baguette (with real french butter), lotte au pommeau de normandie, saumon au croûte, cassoulet, financier aux mûres, and pot de crème.
Great food and service was impeccable. Waitress was very friendly and attentive
Delicious and authentic French Bistro food. Fun, casual vibe. Great service.
A perfect place to spend time with friends or family and enjoy delicious French dishes. Great neighborhood restaurant with the right prices. Wonderful bistrot decor
So great to eat something other than Italian in Philly. All our 4 apps and one entree were amazing. Service did slow a bit when crowd grew, overall very nice meal.
A great place to take a special someone for a special date. Service and food are over the top good
I love this place,so quaint and off the beaten path(somewhat) I love the themed dinners as I get to try different regional foods in France. This was no exception but,for all the times I have been here, service was pretty slow. I did add an extra person and called ahead so was pushed back to an earlier time but sat for quite awhile in between courses. All told tho' everything was excellent and of course would go back for next "region"
Excellent ! always is!
My most favorite place to eat in the entire world!
And I’ve been around!
Rest room was out of hand soap at 5.30 pm on Sunday, sign says for employees to wash hands...lol
A little more explanation of menu options, such as the 5 course sampling menu would be good, didn't see it on menu until neighboring table ordered. Should be Informed of items that are not available that evening prior to ordering them.
Mussels in tarragon cream sauce and the rabbit in mustard were good, pork cheeks were a bit overcooked. I'll go back, but some attention to details needs to be addressed by the Mgnt.
This place was lovely. I'm not big on French food but I would definitely go back. My dish was delightful and my husband loved his entree and appetizer.
Great restaurant. The waiter really knew his business, the ambient was very nice and very authentic, the food was amazing and very authentic as well.
Wonderful food and pleasant service! Very cozy, relaxed vibe with a bit of French flare. My wife and I truly enjoyed the unique experience!
Unsurprisingly, this romantic, airy French bistro was a popular choice for couples celebrating Valentines Day. The staff and kitchen did a wonderful job of keeping things moving in an efficient but warm manner on a very busy night. The service was attentive and the food delicious!
Great food and service! Worth the trip!
We had an early Valentines dinner - Bistrot la Minerte serves up some of the best French food I’ve had outside of Paris. Would highly recommend!
Great food And service !
I like this place because it is attractive, cozy, and not loud. I have dined here many times and always loved the food. The escargots were excellent as usual. We each had an egg dish and each thought our dish had too much sauce and was not very tasty. The poached pear was ok, not great. The service was a bit lackadaisical. I still would go back because usually I have a wonderful experience.
Great food, especially for value. Had Chefs Tasting Menu + Wine Pairing. Loved every course and pairing. Food Runner explanations of courses could have been VASTLY more thorough. Felt bad for the table beside the waiter at the end of the night doing side-work (cleaning and clanging silverware) directly beside their table.
Every time we go I’m reminded why we return so frequently. As far as service, there isn’t a better place in Philly. Camillia is a STAR server and a serious delight. The food is impeccable, the pork cheek this time was a stunner. The fisherman’s poached egg is my death row meal!!!!
Always good with great service in a very comfortable environment.
Nice place to Sunday brunch before a show, delicious food, (love their freshly baked bread and butter). Feels very French for Philly. Always love dining here.
Very good food and extremely attentive staff. Would definitely recommend. Perfect date night
Tasting menu was great and a good value at $50.
Our party of four sixty-somethings really enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant. The servers were very professional. I wish all restaurants could have their servers trained by these guys. Polite, informative, efficient and did not call us "guys". Ambience was comfortable, e,g, tables were spaced adequately and we could hear ourselves converse without shouting. Food, including three fish entrees and one vegetarian entree were excellent, as were the shaved vegetable salads. We will be sure to come back the next time we are in Phila.
My wife didn't enjoy her dinner. She started with a beet salad which was mainly chunks of beet and unrecognizable pieces of goat cheese. The menu described them as being "warmed" actually they were breaded and deep fried, so there was a relatively hard crust surrounding them, and there was relatively little goat cheese in them. The she entered upon a main dish that was salmon "en croute." She chose it because she likes spinach, and the dish came with spinach and mushrooms. The was a paper thin line of spinach on one side of the salmon, and an equally thin line of mushrooms of the other side of the salmon. My meal was much better. I started with the Salade Verte (which was bibb lettuce, thoroughly treated with an appropriate amount of dressing, and I continued with the Boeuf Bourguignon which were both excellent. We both agreed that if we hadn't have eaten there many times before and had excellent meals. we would never return, but return we will. One problem we had was that we were seated at a banquet, and both of us are hard of hearing, The noise level in the restaurant was such that we could communicate. If we go there in the future, I will call the restaurant in advance and enter a request for a table that we have sat in before (there is a good table that round table near the door that is out of the way - if we can't get that then we won't eat there again).
Enjoyed food, ambiance and service. A perfect evening out.
