Celebrity Chef Abigail Hitchcock presents her latest restaurant featuring an upscale diner experience. Betty is a minimalistic, cozy, welcoming environment with a focus on fostering community. We do our best to make sure everyone feels at home here. One of Abby's signature dishes is the Crispy Duck. A local favorite for breakfast is baked eggs. All menus; breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available at all hours. Happy Hour from 4-7. We're located near Seward park on the lower east side of manhattan. 193 Henry Street between Jefferson and Clinton. There are special events. In Abigail's Kitchen, we hold cooking classes and Dinners in the Dark (blindfolded dining!), and there is high end event dining in warm weather on the private roof deck. Open 10-10 Sun-Thurs. 10-12 Fri. and Sat. Open till 2 any night needed. Family friendly. Fully stocked bar.

    The food wasn’t that great but I had a pretty basic meal it just lacked flavor. The service I rated a 2 star because once I got the bill it took forever for the server to come back. We decided to pay cash left the bill on the table with the cash plus a tip and the server chased us down. When we said it’s in the table she literally looked over (it was noticeable) and said sorry. A bit embarrassing but we just let it go and left.

    Dedicated to a mom named Betty, this neighborhood gem gives east on the pocket vibes for good food and relaxed and friendly servers! As my sister said, it is a definite revisit!

    The staff was extremely nice, and the room is attractive. The food was tasty but the portions were small. And the room itself was very loud. I don't know when restaurants are going to get the message that many diners don't want to have to shout over our meals to be heard, but I hope it's soon. I know there's a perception that a loud restaurant "sounds" like a busy and successful one, but the noise factor alone is enough to deter us from returning.

    Lovely and welcoming place. while we were the oldest folks in the room, staff was very interactive while also being knowledgable and professional. Nice find with good food and drink.
