The service and food was absolutely amazing. Best butternut squash soup I’ve ever had, and the beef was spectacular. Plan on coming back when we come back to Philly. You will not be disappointed!
I went for dinner during Restaurant Week and had an excellent time. The ambiance is simply fantastic. The interior is gorgeously luxurious and the red velvet booth seating was very comfortable. The menu had a good variety of classic French options and an extensive wine list. I especially enjoyed the escargot and savory bread pudding, although next time I'm eager to try the Fisherman’s style poached egg. The service was friendly and attentive.
Bistrot La Minette is our go to restaurant for Center City Restaurant week. Great selection, great food, excellent value.
Since we are new to the area Restaurant Week is a wonderful opportunity to find new places to eat. We will definitely be back to Bistrot La Minette. Although very crowded the service food and atmosphere were quite perfect. My husband’s duck was fantastic and my beef bourguignon were delicious as was the squash soup and salad dauphinois. We both enjoyed the pots d’ creme for desert.
Very good french food options. Very friendly server.
The dinners were excellent. Two of us had rabbit. Really tasty.
The food is amazing - I had the beef tartare and the trout. Our server was great - she was very attentive. Highly recommend it.
Lovely food and service as always.
Good food, well prepared. Our pleasant waiter was responsibly attentive and knew his stuff. Wel'll come again.
Our server was excellent! And so was the food! Looking forward to dining here again!
Excellent service! I was in a bind that my son would arrive and join us for dinner. The waiter and maitre d’made it very possible.
We went for restaurant week and celebrated my daughters birthday.
Great menu and excellent service!
Great little spot! This is our second visit and it was as delicious and delightful as the first.
This place was fantastic. I had never been and have been dying to try. Decently priced, cute and quaint but still upscale feeling. The food was incredible. Highly recommend. Will return for sure.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Tonight the experience left much to be desired. First and second courses were excellent. My main course, however, was below par. I ordered the boeff bourginon. It was over salted and had a burnt flavor. It was so inedible I ate the vegetables and brought the meat home for my dogs. My mother complained her trout was also very salty. Normally the service is very good. Tonight however our server was so inattentive it was insulting. She practically fawned over the couples on either side of us while she acted as though my mother and I didn't exist. She never checked back to see if we needed anything after each course was delivered. We ordered our desserts and she didn't even give us time to ask for coffee or after dinner drinks before walking away. Our desserts were delivered. We finished them and sat there waiting. When we asked for coffee she appeared annoyed. She delivered our cappuccinos with no spoons to stir in sugar. She walked away a second time without clearing our empty dessert plates. The manager finally cleared them. I understand the restaurant was busy, but somehow she had time to take care of the couples seated at the tables next to us, but treated us (2 women) like second class citizens. Extremely disappointing. Tonight was a huge miss.
It was New Years Eve and the restaurant did a great job as far as food and service. It was wonderful that the regular menu could be ordered from. We have been there several times and have enjoyed it each time. This evening was no exception.
As always Bistrot La Minette is a wonderful treat. We had their special Noel dinner with five courses that included oysters, lobster and quail. Their price for house wine is very reasonable. The atmosphere is that of a Parisian bistro and the service is excellent,
Star ratings speaks volumes. Service was okay. Alcohol selection okay; not a place for vegan/vegetarians. That said the was good and the ambiance quite cozy.
Good place to enjoy fine French cuisine at reasonable price. Pleasant setting without the loud noise of so many restaurants today.
We were so happy to find a new restaurant (for us) that is within walking distance to our new home.
We enjoyed our appetizers very much. My husband got foie gras and I got a wonderful beet salad (and I got my husband’s figs that went so well with my cheese croquettes. I loved my beer braised beef but the trout was not enjoyed. We shared a delicious pot de creme. Good meal, we will return!
Picked this venue to introduce my partner to my dearest friend. I must say, at first - due to the ambient noise being “energetic” - I was initially soured. That changed by the second course. Escargot is proper and delicious. The quail stuffed with chestnut stuffing, inspired. We will return.
Cheers, happy dining.
We have been to Bistrot La Minette many times, but make it a point to visit during the holidays as we LOVE their French Yuletime prix fixe menu. We have been several years, bringing the family down for a relaxing and enjoyable dinner, and are never disappointed. This year we had only one son home when we could go, so our group was smaller than normal, but the meal and service levels were "bigger and tastier" than ever. Every single course was amazing - better than last year which was a high bar to jump over. We did the wine pairings with the dinner, which were beautifully matched with some great wines - like a Pomerol we had with the quail course. They only serve this menu for a couple more days (I think it ends 12/31) but if you can't do it this year - put it on your list for next!
Thank you for your kind words. I am glad that we have become a tradition for you and your family. This was Chef Grant's first Noel Menu. Which as you know is our most luxurious event of the year and a high bar for a new Executive Chef at Bistrot La Minette to jump. I too, think he knocked it out of the park. We look forward to having you as our guests in the new year.
Authentic French recipes with some modern twists. Plates are artfully arranged and service is impeccable.
Food took a very long time to come, but they were very apologetic and offered drinks and a salad on the house in the meantime.
Salmon & escargot were excellent, - we all enjoyed our food. Dessert was great. Lovely birthday presentation. A bit pricey
We go here every year for a Holiday dinner with friends and have never been disappointed. Even when we come just on a weeknight, the food and service are great!
We had the Christmas menu everything was very good. I would recommend people trying this establishment. The atmosphere is very nice a tad noisy but not at all rackus.
We've been to 5 other special event dinners at Bistrot la Minette and this Nöel dinner was the best one yet. Every course was superb and the wine pairings were spot on.
Go..before the Lobster an Quail are gone.
We met friends for a relaxing dinner. Food was very good, service nicely done and the setting was comfortable.
Our third time dining at this lovely restaurant! During happy hour, exceptional value. Always great service, and the Julie Child would be proud of the food.
Amazing as always!!!! 5 stars!!!
Me and my girlfriend shad an amazing dinner. Service was impeccable. Food and drink was amazing. First full four course meal I’ve enjoyed in awhile. A little on the pricier side but the quality demands it! I proposed to my girlfriend right outside of the restaurant. It couldn’t have gone better. Thank you !
We dined with friends and were able to converse without shouting. The food was superb, the service was perfect - prompt but not pushy. The menu choice was varied and we all were pleased with what we selected. We had a great time and will be back next time we visit Philly.
Second time dining here and it was just as fabulous as the first. I had the escargot and steak tartare and it was one of the best meals I have had in my life. Highly recommend.
Had a delicious dinner- menu is not large but all the choices picked were thorough enjoyed by all 6 of us, appetizers and entrees. Love their food.
This is absolutely one of favorite restaurants in Philadelphia! We have been several times for different occasions. We have learned from past experiences what our favorite things are to eat. This time we decide to get 3 apps and 1 dinner and 2 sides and 1 dessert to share.
We had the mussels and snails which we get every time we go. We also had the fois gras per a friends suggestion. It did not disappoint. Then we shared the duck which was cooked to perfection and delicious! We also had the Mac and cheese and the hericotvert and the pastry with the berries for dessert. We did not leave one drop of anything on our plates!!
If I have 1 complaint it’s that the tables are very close together and if you are only 2 people you basically are sitting with the people on both sides of you. We know this going in so we are ok with it when we go. It’s fun to talk
To the others and see what everyone else is eating. More than2 people have a little more privacy.
I can’t wait to go back!
Excellent food. Fast service. The place is pretty small and noisy.
Food was excellent. Service was bit slow given that it wasn’t super busy.
We were a younger couple so the staff treated us as so. Nothing bad nor rude but kind of unattentive. Ordered the chef tasting and food was remarkable.
