We were not at all pleased with our experience. We ordered two appetizers. One we could barely cut because we didn’t have a good knife. There was no server around to ask for another knife. Our main courses arrived minutes after our appetizers. We had barely begun eating them when a server arrived with the entrees. There was literally no place to put the main courses because our table was full with the two appetizers. The server stood looking cluelessly at the table. We had to tell him to take the main dishes away while we ate our appetizers. When we were ready for the main dishes, they came to the table luke warm because they had been sitting out while we ate our appetizers. We had to ask for them to be warmed up. Even then, they arrived barely warm. Our server had no common sense. He brought the main dishes while we were eating our appetizers and when there was not even room on the table for them. The kitchen didn’t know how to time the preparation of the main courses. When we finally got our main courses, they had been sitting around for 20 minutes. The restaurant is totally unprofessional.

We walked in and they couldn’t even find my name. The host was flipping through pages, clearly unsure where to look — at one point he even asked if I was “Michael.” I was saying one thing, he was saying something else. What should’ve taken less than a minute turned into this awkward, dragged-out moment. Just check the damn list. I had made a reservation for 8 people to surprise my friend for her birthday, and right from the start it felt like a disaster. The whole experience gave the impression that I had just randomly shown up without a booking. The staff? Absolutely clueless. It felt like they pulled people off the street with no training. They didn’t know what to do, were visibly rushing to be somewhere else, completely ignored body language, and looked like they couldn’t care less. No sense of service, no structure, just chaos. They didn’t know how to bring menus, didn’t know who to serve or where to serve from. At one point the server just handed a plate to someone at the table, and we had to pass it down ourselves like it was a backyard barbecue. Why? If you’re charging over $30 for a tiny kebab in the middle of Palo Alto, you cannot deliver McDonald’s-level service. The server taking our order kept checking his watch — literally in the middle of us speaking. He brought the food and then checked again. Was he late for a break? Waiting for a text? No idea. But it was beyond unprofessional and made everyone uncomfortable. The table was cluttered with dishes, and the server would just show up, empty-handed, waiting for us to give him things. I mean, do you want me to clock in and help? When it came time for dessert — which we only ordered because it was a birthday celebration — he brought menus and then vanished. Gone. We waited 30 minutes before I finally went inside to ask for the manager. “There’s no manager today,” they said. On a Sunday. The space itself was beautifully designed. You can tell the owner really put effort into the interior. But sadly, t

My husband and I went with another couple and our goal was to try a restaurant we hadn't tried before. We were all thrilled with our dinner! The cheese bread was an obvious choice, but the winners were the artichokes, the Georgian salad with walnut dressing, the grilled eggplant salad and the lamb dumplings. I can't wait to go again!

First visit to new location was disappointing. Service was slow and unimpressive. Serving utensils were missing for most shared plates. The egg cheese bread wasn’t prepped table side like they’ve done in the past and no knife was provided to cut it. The lamb dumplings had a terrible pungent smell that made enjoying the other dishes impossible. I’ve had the pork dumplings in the past, and they were much better.

Food was excellent. Service was not amazing for how much we paid. Took forever to get food. Sever told us the food didn't meet the "quality control test" so they had to remake it. Pretty sure he forgot to put the order in. Then we were asked to close out before we were done eating b/c the other server was going off shift. We weren't even offerred dessert. That's totally fine at a casual inexpensive place but when you're paying $43 per entree that's really not ok.

For starters, we ordered Pkhali, a flavorful combination of hand-chopped baby spinach and beets with walnuts and herbs, accompanied by eggplant rolls and grilled rosemary bread with olives. The textures and earthy flavors were distinct and well-balanced. The Khachapuri Adjaruli, a boat-shaped bread filled with cheese, butter, and a runny egg, was rich and indulgent—definitely a must-try for cheese lovers. The Khinkali, Georgian dumplings, were generously filled and juicy, though eating them properly took a little practice! For mains, we had the Double Lamb Kebab, which was well-seasoned and tender, and the Kalmakhi, a rainbow trout stuffed with spinach and walnuts. The fish was cooked beautifully, with the stuffing adding a unique depth of flavor. Overall, the food was undeniably well-prepared and authentic, though not entirely suited to our personal palette. That said, Bevri is a great spot for adventurous eaters looking to explore Georgian flavors—definitely worth a visit for those eager to try something different!
