Great food, great staff, great feel. Will use this as a go to place to bring out of town guests.
We were nervous and it was our first time out to eat since the pandemic began. It turned out lovely and we enjoyed the moment quite a lot. The food was yummy. Thank you!
We had not been to Bida Manda in 2 years. I forgot how delicious their food is. Very relaxing, great service, excellent drinks, and delicious food.
First dinner out in a while with my wife due to COVID restrictions . We we happy to see Bida Manda open for dine in reservations. We were not disappointed. Great food as always and we look forward to eating here again in the future.
Overall, I missed Bida Manda so much and glad they opened back up! The food was amazing as always! The service was great and they even surprised by fiance with dessert since it was his birthday! Best place to go to in downtown Raleigh.
We had the best experience. Loved it.
Very good service and an authentic menu!
This was one of the best meals I have ever had in Raleigh or ever. Top rated restaurant and absolutely delicious!
We loved the place... the atmosphere was fantastic! The service was also very good. The food was pretty good too! However, we felt as though the food was pricy for just “pretty good.” We felt like, if we sacrificed the other elements of the dining experience, such as the very attentive service and upscale atmosphere, we could have (and have) gotten the same quality meal elsewhere for half the price. It is important to note that the dishes are very large! We really could have split an entree and an app, and had plenty. Perhaps that plays into the prices. Another note is about the chicken... I asked whether or not our respective entrees were a white meat cut or dark meat, as we both prefer white meat. I was assured that both were white meat, and while my dining partner’s pad Thai was indeed white meat, my curry was a combination. It was still good, but I think I would have reconsidered my dish had I been correctly informed. My final note is about cilantro. I’m one of those *lucky* (read: terribly unlucky) few to whom cilantro tastes like soap. I can kind of avoid it or try to focus on other flavors in most dishes, but I try to order while being mindful of that aversion in most cases. I found that 2/3 dishes we ordered heavily favored the cilantro flavor, unfortunately for me. I’m sure this isn’t a problem for most people (and is perhaps a pro! My dining partner adores cilantro!), but something to flag for those like me!
Overall, a nice experience... I will probably go back, but I will be a little more cautious with the menu. While I had many friends say they preferred Bida Manda to Brewery Bhavana, I will have to disagree with the sentiment for now. Presently, I significantly prefer Brewery Bhavana.
Food and service was great. Wines selection very limited. The wines we had were way below the level a place like this shybe serving
One of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh. I love the pork belly soup; it’s a must have. I have a shellfish allergy and a lot of their food is cooked in the same areas as the shrimp, etc. but they are very accommodating and ensured my safety when I reported my allergies. There were still many options even with my allergies. The setting is very romantic and I love the ambience and decor.
Excellent food, cocktails and service! Has been a Raleigh favorite since the first visit 5 years ago!
Glad they are open for service. Great food, service, and experience.
Where does one begin. My God, this place was top drawer all the way. Our server Mathew was incredible, he asked, he explained, he was attentive, on a Saturday night no less w all the craziness that ensues on a busy night. The food was off the charts, the stuffed peppers and the Saffron crepe where just intense. The cocktails were beautifully orchestrated, overall a great time and will certainly be returning when I get back to Raleigh.
Favorite restaurant in Raleigh, hands down. Really special new things to try, along with wonderful versions of classics. Seriously, incredible flavors, amazing atmosphere and design - love.
My second time here and was pleased to bring along three others that had not been to Bida Manda before. It was the perfect experience. From the unique cocktails, amazing apps, tasty entrees and superior service.
Food was great!
I was thrilled to finally be able to visit Bida Manda! Due to its deserved popularity, short notice evening reservations are hard to come by, so lunch proved to be a great option. I thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly soup. It is unlike anything I've ever had. For a soup, it is incredibly rich and filling. The portion was so large that I had more than enough for lunch the next day. Our server Sophia was so friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside (and a small one for me) is that the table next to us was very very close. I look forward to going back to Bida Manda and trying some of the other great menu options!
The food was delicious! I'll definitely be coming back!
Amazing meal. The most flavorful dishes I have had. I recommend the papaya salad with duck.
The Green Papaya salad with Lemongrass Chicken is absolutely delightful. Highly recommended.
We attended dinner at Bida Manda for our second anniversary. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. They start by bringing out some complimentary shrimp chips, which were really pleasant. Our waiter recommended the lettuce wraps as an appetizer and they were hands down the best dish of the night... I’m not usually a lettuce wrap kind of guy either. We split the Manda Herb Salad with chicken and Tom Khem (short ribs and pork belly) and they balanced each other nicely. The short ribs were a little dry, but the gravy and fatty pork belly balanced them out well and they tasted delicious. The salad was really nicely balanced. The food is about $20 per entree, but we have enough leftovers for both of our lunches tomorrow, so the value is good for the price.
After the waiter packed up our food, he brought us some complimentary macarons to celebrate our anniversary. They were the best macarons we’ve ever had, and I’ve been to Paris. To cleanse our palates at the end of the meal, they served us each a small shot of lemon juice, lime juice, and ginger, which was a great way to wrap up the wonderful experience. We’re moving soon, but if we’re ever in town again, we’ll be revisiting Bida Manda for sure.
Our server Savannah was fantastic, so was the food and drink. Always a great time!
Really delicious and great service.
Food took over an hour to come out. I had ordered a thai tea and it was not ready. They said it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. 20 minutes later they brought out a tea that was nothing like how it normally is. When the food came out it came out very spread out. over 15 minutes between when my food came out and when my guests did. I was very disappointed by this since I have had good experiences in the past and wanted to share with others but was very much let down. Food was good unsure if I would bring friends for lunch session again.
Service was super; but too noisy, otherwise great!
Great place, great food
Had a great date time with hubby
Love this place so of course I chose it for my birthday dinner with my best friends. The service is awesome and those waitresses are the nicest people ever! The appetizers are so delicious, it’s hard to save room for my main course but you have to try it all! My favorite is the lettuce wraps and chicken stirfry. Thank you for the desserts… So many wonderful choices and so delicious! Try the special margarita and you won’t regret it👍🏼
Really good cocktail, strong and flavorful. Nice atmosphere. Waiter was very nice and professional. We had spring rolls, papaya salad with lemongrass chicken that could have been boring in bad hands but was extremely flavorful and delicious, and a short rib/pork belly dish that was delicious. Can’t find any fault with this place.
Always delicious and fresh!!
The pork belly soup is always great!! Very attentive service staff!
Interesting menu and tasty preparation of both cocktails and food. One our our favorite restaurants in Raleigh.
Everything was fantastic. Our server was able to answer all of our questions about the menu and give suggestions. Everything we ordered was delicious. Made for a fantastic date night
Exceptional food, service, and atmosphere! Highly Recommend.
The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was superb. Will most definitely come back.
Diana was a great server. Very attentive and made sure our dietary needs were met and that our food was spectacular. Our table was ready on time as per our reservation.
Fantastic as usual.
Will absolutely be back!
Beyond superb service.
What makes this place good is how knowledgable the servers are on the food. All these questions they can answer so clearly and simply.
The food quality is always superb.
