In classic Bistro fashion, Bistro d’Hélène’s French-esque menu takes inspiration from the heart of France and melds it with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The menu begins with a strong selection of artisanal breads and traditional spreads, followed by wide-ranging apps and mains that touch on a slew of French and Mediterranean flavors.

Just what is the difference between a restaurant, a bistro, a brasserie and a café, you ask? While all four are centered around the joy of food and cooking, bistro's are classically a relaxed atmosphere. In contrast to the large, luxurious spaces of the luxury restaurants of Paris, bistros are small, casual places where hearty food is served simply, but deliciously. Typically, a bistro is frequented by locals and might not even be very well known outside its neighborhood.

That is exactly what we sought to create. A quaint, neighborhood spot that values clean, healthy ingredients where we can come together to enjoy a meal with our loved ones

Very strange experience. Tried to make a reservation at their sister restaurant, Bistro D’Helene. They called and said the Bistro was closed due to staffing shortage, and recommended transferring reservation to to Apericena. When we got to Apericena they seated us and gave us menus, but no drink menu. After 10 minutes I asked for a wine list and THEN they said, sorry we are not serving any alcohol. When I asked why, the waitress said she was not allowed to say. No one said anything about this prior to this point. Very odd. As for the food, it was decent but not amazing. Overall a very strange experience.

The food here is fantastic, and is presented so beautifully. Such a cute little neighborhood bistro. We loved it!

What a deloghtful dining experience . Our waitress Grace went above and beyond to ensure our time was memorable. Pair Grace with outstanding food….earns Bistro d’ Helene the highest recommendation.

We try to find hidden gems and this restaurant was just that! The menu made it hard to choose so we will be back for sure 👍

We are so excited to have this restaurant in our neighborhood! This was our first trip in and we were thrilled to find a quiet and pleasant environment. Even more pleased to find a menu with lots of items we’d like to try. As a celiac with a soy allergy that is an extra special situation! Many clearly marked gluten free items! Also an excellent wine selection. Our meals were fantastic…Osso Bucco, Steak Frites, Aranchini and Carrot Cake! We will be back regularly! So many more things to try.

My wife and I shared the blanquette after seeing it on Instagram and it was one of the best meals I have enjoyed during in my time in the states. Just like my mom used to make it as a kid. Excellent wine selections as well. Bravo to the chef!
