We enjoyed our dinner and how the staff accommodated when we arrived early for our reservation
Awesome burger. Great service.
We celebrated our anniversary with Birch’s restaurant week Surf & Turf special Delicious!!! I can’t say enough great things about Birch’s from the staff who are above and beyond in professional friendly service to the variety of choices and the food is fantastic! Our steak was truly the best! Try it you will love it at Birch’s! Great fun restaurant!
It was our first time going to Birch's on the Lake. I would definitely go back, maybe next time we'll try their brunch!
We always enjoy the food and service at Birch's.
We like that the chefs introduce different foods.
Goid service, good food and drinks
We love Birch's and would recommend it to anyone.
The large windows make it bright and cheerful, yet it's also cozy with fireplaces. Excellent views, efficient service and good food. This would be the place to take visitors (upscale but not stuffy). Upstairs is more formal; downstairs is more casual. They have firepits on the property and great outdoor deck space with heaters. The cheese curds come with a spicy sauce on the side (real spice - not MN spice) it was so good I put some on my burger.
Had a great date night with my husband, starting with a cocktail by a fire in the Brewhouse looking at the lake & a delicious dinner upstairs. I had the Walleye & he had the Prime Rib. The servers in both areas were amazing. A new (to us) favorite for sure!
Waited 15 min to be seated. Waitress saw us & said “oh great more people”
But yet never helped us.
Worst experience
Great date night spot. Loved the upstairs bar seating with the view of the lake.
First time I've eaten at a resturant in over a year. It was great. I'm glad I choose Birches on the Lake. It was a great Valentines Day dinner.
My wife and I went to Birch's for valentines day. Excellent food, service and beer as always.
We went for Valentine’s Day and it was worth every $$. The beef short ribs were delicious and we love their beer too. Highly recommended!
My husband and I love this place, the foos is always amazing and service is fantastic!
We have always had a great experience at Birches. We were there on Sunday for Valentino’s day dinner. Reservation was at 5:45. We got there early and had a drink at the bar. Received a text that our table was ready. (At 5:48) we then proceeded to wait by the host stand for approx 30 minutes as we watched others arrive, and get sat. Very frustrating. Waitress was OK. Food was good. Overall a mediocre night.
The best dinner I have had in several years. The service was outstanding and the food was incredible!!
Valentines day
We went there for Valentine’s Day and had a wonderful time. The food was great and our server, Bradley, was wonderful. Beautiful views of Long Lake and a nice warm fireplace to enjoy.
Great Brunch! We loved it. We always have wonderful food service and atmosphere when we go here.
Valentines outing
Wife and I went here on Valentines day for the first time. We reserved a table for brunch and dog sledding afterwards. Brunch was a complete joke. $45.00 per person and food was average at best. ( cold ) Flank steak at the so called carving station. literally the worst steak you can buy. It was like eating tasteless beef jerky. Extremely small variety to choose from and absolutely NO deserts. The Dogsledding lasted all of 8 minutes in frigid temps that even the poor dogs should not have had to endure. $145.00 total for the 2 of us. Brunch should have been no more than $10.00 per person. After a 40 mile drive each way. I was not impressed and would never go back here.
Awesome service, awesome food, awesome experience. Would highly recommend.
The food was as usual really good and our service was excellent. It is getting a downgraded review though because of two things... we were sitting by the host who was having some booking issues so unfortunately we heard about them. I get it, it is frustrating as a host, however, as a guest who is trying to enjoy my brunch I do not need to know about it. Also, we booked the Valentine's brunch thinking it would be valentine's themed however that was upstairs and we were given our table downstairs in a more pub like fashion. When we asked to move we were told no. Thank goodness for our server who was much better. Would I go back, yes. Would I recommend to a friend absolutely - I just think there are some training opportunities for the host staff.
Excellent service. Arrived early and told there might be a wait for our table so we went downstairs for a drink. The old fashioned and pretty in pink cocktails were delicious! Our table was ready right at reservation time! The food came out quick and to order and tasted excellent as always. Queen cut prime rib always pleases! Staff was attentive and friendly and made us feel welcome. We try to make it out to Birch’s 1-2 times/year, and will be coming back yet again! Thank you!!
Good: We were given a table right by the fireplace (on a cold day) and a nice view of the lake. Other tables were safely spaced away from us. Food and service was great. Bad: High prices seemed to be raised even higher recently. Steaks for $40+ with no sides. The music was so loud we could barely talk at the table. I asked the hostess to lower the volume, which was done, but then it was raised again after 30 min.
Corn clam chowder soup was AMAZING & perfect for the chilly day - Five stars!
Excellent Food and atmosphere Also I would go there again!
No social distances going. Bartenders not wearing face masks.
Always amazing from the hostess, food and staff. Scallops were incredible! My new favorite. Glad to be dining in house again! Was the perfect choice for our group.
The service was excellant. Took good care of us without hovering.
Helped us celebrate a birthday with a great dessert and well wishes
Jeff the manager and Brian the bartender are wonderful! Personable, accommodating, will definitely go there again, again and again. Thank you guys
Grandson leaving for Marine boot camp.
Great atmosphere and fun to see my neighborhood friends. I love Birches and their dining deck this winter has been fun.
The entire family had an open night and we wanted away from the rat race for an engaging family night out at one of our favorite restaurants. It was wonderful.
Absolutely love this place! Great ambiance and great food!
Great food, great service. However, there was no social distancing - tables were close together. In fact, the server repeatedly bumped the back of my chair just to access the table right behind me. A table nearby was having a birthday party - at least 8-10 people. As we were leaving the restaurant I noticed the entire space was congested, and the parking was as full as it ever was prior to COVID-19. For this reason, I will not re-visit Birch's until COVID-19 is a done deal.
Like everyone we have hardly been able to go out but we went for lunch and even brought our 11month old. The atmosphere is kind of upscale casual which I love. The staff was so friendly the service was amazing! A little spendy for lunch but it was so good, so, worth it. Get the Lobster Artichoke Dip! Yum!
Good food and ambiance! Like the quiet drive to the restaurant!
Great service from staff and calm atmosphere to enjoy time out with family!
