Bistro 555 is under new ownership by a group of long-time friends including the owners of former Le Mistral and Cafe Rabelais, established French institutions in Houston. With a joint-experience of over 5 decades, Bistro 555 will transport you to the different regions of France with traditional bistro fares. Our specialties include Escargot in sizzling garlic butter, onion soup topped with melted gruyere cheese, Moules-Frites, Cassoulet, and profiteroles. We also serve wood-oven fired pizzas. The best neighborhood restaurant near us. Always consistent with great food and service. Friendly, thoughtful staff. It’s one of our favorite places. Only drawback is parking can be limited on Friday and Saturday due to popularity.

First time for my wife but second time for me. It will be a regular occurrence for us now. Quaint but it doesn’t seem crowed even though it was full. The food was outstanding reminding me of “The Brownstone”, without the high prices. Really great value. What a gem.

Visited Bistro 555 on Mother’s Day. Food and service excellent. On top of that when we were living- my wife received rose for Mother’s Day- very nice surprise!

As close as you can get to a small French restaurant in Houston. Very casual French and good fun with an engaging staff. Great wine.
