One of Houston’s original restaurants, Birraporetti’s opened in 1974 with the slogan “A great Italian Restaurant…A heck of an Irish bar.” For almost 40 years, Birraporetti’s has been the place to gather on a date, celebrating with friends and family, for happy hour or before or after the theater.
We are noted for our award-winning stone oven pizzas, pastas such as lobster ravioli, & delicious main courses including hand-carved beef filet & fresh seafood. And don't leave without trying our signature Frozen Bellini’s, Irish Coffee, chocolate chip cheesecake, tiramisu, or the berries & cream.

We had a great dinner before going to the theater. Paco was the best waiter and the bus boy was so nice. I’m never disappointed.

Visited 3 weeks ago on a Sunday and was allowed to order from the menu rather than partake in the buffet. Well, this Sunday, I was told the menu was limited and only able to order on one side; appetizers and salads. Only the buffet was available. Offers on the menu buffet were cold,meat was tough..terrible experience. Only saving grace was the crème brûlée, which was delicious. Chose the restaurant because of the proximity to the Alley. Never again. There are other restaurants.

Waiter, Marco, was getting orders wrong. Also he was very inattentive. We had to track him down for drink order and again to order entrees. Not a great night out when we had to be so involved in getting orders into kitchen and had to keep asking for items.

Go there when I am going to the Alley theatre. It is right next to it Been going there for 40 years. The one constant is that the service is very poor. It is always something. It has been many things through the years. It has been slow most times messed up orders many times as well. Only reason I go is because of the theater being right next to it.

It appeared that they were short of wait staff. Our waiter was pulled in several areas which meant there was a lot of waiting. Food was brought out by, I think, kitchen staff. Food was still good, but service was not up to Birraporetti’s normal level. Waiter was doing his best.

We love this restaurant and it is so convenient for a pre or post theater outing. Just be sure to get reservations for the popular shows as they do fill up fast.

Service was off this evening. We continually had to go find someone to take care of us - from initially taking drink order, to getting our check at the end. Very difficult to get service. Food was good and wait staff was friendly when they finally appeared.
