Michelin-Rated and considered “...considered one of Staten Island’s top places to eat,” by the New York Times, Bin 5 originally opened in July of 2011 as a cozy, convenient spot for North Shore restaurant-goers. Formerly the historic Aesop’s Table, Bin 5 has always had a reputation to uphold, as we continue to pursue simply, delicious food and drink. Voted Staten Islands’ Best Restaurant of 2015 and Best Fancy Cocktails of 2016 and 2017 by the Staten Island Advance Readers’ Choice Awards, there is no establishment working harder to consistently deliver local, fresh, seasonal produce, prime meats, craft spirits, and hand-selected wines. Over time, Bin 5 has recruited a series of talented, passionate team members with the same vision - to create a thoughtful dining experience. We are a close-knit family and we welcome you to our home. Thank you for being here.
We enjoyed the 5 course meal with added wine accompaniments.
We are already planning to go back for al-carte menu!
My recommendation? Go !
Great food, accommodating service, very hospitable. Would be happy to return.
Excellent service. Fantastic food great wine.
Always an unbelievable experience dining at Bin 5
I am always impressed and satisfied with my experiences at Bin 5. Innovative cuisine and variations on classics are always excellent. The wine selections are varied and not the “routine” wines by the glass as in so many other locales. Highly recommended and I will be back next week with friends
Bin 5 has delicious food and cocktails. We went for the tasting menu and wine pairing and it was a fabulous time. I highly recommend Bin 5!
I love this place and cannot wait to go back.
Our appetizer of meatballs was so close to how my grandmother’s tasted, absolutely delicious.
I had rigatoni carbonara that was out of this world and my husband finished every last drop of his seafood risotto.
For dessert, we shared the cookie crumble which was just the perfect amount of decedent.
Staff is friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about their wines!
10/10 from me!
Bin 5 always a good choice. Never disappoints.
Energetic crowd on a Saturday night - party going on in the garden area.
Drinks are the best on the Island.
Perfect place as a go to spot. Food is consistently good
The tasting and wine pairing menu is excellant. I cant wait to go back..
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. What more could you ask for. I've eaten there six times in four weeks.
We went expecting one menu from looking online at it, but when we got there, we were given another menu which was much better than the online one. Food was delicious. I had a piece of pecan pie that was about a quarter of the pie.
Monkfish ceviche was stunning! The chef always has some surprises on the menu. Always highly satisfied with the food and attentive service. This is a gem that stands above the local food scene
I went to Bin5 Last night for dinner for my birthday. We sat outside, it was perfect. Dinner was amazing. We all did the tasting menu. The portions were just enough. Everything, EVERYTHING was fresh. Cannot rave about this dinner any more. The service was great. It took a bit of time to get out drinks and apps but again, everything is so fresh, it was worth the wait.
Awesome place and great food!!!
Great restaurant. Nice friendly vibe, amazing food! Excellent service!
We were seated outdoors, which was neither charming, nor tidy.
A couple of sad looking pine bushes that almost completely lost their needles and some dusty pebbles served as the backyard décor.
We ordered Brussels Sprouts Caesar salad, but it was so heavy on the dressing and overloaded with croutons, that we left almost all of it on the plate.
The $28 Pan Seared Branzino, while fine in taste, left me puzzled, as I've never seen a smaller Branzino fillet. Was it a baby Branzino when caught or some other fish, sold as Branzino?
The drink was horrible because the wrong proportions made it unbearably sweet. In addition, there was something wrong with the lemon juice in the drink. It was either that the fresh lemon was waaaay past its due date or that some kind of a terribly tasting artificial sour was used instead. Regardless, the drink was sent back.
Overall, it was a mediocre experience, hence my 3-star rating.
Had the tasting menu without the wine. For $35.00 it is a great deal. Food was absolutely delicious.
Next time I'll try the wine pairing
Great meal and drinks as always!
My boyfriend and I went for their Chef and Somm pairing, and it did not disappoint. You get a five course meal with an option to pair each with a different wine, $35 for the meal with an additional $15 to do the pairing. The portion sizes were perfect, and the food and wine AMAZING. It was our first time there, and we will be back!
We sat outside in the back. It was a beautiful night and much quieter than dining inside. The drinks were great. I definitely recommend the Old Fashion. We started out with the Bone marrow crostini and calamari. Both were delicious as well as our main courses, the Branzino and the short ribs. Highly recommended. Some of the best food I’ve eaten on the Island.
The food was excellent. We had the duck confit flatbread which was tasty but small. My husband had the duck tacos ghat he enjoyed. I had the boneless short ribs with gnocchi which was delicious, however, there wasn’t much gnocchi. The drinks and service were excellent. The cocktail menu is very creative, and drinks are always terrific.
The Thursday night, 5 Course Tasting menu was delicious! Every course had great flavors. You can also opt for the wine pair with each course, which nicely compliments the meal.
Delicious, creative food. Great staff. Fabulous cocktails. Small setting. What else is there?
Drinks were amazing, very cozy/friendly atmosphere, great vibe.
Loved the place
Everything was delicious. We had the sampling menu with the wine pairing. The wine pairing was perfect for each course. The staff was on point, It was a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Great food & service !
Great restaurant, small but perfect menu, food was delicious wait staff was knowledgeable. Drinks were on point !
Will definitely be going back
Highly recommend. Excellent food and service. Great menu selection!!
The food is creative and delicious every single time and the owners are knowledgeable and helpful.
Wonderful meal with wine pairing 🍷
Once again another amazing experience at Bin 5! Went for my birthday to finally check out the tasting menu with wine pairings and everything (food, wine, service) went above and beyond my expectations!
Great food. Great service! Danny was extremely friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be going back again!
Excellent everything!!!! Too much incense that smelled like smoke was the only negative, other than that, food and service were amazing! Will keep coming back!
The tasting menu with wine pairing is a must !
The food is amazing !
Saturday was our 2nd visit in 3 weeks. We sat outside which is so lovely and much quieter than inside. The food is spectacular and the servers are always so friendly and accommodating. You won't be disappointed-
everything was wonderful, from the bartender himself taking our drink order, dinner and dessert being served
Always an excellent experience.. we introduced another couple to Bin 5 and everyone loved it. From apps to dessert, everything was delicious, the service was right on target and the ambiance was perfect. They go out of their way to give you a wonderful experience.
The food is always spectacular as are the cocktails. The menu selections are carefully chosen and prepared. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
We have patronized Bin 5 a few times, and considered it well above average for Staten Island eateries. Mind you not a very high standard. We decided to celebrate a birthday there-at the request of the celebrant. We arrived on time, and with some unknown issue, and we were seated. I advised them of the reservation, during a previous visit there was an "issue" about my reservation, that was squelched by a confirmation e-mail from Opentable. Ordering was interesting, slightly confused staff, multiple servers, nonetheless the orders were placed, food arrived and was woefully disappointing. It is worth noting that other visits were on a Saturday and this one was a Thursday evening. As for noise- if one dines in neighborhood places it is impossible to control the noise of patrons. So that is an understandable issue. I wish Mr.Ippolito success, he certainly has many regular customers. We will not be among them.
Outstanding creative menu. Their wine pairing special menu, Mon- Thurs is a must try. Wine pairing prepared in conjunction with their chef and sommelier/ owner will enhance your dining experience.
