   Portions were on the smaller size for the price although taste was very good. Service was excellent. Overall it was a good dining experience.

   Really enjoyed our dinner. The mussel appetizer was one of the best I have ever had! Had to order extra bread multiple times to enjoy the juice! Ordered the scallops for dinner they were so large and delicious. The sweet potato purée was a great addition too! My husband has the short ribs and they melted in your mouth! The wine list was top notch too! Highly recommend this restaurant while visiting St. Michaels!

   Our first time, and we would return. Upon arrival, my wife and I were offered choice of seating downstairs or up (we chose upstairs), and had a quiet table for two. Our server was knowledgeable and provided helpful guidance. When waffling between the lamb sirloin on the menu and the special veal chop, she said the veal chop was "stellar" but then honestly pointed out the price difference. (I chose the veal chop, and it was worth every penny.) My wife enjoyed the other special, a crispy-skinned rockfish entree, and we shared the profiteroles with salted caramel ice cream (housemate, I believe). We matched wines with our meals, and had excellent choices by the glass. A great meal.

   We waited over 20 min just to order. The waitress said she would be back in a few min to take our order and then disappeared. It was not that she was working multiple tables. There was no comparison to the other waitress working the room. We finial said something to hosted but the service never really improved.

   I'm so sorry about you experience. I did have an issue with a server that evening, and she had to be sent home. I'm sorry I don't remember you approaching me about it. I did have another server come in to help with the situation, and I sincerely apologize that you were somehow lost in the confusion that evening. We hope you will give us another try when you are in town again, as that is far from our norm and well below our standards of care.

   We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Bistro St. Michaels. We had heard great things about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The cream of crab soup was amazing, the rockfish was outstanding and the beef short rib was tender and delicious. Our waiter was great as well as the rest of the staff. The only minor criticism I have is that the cheese and charcuterie platter was a little disappointing. It was short on cheese and meat and heavy on fruit and for the money it wasn’t a good value.

It is now where it should be and should have been on the night you were here, and we apologize for that.    Food and service were excellent but the noise level was extraordinary. We were in a booth in the bar area and people seemed to congregate to talk and wait for tables to clear. Detracted from the experience.

   We are so glad you enjoyed the food and that our service was up to par, but we sincerely apologize for the noise level. The bar is a hard surface area, so noise tends to be magnified there on a busy night. I am looking into discreet sound-proofing panels, specifically for the bar area, to help combat this problem.     We went to Bistrot St Michaels for our 60th wedding anniversary. Food was excellent and service was very attentive. This was our third time to eat at Bistrot St Michaels and would highly reccomend this restaurant.
