Birdie Lounge is an American restaurant full of locally sourced CT Vegetables, Roasted Chicken, Small Plates, Entrees, and Vegetarian options. Located across from Whole Foods in Blue Back Square. The owner and head chef, KC Ward has owned and operated The Rooster Company since 2015. KC brings his knowledge of innovative flavors, cooking styles, and his passion for local farms to West Hartford with BIRDIE LOUNGE!

Wonderful food and service. The drinks were incredible - delicious and with an artistic presentation. Relaxed atmosphere in an interesting location.

I had family from out of town (Virginia) and we had dinner at this restaurant. The food was great and the staff were all courteous and catered to all our needs. We had the Lemon Pepper Rub Wings for starters and they were delicious. We all had the Half Chicken meal which was nice and tender and was well seasoned. For dessert we had the Lemon Tiramisu which was very smooth and rich. Overall everyone in our group was very happy with our meal. This was my second time eating at Birdie Lounge and I sure will be back soon.

Food is excellent. Seating in the back bar area can be a bit noisy but the atmosphere is nice & cozy.

I was expecting a much larger change than a change to the menu. The food is ok but not amazing. The inside still feels worn out, the entrance seems dated and dingy. This place needs a massive remodel.

I was really looking forward to eating here because of how much I love rooster co, but it was disappointing. The vibe was off, the server wasn’t attentive, it took 45 minutes for food to come out, and our food was lukewarm and overcooked.

Was able to enjoy a delicious vegan meal accompanied by a very nice vegan Malbec our server kindly located for me. My non-vegan friends loved the half chickens and salads.
