Amazing venue and fantastic service, exceeded our exceptions.
So lovely! Wish we had time to stay and eat, will definitely be coming back
We didn’t eat there. But for the wine tasting it was very clinical and very little atmosphere. Clean but not friendly. The young girl who was switched to us knew her stuff but didn’t relate on a personal level - that will come with experience and confidence.
Fanastic atmosphere with great staff. Wine was beautiful. Definitely recommend 10/10.
Pizza and food good. But wine tasting was disappointing. For $15 each wasn’t worth comparing to other wineries around and what they offer with it.
Our tasting was great! The lady who looked after us was fanstastic! Bit of a shame there was a large, noisy table next to us but there wasn’t anything anyone could do about that. Would be back again
FANTASTIC pizza, pretty good wines, great views. Great aesthetic
Someone else used my card and made a reservation under my name. I was never at bimbadgen.
Tasting is in addition to the purchase of wine... was kinda turned off from that
Best wine tasting in the Hunter. The girls were so friendly and authentic
Original person who started helping us put a real damper on our wine tasting adventure because she had a miserable “doing us a favour” attitude. What seemed like the cellar door manager took over serving us and she was really lovely and helped to turn the experience around. The wines were acceptable, the premium tasting definitely offers better quality wines, well worth experiencing. To note for visitors, the tastings are paid per person obviously, but you need to both choose 6 out of the 10+ wines on offer for the tasting, BUT you have to choose the same 6. This was annoying for us because we have different palettes so even though we were both paying, we had to compromise and sacrifice some options for the other persons palette (eg sweet when you prefer dry) rather than let us just taste our preferences. Definitely feels like a mass produced corporate venue rather than the humble personal tastings we’d been to prior.
Didn’t want to stay for the food, just rated good because they looked alright as they passed us...this rating system doesn’t have a not applicable option...
Staff were not very helpful. Very disappointed with the service as staff weren’t very attentive. I asked more about signing up to the wine club and it was explained as 20% off cellar door and at the Esca restaurant upstairs and accommodation so sounded like a great deal so I joined as we had a reservation at Esca after our tasting. Only to find out after dining upstairs the 20% was only off drinks, not happy as that was not how it was explained at the tasting. Lucky I love the Moscato or I would have cancelled my membership. I will not visit Bimbadgen again or recommend it to anyone for tasting. Definitely not a highlight of our trip!!! The food at Esca was amazing only plus in this review.
The service from these two young women was outstanding! We travelled from Wollongong for a wedding and were so impressed with the service we will absolutely be back! Thankyou guys
Diana was fabulous, great knowledge about the wines. Great quality wines and nice to try some different varieties, especially the Fiano.
Lovely staff, lovely wine and was a quiet rainy day! Really enjoyed the experience.
Beautiful wines! It’s surprising the lack of food and wine tasting available in the Hunter. Highly recommend getting a cheese and wine tasking option. Kind, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Also the pizza is amazing! Highly recommend.
I don't want to write a review thanks. Experience was very good.
Generally a really nice experience with great wine a lovely setting
We were greeted by a warm and welcoming team, seated comfortably in a section that get cosy and private. Our Sommelier was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable (and put up with our dumb jokes!). It was a comfortable and relaxing tasting and went home with some absolutely lovely bottles.
We finished the visit with a pizza to take away which was fresh and delicious! Highly recommend!
One of the best cellar door experiences and we will be back. The lady we had was so friendly and informative
Exceptional tasting and wonderful service and knowledge. The pizzas are fabulous too. Beautiful place..
Had the 'Premium' tasting. $15 per head. 7 Wines. Wines were only current vintages and the small testing sample was insufficient to actually have a proper tasting. The setting is terrific and the staff reasonably knowledgeable and friendly. Great view outside.
The young lady that completed the wine tasting with us was great. We felt we were left sitting for long periods of times as she had to attend to other tables as well.
Really enjoyed the wine tasting & cheese board. Great knowledge and lovely staff, plus stunning views.
We were in the Hunter Valley for a wedding and needed a lunch venue close by and knew this would be a great place to go.
My friend and I really enjoyed our wine tasting. The service and environment was fabulous, not to mention the amazing wine. Definitely a new favourite! We do have to give a shout out to a very friendly man who, during the worst part of Friday afternoon’s storm, gave us umbrellas and followed us to our car while getting absolutely soaked. We think his name is Richard? What a nice guy and such a nice thing to do! Overall 10/10 experience!
We actually had lunch in your restaurant, the food was amazing, very tasty and the portions were just right.
This was my first experience at Bimbadgen, my guests and I were very happy with the service and the overall experience.
We had a lovely CoVID wine tasting followed by pizza on the terrace on Melbourne Cup Day. We were the only people there and it felt like a private lunch. Staff were fabulous!
We were there for a wine tasting and service was top notch. We were allowed to taste all the wines on the list and no pressure to buy, although we bought two bottles. No food was provided or asked for so cannot rate the food there.
My friends and i were visiting Hunter Valley and we booked a wine tasting at Bimbagen because it was one of the few wineries that would take a booking for ten people (covid). The staff were super nice and lovely and the moscato was delicious. Most, if not all, left the place with a bottle of that and because we bought a bottle, we didn't have to pay for the wine tasting. Thank you for the lovely experience!
Highly recommend the wood fire pizza out in the courtyard. Great atmosphere with views.
Excellent service from Dianna with a decent taste of the wines and a fantastic value for money Charcuterie plate. A great experience.
It was our first experience at Bimbadgen and the two lady out there were excellent and provided us a best service.. hoping to visit next time too.
We only had a wine tasting which was lovely. The staff were really friendly and informative. The noise however was a little overwhelming. Recommend the wines.
What a special cellar door. Friendly service, great atmosphere, outstanding wines.
I have been a member for only a short time. I found I only slightly liked one of the wines so it was not really a great experience as far as the wines were concerned. The ambience was okay but a fair amount of noise for the amount of people in the venue. The people were friendly which was nice. However, as I like sweet wines, I have found that this is not the winery for me. If you like dry wines you will like this winery.
We didn’t dine here, only wine tasting. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Very pleasant experience
Staff not friendly at all, the worst in all wineries I have been. The wines are ok, but only average. The place is quite nice, beautiful view, but the experience overall was poor. Would not come back nor reccomend
