Always outstanding food and service here. Our favorite restaurant in south bay next to manresa
My wife and I are travel nurses. I took my wife here for Mother’s Day and man what an awesome experience. The drinks were delicious (try the Hennessy margaritas), the ambiance was warm, the staff (our waitress was the bomb)were beyond attentive, and the food was 5 star. We were greeted and immediately seated upon arriving. My wife and I were really intrigued by the cooks. Let me correct that, we’re were intrigued by the chef, her sous chef and the line cooks. Give them all raises because they owned that kitchen. The only thing missing was Gordon Ramsey. If you have not been to this hidden gem, please please find time to go because you will not be disappointed. You get what you pay for and the treatment given is well worth the price alone.
This place went down, unfortunately.
We received the wrong order and worse, meat that supposed to be filet mignon, the medium was not filet mignon at all and it was well done.
Terrible value for a very expensive meal.
Disclaimer: We came for my first Mother’s Day so I’m sure it was more crowded than they had been accustomed to. I had seen previous people rave about the service but I do not agree. There were several instances when I was out of water and we had to ask to get bread for the table. We ordered the prime rib and it was overly smoked in flavor; my husband said it almost seemed like pastrami. The creamed spinach was not as creamy as I would’ve hoped. The mashed potatoes were fine but nothing to get excited about. I liked the Caesar salad very much and my husband liked his clam chowder. Dessert was reminiscent of those Costco desserts. Not too impressed.
I've been going to Birk's for years, I only go a few times a year, since we have so many restaurants in our area. I've always had great service, great food and drinks, the atmosphere is normally very nice. I went to Birk's yesterday (which was mothers day) and I was disappointed on so many levels. When I booked my reservation, I opted for outside seating, as I know they have a patio, just outside the main entrance. I had no idea there was construction going on, so the outside seating was in a tent in the parking lot. Had I know this at the time of booking, I would have requested inside seating. (So that was a bummer.)
It took 20 minutes for us to get our water and 30 minutes to get our 1st round of drinks. Granted we were in a tent in the parking lot, and the server had to walk really far just to get to the bar (unfair for the staff, I felt bad for our server). Our server was polite and a good job, considering the circumstance.
Our reservation was for 11:30am, the menu we were given was just dinner, no brunch or no lunch menu existed (so we were told.) Our options were very limited and very heavy. I ordered the salmon, which was not on the menu, but he said they had Salmon. It was just ok, slightly overcooked, no butter or sauce, rice was blan, just no flavor. So disappointing. The others in our group ordered Prime Rib, Filet and SeaBass, all were really good! Two of the people ordered creme brulee, which was disappointing! it was in a 1.5" dish with a small cookie.
I went to Flemings a week ago and we had an amazing dinner (5's across the board) such a different experience.
I will go back to Birk's, as I won't let one bad experience deter me, but I will wait until the construction is over.
good quality food & service. However they didn't have brunch menus on mothers day. I should've called in instead of just reading the website. Steak & prime rib is tasty, but a bit heavy for 11am.
Overall, I was pleased with the service, the food and the price. What was disheartening was that there was a lack of information on Birk's website and when I made the reservation. The exterior of the building is ongoing construction which means that all "outside" seating is in a tent located in the parking lot. Since the parking lot is located next to Highway 101, it can be noisy. We were happily accommodated with a table inside the restaurant, however.
The food was great and the service was outstanding.
Great steakhouse in the heart of Silicon Valley. Took my wife there for our anniversary. Our waiter was attentive and took care of us throughout the whole dinner. The food was great. The oysters we ordered for our appetizer where so good, we placed a second order. My wife's filet mignon was cooked perfectly, as well as my prime rib. We were both pleasantly surprised when our waiter came to our table with a dessert sampler on the house since I added the anniversary note in our reservation.
Great service and very tasty food! We will come again!
If you want a fine dining experience, Birk's is where it is at. Expect to spend top dollar, but you do get top quality. My bone in rib eye steak was the best I've had.
Definitely not a place for the budget conscious, but one of the better dining experience you can have in the south bay!
This was my second time to Birk’s and it did not disappoint. The food and service was excellent.
this is a great place. They are always accomendating, and provide a great experience.
The food was fantastic as always as was the service.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary. Everything was great- the service, the ambiance and the food!! It was our first time there and we will definitely be returning!
Make sure you have plenty of time to kill while you wait for your food. After we ordered waited an hour before just asking them to make it a to-go order – then waited an additional 30 minutes for the food to come out. First/last Birk's experience. Ended up being over $100 for take out and food quality was on par with what we're able to do at home (and i'm an average cook).
Both food and service were great. It’s one of my favorite places for fillet mignon.cooked perfect and great flavor from the rub.
Food was 💣
workers were on Point
NICE place to take your family
Will definitely be back
I planned my daughter's 18th bday dinner here because we had never been and receivedmany recommendations. I'm so glad it lived up to our expectations. We started with the appetizer sampler that included morroccan steak bites, garlic fries and calamari. Followed by the bone in Rib Eye, filet mignon and Mary's chicken and was it the best we've ever had! The birthday girl and her sister tried the truffle mac and cheese, delicious! Last we ended with a mascapone cheesecake. Lastly, it is on the pricey side but you get what you pay for but this fed us through the next day! I don't recommend waiting, do try it now!!
The filet is always delicious! Brussels sprouts are always a favorite.
Superior service, food and atmosphere. Thank you for a lovely luncheon experience!
Meat was over cooked and dry
Very good food and service as always! Feel like the president when I eat here. Unfortunately there weren't many people around to enjoy the lovely ambience with.
We celebrated Easter out great service.
Our clam chowder is always one of the best in the South Bay.
Suzie is always outstanding.
The service was below par. The ambiance fell short. The steak was overcooked and dry.
Delicious steaks and wonderful service,
This is no House of Prime Rib. Prime rib was wood smoked, which I did not care for. Creamed spinach was bland. 10 oz. lobster tail was fine, as was the filet. I had made a special note on the Open Table form that it was our anniversary. They did not make any mention of that to us. I understand that with things just re-opening they may not be one their game. I would rather go to Flemings before I would come back to Birks.
We like Birk’s a lot. We’ve dined there many times and will do so again.
Food, service are great.
As always, outstanding food and service! It made our birthday celebration even more special!
MuchbBetter than Ruth’s Chris or Fleming’s........
As usual, the food was great and everyone was very friendly!
Excellent food & drinks! Great service & staff was friendly. Was great to finally eat inside!
It was great to come back to Birk’s. The menu is the same as a year ago, the food is the same as a year ago. Pretty much as expected. Great place to eat/drink/meet with friends.
Suzie is amazing. But sad no ahí :(
Birk's has been a long time favorite. Now open to limited indoor dining. But daughter wanted al fresco to celebrate her mother's birthday. Three of us ordered the weekend signature smoked prime rib. Execution was excellent with medium rare generous cut cooked perfectly with mild horseradish. Sides of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were fine compliments. Daughter ordered lobster tail and was completely satisfied. There service was spot on. After a long absence, Birk's hasn't lost a step and everything was spot on. Oh yeah, also kid friendly.
Food was excellent, perfectly cooked prime rib
Birk’s is Burk’s. It is a classic. Very reliable high-quality has stood the test of time even with all this Covid crap. It was a pleasure to be there again and have indoor dining. I only ordered a cheesesteak so it was not a gourmet opportunity but this place is so solid it’s very impressive.
We hadn't been out just the two of us for nearly two years! We came to Birk's because we have had great experiences in the past. We felt very comfortable and safe as they seemed very covid ready. Our food was delicious and they brought us desserts into he house to help us celebrate our anniversary!
