A very nice ambiance! Food was very good for adventurous eaters.
We were very disappointed with the pork belly fried rice. The pork belly was dry, overcooked and cold. The serve staff was excellent. The setting is wonderful. Food is just ok, especially since it's at resort prices. We've had better meals there in the past. A new chef?
Elegant atmosphere, delicious high quality ingredients
The staff was amazing the food was so so
Overall a very pleasant surprise
Great food and very friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
The food was outstanding and the ambiance with the sunset taking place was incredible.
A birthday dinner that could not have been better. The service and the food were incredible.
The Chef Experience on the menu was very disappointing. The skewers, fried rice and ramen noodle were cold and partly uncooked.
The best meal on our trip! The fried rice and the mac shrimp were my favorites but everything we tried was excellent. The service was excellent as well. I read some the negative reviews and was kind of hesitant to dine here but I look forward to returning.
Beautiful setting with amazing service. The chicken was dry, the shrimp wasn’t good, mahi-mahi was excellent, steak was excellent, veggies were good .
Amazing food and ambiance.
Service was good after we received our drinks. Interesting menu selections. Overall very good.
We enjoyed our stay celebrating 30th anniversary, visiting from Maui. Friendly lovely hosts were welcoming: Derek and Lani. Chelsi was excellent server and young man busser friendly, too. Great peaceful outside setting, liked the torches. Beautiful presentation. Root vegetable salad (like green papaya salad, but carrots, daikon, etc.) Binchotan white Japanese charcoal grill is a great concept. We loved the grill sampler supplemented by avocado: asparagus, Smoked pork belly, Ribeye steak, Ali'i mushrooms, chicken yakitori--and variety of flavorful sauces. Great desserts, surprisingly light: Ube cheesecake and Matcha green tea cake with strawberries. We enjoyed having the delightful 2 large tables of Japanese families with children near us, and they enjoyed the food, too! A lovely evening. So relaxing. Will definitely return.
Beautiful outdoor setting in Fairmont Orchid Hotel.
The food was excellent and service was spot on!
Amazing! Macadamia Nut Shrimp was incredible! And the fried rice was super delicious too! Amazing views!! Highly recommend!!
8 of us had dinner there. The menu is deceiving as far as prices go. We all ended up sharing the “experience” as couples. We got appetizers which were extremely small and had to order more. We loved their ginger ales until we got the bill. Ridiculous. We ordered desserts because it was a special occasion. The desserts were not good at all. For 8 people the total was close to $900. We wanted to split bill a few different ways and she said she wasn’t able to do it that way. Came back with receipts and was trying to charge us a higher amount than what it was originally and then made some lame excuse and no apology. Just wasn’t cool. The food was fairly good but not worth the price AT ALL. worst meal on our vaca.
Wonderful and unique dining experience. Food was delicious and service was great. Beautiful atmosphere.
Beautiful outdoor setting. Nice servers. Interesting food. Good value given the setting, especially if you want a light meal. Appreciated the vegetarian options.
Everyone was so friendly, our server Julia was excellent and made sure we had a special evening for our first night in Hawaii. The dining experience was just perfect for what we were looking for - small plates to share, ending with ice cream and sorbet! And of course the view is beautiful! Thank you Julia!
Very unique restaurant with delicious food featuring island grown produce!
We had 2 platters, edamame, and fried rice. Excellent food. Our waitress was attentive. The setting is peaceful with garden setting and looking out to ocean. Had a wonderful time here
On vacation. We enjoyed it so much that this was our 2nd visit in a week. Our server Heather was outstanding!
Great food, service and ambiance. Nothing to find fault with and I’m a seasoned 5-star restaurant pro.
Fredo was awesome.... we were happy he helped us... Get his table if you can.. :)
Really delicious food… Super attentive and helpful and wonderful staff… And a beautiful setting… What a treat!
Some of the food was dried out. Servings were skimpy.
Fredo was our server and he was outstanding! He explained the menu thoroughly, entertained us with funny stories and was genuinely very caring and solicitous of us and made sure we had a fantastic experience. He took excellent care of us and made the evening so much more enjoyable. Yummy tapas style menu, so smaller portions but very tasty. We sat on the patio enjoying the lovely view and sunset.
We had amazing service! They accommodated our reservations from 4 to 8 people.
Our Waiter Sam was amazing, he brought great service and explained menu and answer all our questions, He has the aloha Spirit, Friendly and Caring. Everything we order tasted so delicious! Definitely going back again and would recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends!
Obnoxious Panda Express. $22 drinks!! The food is mediocre at best.
With reservation they still made us wait even though we arrived exactly on time. Once we finally got to our table we got the waters right away. From that point the service disappeared. Eventually we ordered our diluted drinks which took forever to arrive. Then we got some of our food, then long pause again. Eventually the waitress showed up and we ordered second round of drinks, then very long pause followed by the arrival of the second part of food order. And finally as we were finishing our food the drinks arrived! At that point we ordered deserts for kids and proactively requested the check. Guess what - the check arrived first!
This place will die just like any other poorly managed restaurant as soon as other places will reopen at normal capacity. Don’t waste your time and money and go to Panda.
Cold food. Poor restaurant concept for a 5 star resort
Our fist time visit! Thank you! The staff was amazing and food was incredible! We will be back!
We had the grilled meats - it was cold and over cooked. Our drinks came after the food.
Food was incredible. (Crispy tuna and the binchotan experience). Server was so sweet. Drinks were delicious! By far our favorite dinner out while on the big island!
Dinner for two - we are foodies and have had some good experiences in the last week. We are looking for high quality food and drinks , price no object
We were delayed being seated by about 15 minutes despite being early. Several larger parties arrived after us and were seated before us. The “Maitre de” was frankly swearing and didn’t care
The service was awful.
Our overpriced cocktails arrived half way through our appetizers despite ordering 15 minutes plus prior. The waiter apologized several times and said our drinks would be comp,d - which they were not.
Tempura cauliflower was soggy.the root veg salad was very good
Entrees are tiny - avocado is two quarter avocados , the corn is one ear of corn split in three, asparagus was over cooked and soggy and the shrimp ( two) were over cooked. The two mahi mahi skewers were quite nice
Ambiance is poor - typical somewhat plastic weave chairs and tables . Wind blew umbrellas over onto tables at times.
Folks did their bear however , Service was the worst I have encountered in a long time abs the food was 2/10 if we are being generous
Great outdoor seating, nice views of sunset, service was good, food was good (meat was a little overcoooked but good flavors), excellent cocktails. The cute little black kitten wandering for scraps was a bonus. Clean and quick service too.
We loved the menu and had a great time sampling many dishes and sharing with friends. We will definitely return.
Very unique style of dinning but also very good. The food is great and so is the service. Located in the Fairmont Orchid Hotel, the location is excellent. We loved it.
Our group had dinner two nights in a row because we enjoyed it so much. The food was wonderful and unique, the setting beautiful, and, most of all, the staff was outstanding. Kind, gracious and fun, the staff added a element of “special” to a great dining experience. Thank you so much!
