Bistro 555 is under new ownership by a group of long-time friends including the owners of former Le Mistral and Cafe Rabelais, established French institutions in Houston. With a joint-experience of over 5 decades, Bistro 555 will transport you to the different regions of France with traditional bistro fares. Our specialties include Escargot in sizzling garlic butter, onion soup topped with melted gruyere cheese, Moules-Frites, Cassoulet, and profiteroles. We also serve wood-oven fired pizzas. Bistro 555 is a gem in the Memorial area. Casual and perfect French food. You can get mussels and cassoulet, but if you fear the traditional French food, the restaurant has a variety of food such as fish, pizza, chicken and steak. (the steaks are great) All with a French flair but nothing Americans can't handle. The wine is exceptional. The wine recommendation was perfect. Bistro 555 has the best escargot in Houston. I would eat here again just for that dish. The Crème Brûlée and the tarte tatin are perfectly executed desserts. A great spot for friends, dates and families. The best staff works here. They are knowledgeable and attentive. The manager Blanca is a real star.

One of our favorite places to celebrate ! Menu is full of delicious options, hard to decide what I want as I like so many things there. Excellent service and attention to detail. Highly recommend bistro 555 to anyone looking for a fine dining experience that won’t disappoint !

As always, the food was good. This is not an inexpensive place to eat but the wine list is great and the food does not disappoint. The restaurant is loud and the bathrooms are not up to par for the price. Tables are very close together so if you are looking for comfortable space and quiet conversation this is not the place, but if good food and wine is what you are after it's a great choice. Been here lots and will likely go back.

The best neighborhood restaurant near us. Always consistent with great food and service. Friendly, thoughtful staff. It’s one of our favorite places. Only drawback is parking can be limited on Friday and Saturday due to popularity.

First time for my wife but second time for me. It will be a regular occurrence for us now. Quaint but it doesn’t seem crowed even though it was full. The food was outstanding reminding me of “The Brownstone”, without the high prices. Really great value. What a gem.
