Service was meh. Food came to the table incorrect twice and the waiter basically said ‘I don’t think you know how to order your food.’ At that point, we just let it go and tried to enjoy the rest of the night with our company.
The food was fabulous. Service was also great. I had the scallops and grits and we shared the Brussels sprouts and sweet potato. Would recommend everything. The sweet potato was the most unique! If I come to Dallas again I’d go back!
Great quality food, awesome customer and ambiance.
Looking forward to taking friends and family there again!
Our experience at Billy Can Can was excellent from the start. The hostess and our server were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. They have a great selection of local craft beers, whiskey drinks and cocktails. We had the crispy brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were delicious (the bacon pieces were SO good). My husband had the pork chop and I had the smoked chicken and we shared a side of the cast iron skillet cornbread - we both finished our entire entrees and the cornbread is a MUST HAVE! We enjoyed the decor, ambiance and music at the restaurant, as well. Great spot!
This was my 4th time dining at Billy Can Can and each time was great! Does not disappoint, great to bring out of town guests! The veal Tatar is amazing!
Love this place. Had a reservation and although the had an empty dining room, they sat us in the bar. Normally that’s not a big deal but I was with my young daughter. I had the short rib, it was good but very fatty. I would not order it again. The Caesar Salas was great as was the banana pudding. Our server was great. .
Very cool atmosphere. Loved the theme and detailed characteristics. Food was great. Deviled eggs appetizer kicked things off nicely. We had butchers cut steak and wagyu flat iron. The dessert left us a little disappointed. The chili pepper-esque ice cream was served with the pecan butter cake. I would definitely suggest they switch back to vanilla.
Had a good time! Will check it out again. Busy part of town, parking difficult.
Amazing service! Derek was our waiter, he was very informative and attentive. Delicious food and an overall fantastic experience.
Altho the food, service and ambiance were what I had expected...very good...I had mentioned it was my birthday celebration to my server and was extremely disappointed that he never picked up on it...
I think there used to be a field on open table to indicate if the reservation was for a special event and if it’s still there I couldn’t find it
Will probably return to BCC but not to celebrate a special event :(
Thank you for your time...
Food and service was absolutely great. Music was too loud for that type of atmosphere. Hard to hear the person sitting directly next to me.
Great food and great service. This is a restaurant where you will never be rushed.
Very nice atmosphere and great personal service.
This was our third time here. The past two times were above and beyond and this experience was not quite the same. It was our anniversary and it almost seemed like the server was told that halfway through our meal because he randomly brought us a glass of champagne right after we had already ordered a glass of wine. Appreciated but awkward timing. The venison tartare is bomb. Our server was training a new server named Zach that was incredible. It was only his third day, but he was really attentive and kind.
This place has an amazing food and drink menu. Be sure and try the deviled eggs!
LOVED this restaurant. Interesting menu. Great whiskey and wine list. Super servers.
Great meal, the venison tartare is perfect. Good wine list. Only negative they don’t serve espresso, would have finished my meal off perfectly.
Me and my friends had the best service and food at Billy Can Can.
Billy Can Can has it all! Secluded dining in the back, a bar scene next to dining with windows on the street so you don't miss a thing. It all adds to the energy of your dining experience and you are just another group having fun! The fresh catch of the day was perfectly cooked and well prepared. Experiment with something new! you won't be disappointed! Servers are very attentive almost invisible.
Delicious food great service awesome ambience
Down in Dallas for the Stars vs Caps game and looking for some place close to our AirBNB and the area we found Billy Can Can.
We had reservations at 5 when they opened and when we got there at 5 there were very few people in the restaurant and it worried me thinking we picked a dud. Within 15 minutes the restaurant was packed. I am really glad we had reservations.
Now on to the service. Seated right away (see above) and then along came Tom, our attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating waiter. He was perfect and is one of the reasons BCC gets the 5 stars.
Now on to the food and drink. We had 2 hours to game time so we didn’t want to rush. We started with beer, Velvet Hammer Imperial red ale and Great Hall Hefe. Both beers were amazing. We decided to get the little gougères appetizer. Wow. They were small, airy and super tasty. A must try. Save your extra sauce if you get fries! Makes a great dipping sauce for fries too.
I decided on the steak frites and my guy got the wild boar pasta. The 2nd reason for the 5 stars were the frites that came with my steak. Hands down the best fries I have ever had. EVER. The steak was perfectly cooked at medium rare. It came with steak sauce but the steak did not need it. It was perfectly seasoned. The wild boar pasta was not gamy at all, but instead had a rich deep pork roast flavor.
We had a little time to kill and decided to get a desert tonight. We
got a pecan cake with chili ice cream. We didn’t taste any “chili” but it was a tasty way to end our evening.
If you haven’t been to BCC, I think you’re missing a gem down in Victory land.
Stellar food and attentive staff. Themed, but not in a tacky way. Highly recommended!
We had one hour to sit and eat before we had to leave for a concert. We ordered immediately but it took over 40 minutes to receive our food. They did make up for it and didn’t charge us but by the time the food came we had to scarf it down and leave quickly. Very frustrating but I do appreciate them apologizing and making up for it.
Best pork chop I’ve ever eaten.
Food and service was excellent. Love the ringing bell!
Server was very knowledgeable. Decor and atmosphere were great! Food was fantastic especially all the steaks!
We had a great time. Amazing food and drinks and our friends loved it too!
Top restaurant in Dallas. Food quality is exceptional, friendly and attentive service, and nice decor. U can’t go wrong dining here
Really cool finish out of the restaurant. The food was amazing, especially the cornbread...WOW....so good. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place.
Excellent experience ! Excellent gin cocktail with a homemade lime cordial. Delicious! Got the butcher steak and frites and it was cooked perfect. Great flavor in the homemade steak sauce. The cornbread was to die for and I love the carrots although they weren’t my husbands favorite. Service was excellent -we will be back!
The corn-bread is a must-try for any new guests. I felt very comfortable and romantic celebrating my 2 year wedding anniversary with my Wife. The drinks we ordered were great and the food came out promptly. At the end of our meal, we received some bubbly on the house as well as a desert to-go because they knew the occasion. That was a very nice touch! Great service from a waiter who just got a verbal lashing from our booth neighbors who weren't pleased with one of their dishes. I'm glad he didn't let that prevent his attentiveness to us. We loved it and hope to visit again soon.
What an awesome place to meet up with friends and the food was so delicious. We had the catch of the day which was grouper with mixed grilled vegetables and a green salad. Melt in your mouth. The service was excellent.
Such a fun spot! Food and service was fabulous!
Menu items were spotty. Appetizers fared better then entrees. Chicken Pate spread w jalapeño jelly was good. Oyster slider good as well. Burger for $17 not worth it. No flavor, couldn’t tell there was bacon on it and for $17 pretty pricy for what you get, most other places offer a Wagyu version. Fries had an outstanding taste, fresh and hot. Chicken entree was decent but the Brussels were bland.
We were an hour early for our reservation so we sat at the bar for a drink and never left. Adam was our bartender and was very nice, so we stayed at the bar for dinner.
Awesome food and service. Corn bread and venison tar tar are both must haves.
But I would NOT recommend the Short Rib. I ordered this dish because I like my beef well done. Ordering short rib in any restaurant is usually a safe bet for me. The server said it was prepared in a sous vide for 48 hours so I was excited. When the plate arrived I was surprised that it looked so charred considering it’s preparation but I’m all for well-done so I dug right in. Oddly it was full of fat. Every bite was overpowered with fat...never did I get to the tenderness that comes with short ribs. So I reported it and they offered to bring me another one. Fair. Except the second dish looked like a completely different meal. Not only was it not charred but it looked COMPLETELY RAW AND FULL OF FAT. It was a HUGE serving of gross, red meat. I was so shocked by the appearance that I asked if they brought the right meal. Obviously, this well-done girl was not going to eat that dish. They were nice to remove it from my bill and offered us free dessert. Just a super-weird experience with a dish....they need to work on consistency.
