Paid $3 for dry cardboard french bread to go with 1 overdone tenderloin steak and 1 underdone steak fritte. The cocktails were ok. The banana bread was good. Worth $140 + $25 tip? No!!!!!

Went for breakfast on Labor Day morning. Fortunately we had made reservations as they were quite busy. Excellent coffee. Amazingly good waffle with an apple syrup…check menu on their website. The service was excellent. We sat inside as it was a hot day. The ambiance was great, not loud. Very busy in their outdoor seating area. Will go back for lunch and dinner at some point. But the breakfast was perfect…

I just don’t like the 3.5% charge that they add to your checks …. these companies are double dipping by charging us for their fees, and then writing the fees off and are making money on the backs of the customer and employees and I feel like this needs to stop. Or I t’s going to start reflecting on peoples tips ….

This was my second visit in two days. I could not resist coming back for their Quiche with salad and a wonderful dairy-free Chai Tea Latte! Next time I’m in D.C. I’ll visit again. Excellent quality and value!

We booked a table for 8:30pm. No one when we arrive, told us about the time they close. 15 minutes before 9, the waitress came and said us to order the food and beverages because they were closing soon

The food was excellent. We had the coq au vin and gnocchi. Would prefer both dishes again. Would choose to go back just to have them again. Service was pleasant and gracious, efficient and unobtrusive. It's quite small inside, so fairly quiet, easy for conversation. Most of their seating is outside, so it may be a little noisier there. Overall it was an excellent place to relax and have a good meal before going to a concert at the Anthem.

I was very excited to have brunch with my son who was visiting. Once we arrived early for our reservation we were quickly seated, however the hostess who walked us to the table was so rude when I asked if we could be seated somewhere else rather than right next to the serving table, especially when there were so many other tables open. The hostess kept making a big deal out of it, making a scene when I ask very nicely and was not too pressed about it. Then she was blaming the front desk. I just simply asked. We were like okay…Again it wasn’t a big deal. After that, it was downhill, we were served warm water when other tables were served ice cold water. We were given water, no ice. Mind you we are outside and it’s so hot. The service and the lack of hospitality really upset me. When you are paying a certain price, you want the food and service to be worth it. I don’t like paying for a meal for two and be treated like I’m at a fast food counter. Very disappointing, however the food was good. The person who cleans up the tables took care of us with getting what we needed when our food arrived. I refuse to be disrespected and not get the bare minimum of service. I don’t want anything more. Just do your job. Smh

Friendly and professional staff, I got the apple crumble pie (8/10), the chocolate croissant (8/10) and also the gnocchi parisienne (8/10). Quieter atmosphere, and clean environment. It’s more of a one page menu restaurant but would love to come back again to try out the different dishes for dinner.

Food is amazing. I got yelled by the manager only because I ask for my wife juice and hot sauce.. I never coming back there and the service is awful took forever to get simple stuff like juice water and utensils..

This weekend was the kickoff for All Star Week and a huge gala at the Anthem so the Wharf was the busiest I have ever seen it - hundreds of cars in traffic. I hosted a big group for dinner and our group was about 20 minutes late - the restaurant was not full or busy but when I checked in I was very rudely greeted by the front manager. Service was extremely slow, but it seemed like there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant. I don’t recommend this spot for large groups.

We stopped by for a quick bite while on the wharf. We had Carpaccio De Thon, Gougers, and Macaron Au Foie. All were delicious! El Hadj was our waiter. He was fantastic! He was very good at explaining the dishes on the menu.

We were welcomed warmly upon arrival and sat right away. Our server was polite and hospitable. However, she didn't know about most of the dishes we asked her about. It reflects poorly on the management team that did not train her and allowed her to taste all the dishes on the menu. We ordered Belgian waffles, Quiche and omelette. All were good enough, but nothing to write home about. We also ordered a pie and a plain croissant; both were unacceptable. Especially the croissant wasn't fresh, warmed in the microwave and elastic. The icing on the cake was our macchiato order. It came in a paper cup that looked like the thin paper they give you to collect a laboratory specimen; it was laughable; I had never expected that from a French Restaurant and for the price they charge.

I had an amazing time with my group of 4 here. Our waitress was lovely and had wonderful recommendations. The outdoor seating is just perfect. We went for lunch, I had the Moules Frites, and my friends had the Cheeseburger L’Américaine, and Croque Madame! Dessert is delightful. Definitely recommend!!!

First time to try Bistro - and we were there on July 4. Our server, Courtney, could not have been nicer; she was quick to check on us and provided great recommendations. Just the smell of some of the other dishes we did not try will get us back there before too long.

Our server was working hard. But overall the experience was not good. Apps served with no silverware, waited 15 mins after seating to get a glass of water… multiple times tried to get water refill… food was good but not outstanding. The whole scene was chaotic and service needs help. Wouldn’t go back. So noisy and chaotic— was clear the place needs leadership.

Service was horrible. Not attentive at all. Food is overpriced for what you get. Not worth it. Drinks only fill 1/2 the glass. Even wine is only 4 oz and charging equivalent of what others are charging in the area for a 5-6oz pour. Don’t ask for a dirty martini- they don’t know how to make one. Plates were served upside down (there’s a logo on the plate, so you can tell). Silverware not properly placed or switched out after first course. Had to constantly raise my hand to get the waiters attention- he did not check on the table after each course, instead stood by waitstaff station talking. Portion size of steak au poivre was not worth almost $50. It is a joke.
