   Time for a new chef. The fish was undercooked (in a bad way, not a great fish, medium rare way). The bouillabaisse was weak. the Caesars salad was bad. the pasta sauce was bad. Just all over bad. Were there on the early side for dinner at 6:30 and were the only people there. Felt like a dying restaurant and was kinda sad to be there. Would not go back.

   Chosen because of past brunch experiences, but Mother's Day was a bust. Tried to reserve by phone on previous day, but no answer, so we used OT. Personnel knew nothing about our reservation, but moved patrons already seated to accommodate our six. Provided ONE menu for table - with specialized items, not including our former favorites - at an increased, one-price-fits-all rate. We were ignored completely for 5-10 minutes while personnel was busy fussing for news media visitors, and finally left, walked to a nearby restaurant, and had a nice meal.

   Charming little French restaurant in a shopping center just outside of Carmel. Everything we had was delicious. The five onion bisque was heavenly. Main courses including the Seabass Salad (Which was unusual and delicious)and the steak frites satisfied all. if we lived in the area this would be one of our regular go to places.

   Wanting easy highway on/off access while passing through the area, but good food for lunch, this was a great stop just outside of Carmel. The carpaccio, salads, and hot sandwiches were very good. The inside has colorful and delightful humorous painted murals. The wait staff is very friendly and pleasant to talk to.

   I find the food here consistently good and a terrific value, especially for dinner. I had the steak frites - done to perfection. The problem was our server. He was the only waiter in the (small) room and appeared so clumsy and inept that it overshadowed a lovely meal. Case in point: he kept reaching over one of us to place the plate. Watching him balance a cup of soup from one end of the table, stretching over to hand it over to the other side of the table was nerve-wracking and rude, especially when guests are mid-conversation. It never occurred to him to walk in between the two diners and place the meals. In explaining the gravy that came with the chicken, it was painful to hear him attempt to describe why it was so good. Sentences incomplete, thoughts errant, focus nowhere to be found. He was so unpolished that we worried if our dining experience would be a good one. This is not the first time we've encountered sub-par wait staff here. A shame, really.

   We tried this place on a whim for lunch on 12/26 and were pleasantly surprised with service and fresh baked goods! We will definitely go again and try their brunch menu~

   We had a 5:45 reservation and were the first and only people in the restaurant when we got seated. 8 people, 3 of which were kids. Will never know why it took 1 1/2 hours to get our food. By then, one kid was asleep and the others were sufficiently full on bread.

   The food was above my expectations and service was great! Definitely one of our new favorites!

   For the past 12 years bistro 211 has consistently impressed both my wife and I with the food preparation and the quality of the dishes they serve If it weren't for the fact that we live 90 miles away we will dine at this restaurant at least once a week They offer weekly wine pairings with many of the dishes that are prepared at the restaurant and each week the types of tissues prepared vary One thing I can always count on at bistro unlike many other restaurants is fresh prepare hot bread right out of the oven always a favorite of mine

    Went with two friends on Saturday night. We all had different dishes (beef stroganoff, steak, and prime rib). Everything was delicious. The service was terrific and personal. The recommended wine was all our server said it was. Be sure to try this Crossroads bistro.
