We had a pleasant experience overall. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Our dinners (market fish special - flounder, and braised short ribs) were good, not great. The flounder was pan-seared and salty, served with coconut rice and an overwhelming serving of sautéed mushrooms. The short ribs were tender but dry. What surprised us both was that our dinners were brought out within what seemed, literally, like 5 minutes (though perhaps a few more), but certainly not time enough to prepare each dish from scratch - definitely felt rushed. We’ve had very good experiences at Nico in Mt Pleasant and especially at Laura in Somerville, (outstanding), which is why we tried this “sister” restaurant. Not sure we’d go back

Unfortunately can’t remember our servers name. She had dark hair and lots of pens in her apron. She was terrific best service in a restaurant that we have had in ages!!!! All around a lovely dinner:)

Truly an underwhelming experience, if you could even call it that. The food transported us back to a late 80s/ early 90s Banquet Hall. It was outdated, overly sauced, and the drinks were sub par. The amount of butter on my baked fish could have caused a carotid artery. While I only took two bites, it was not even noticed by staff that we were extremely displeased. My husbands steak was supposed to be medium rare but I could hear the cow still moo'ing. Though it appeared that the filet must have been sous vided because for how raw it was there was no blood. We have been long time supporters of Chef Nico, dating back to his days at Fish on King Street. We were really looking forward to our dinner, but instead left 30 minutes later, hungry and with $200 less in our pockets. Unfortunately, we will never be back again.

Kristin made us some fabulous cocktails, and our friends from the UK thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We had goat cheese spring rolls, grouper, scallops, and burgers. Everything was prepared perfectly as usual! Thanks for yet another great experience!

Overall a very enjoyable dinner. Brenden is super at front door and keeping it all together. Server was a bit chilly. I prefer snails served in shell with butter rather than in a small crust. Quite noisy. Hope to bring a group of 6 soon but will want to sit in breezeway or farther back in main dining area.

Thank you for your feedback, Lee. Just give us a call when you make your reservation, and we will do our best to seat you in your preferred area! Glad you enjoyed overall and hope to see you again soon.
