About Biagio's Osteria
Rustic Southern Italian kitchen with strong influence from Tuscany. All professional staff with over 30 years experience.
"It is most certainly a gourmet establishment with a menu from top to bottom that is exquisitely creative with tastes and flavors and choices that make selections so joyously difficult--and with a wine list to match food and pocketbook. Consider this the now best Italian restaurant in the state. Three cheers for Biagio the chef."
"Concealed jewel, but easily accessible off the parkway. Esteemed staff that goes about taking care of your every need, especially the maitre d'. Exceptional menu with meals that make you crave for more. The homemade pasta dishes are unequaled to any place in the state. This is an elite restaurant that I will entertain my family and my business clients at. Head chef will go above and beyond his means for satisfaction of customer."

Biagio's Osteria Ratings and Reviews
Food was fantastic. We had a reservation. When we entered the restaurant no one was at the desk. We waited and finally I went to find some one. We were seated and given menus and a wine list. Nothing special about the seating and room was cold (not temperature). We waited for someone to take a wine order and no one came. Again I had to go find a waiter to wait on us.
Very poor service for such and excellent menu.
I usually love Biagios..it it one of my favorite restaurants. I would go again but not on New Year's Eve. We had reservations but had to wait 10 minutes for the waiter to clear a table. There were too many tables crammed into all rooms of the crowded restaurant. The noise level was over the top. Food was very good as always. Felt rushed. We were in and out of the restaurant in 45 minutes. Not what I expected on New Year's Eve.
Wow!!! experienced Biagio's Tasting Menu it was out of this world! Homemade Pasta with fresh Seasonal ingredients paired with wine was like nothing we have tasted before! If you haven't been here before or even in a while it is a must try you will not be disappointed! the Service was equally amazing. we had a chance to talk with the owner also the chef and his detailed description of ingredients was outstanding. Love this Place 5 stars all around.
My go to place to close my deals. Primo service is the best around. Call ahead to get the table by the fire place for an extra special touch. Biagio accommodated some special fish request we had a few days before and knocked it out of the park. Also ask for the chef style appetizers.
Brought my sister and her husband who live in Virginia here. They loved it! We have been many times and just love the food! Love the Gamberi Amalfi Shrimp dish with the lemoncello sauce! Have never had a bad meal here. Service is also excellent! A real gem!
I truly appreciate great food and service, and when it came to choosing a spot for my birthday this was first on my list. It was definitely too long since I had been back. They took great personal care of our table and all four of us really enjoyed the night, cuisine and overall experience!
Wow this place was a rare find! Recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Service was above and beyond expectations, Food was True Authentic Italian. Perfect spot for friends and family laid back atmosphere a dining experience to remember! 5 stars all around.
Came from UK to visit family in town. This place was a Winter Wonderland! Just Beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Staff was welcoming and the service was terrific. Best Authentic old world Italian we had ever experienced. Hope to be able to visit here again before our trip is over! The owner Biagio made our dining experience spectacular and had us feeling as if we were part of the family. Great place Great people.
The food at Biagio's is excellent. It is far better than the all too frequently found standard Italian cuisine found at many Connecticut restaurants and the prices, while not low, are very fair for the value provided. The service on the night we went, a busy Sunday, was very subpar. We did not mind in the end, as we were in no rush and enjoyed our conversations, but nothing worked very well as far as service went. It took forever to get our drinks, equally long to get our orders taken, and we were regularly ignored except for water pouring, so it took forever to get a dessert menu after eating, and almost as long to get our bill. If this is normal for the restaurant, many diners will not be happy. If this was a simply because our table was not being properly covered, then it may not happen again, but we did notice that another table had to get up to find the owner in order to simply get menus. Not good. But the food was really good.
This place is a real gem. Italian food that is both traditional and unique at the same time. Excellently prepared all of Biagio's dishes are fantastic and extremely tasty. I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in NYC, CT. and around the world and I have to say this is one of the best restaurants I've been to that provides both a great meal and enough that you leave happy.
