Potions have become 1/3 if what they used to be while prices rise. Waitress takes your drink order and isn’t back till dessert and checks. Food is still good but spent $120 to leave hungry after three tiny pasta dishes. Wtf?

Waitress set the tone for the dinner, a negative one. Very inflexible and no common sense. Clam pizza was burned and terrible. Lobster was meh. Dungeness crab spaghetti was good.
One of the best dining experiences in LA, every dish was fantastic, great vibe, loved the open kitchen, service on point, great dessert selection, 100% all around

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm so glad I did! I made reservations for my boyfriend's birthday with his parents. We tried a lot of dishes including the bone marrow, gem salad, cavatelli alla norcina, spaghetti rustichella, and margherita pizza. The bone marrow was amazing mixed in with the pasta it comes with. The gem salad was really refreshing. I preferred the cavatelli taste more than the spaghetti, especially with the shaved truffle, though both are great. The crab with spaghetti is a nice balance. We finished with the budino tarte and coffee and donuts. The budino is a little bitter while the coffee and donuts is sweeter and cinnamony, so depends on your taste which you would like more. Overall, would definitely go here again! The only drawback is it is a little pricey.
Amazing! I was wondering why everyone raves about this, but you just have to go. We did a bottle of their Barbera, the squid ink salad, musrhoom pasta, mussels, Sausage pizza, and veal tartare. it was incredible. go and savor every bite.
Excellent food!.... Service is top notch, management is without equal... Best place in town... Can't wait to get back to that place!!!!

WOW! To begin, we were attentively seated as requested, “dine in with a beautiful view”. My plus one and I had the option of sitting in front of the pizza making, the meat cutting or regular seating. We opted for by the pizza! I would like to begin by saying our server Jennifer was far more than attentive, she was super friendly and very knowledgeable on everything from the food to the cognac! I tried the cucumber speciality drink and my friend had the old fashioned. The drink I had included olive oil which I was not too crazy about - I wanted to have this drink without the oil but I was told it was already pre-made so it couldn’t be served without it. This is when I asked for Hennessy and Jennifer was able to bring me a different option of cognac. Long story shot I had 3 shots in total on this night. It was very delicious and I was happy there was an alternative. For the main dishes - my friend has the veal toast, pork belly and some green pasta. We shared a margherita pizza which was so delicious! Perfectly made. I had the crab pasta which I was not fond of. The onion seeds over power the dish with the black licorice taste that I did not like. My server noticed I did not eat the dish so she made sure to ask if there was anything wrong. I simply stated that I did not like the onion seeds. My friend simply LOVED everything she ordered especially the pork belly. I got a glimpse of the wagyu and this is the dish that I will be returning to Bestia to try! I can’t stress how amazing the service is, A+++.
It was a bit too loud in there. The service was exceptional. I loved 3 out of the 4 dishes, but pricing is a bit expensive. Due to the price, I can only eat here once in a while. I cannot wait to come back if the opportunity ever presents itself.

1st time coming here and WOW! legit have always wanted to try this place but reservations can go as far as 2 months. with timely planning was able to get a table for my gf n i anniversary.
my reservation was placed in January. so plan ahead! we arrive 30 mins before our reservation n was seated 15 mins early. able to order drinks before being seated!
Service was great! put in food allergies ahead of time in reservation and marked which foods we should be were really kept us up to date with the timing our the foods.
Honestly, ive been wanting to try this place because all the wonderful things ive hear about their food.
Marinated Olive - great start. great pairing with some beer.
Roasted Bone Marrow/Shot - this was what i was waiting to try. love the spinach gnocchetti. like how it had a bit of crunch to it. bone marrow was excellent. taking the shot after was delisious as well! great pairing.
Grilled Hamachi Collar - this was my favorite of our meal by far. the flavors in the sauce were so good. hamachi was cooked perfectly, literally ate it to the bone
32oz Porcini Rubbed Wagyu Ribeye - the arugula & turnips were great to pair with the ribeye. great flavors.
Coffee & Donuts - love this. haha! you can't go went with desserts. the coffee ice cream was amazing!!! had to scoop it into the donut for the full flavor experience!

Bestia has long been my favorite restaurant in LA. However, we had one person in our party of three cancel last minute due to an illness (at a time like this when half the city is freaking out about coronavirus, I would hope we would be encouraging people to not go to crowded restaurants while sick, but what do I know). Due to "restaurant policy", the hostess forced us to give up our reserved table (because it was meant to sit three diners) and instead sit at a high top in the bar (made for two diners), directly next to the bathroom. To make things worse, all but one bathroom in the entire restaurant was out of order so we literally had a long line of people desperate to go to the bathroom standing over us during our entire meal.
This is the kind of service that might fly at a mid-range restaurant, but not something I would expect from a place like Bestia. The food was good, but frankly not worth the terrible service (and honestly, the greedy policy).
The food and drinks speak for themselves. Everything we had was absolutely fantastic. However, what really made the night was the service we received from Erica. She gave us the true experience from start to finish. Lots of places in LA have great food. Bestia has great food, but it's the service and the way my wife and I were treated that will get us to come back.
We were seated 50 minutes past our reservation. That being said they did provide complimentary salumi. Otherwise my brother was visiting LA and this was his first time at the restaurant so it would have been nice to sit inside instead of the corner of the porch but it happens.
Bestia is always the best experience. The food is amazing. One thing we always notice most is that, even when it's pasta, we don't feel heavy after our meal.
So excited to visit and wasn’t disappointed. Awesome food, just wish we had room to fit in more!!!
Finally managed to get a reservation at this popular spot. We were surprised how busy it was when we arrived at 9:30PM and there was still people arriving at 11pm when we left!
Unfortunately this is one of those over hyped popular restaurants. The food was good but nothing was amazing.
Having eaten the night before at another popular Italian restaurant, we both agreed that it was a better meal and experience.

Celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. With an 8 year old we don’t get out much so we wanted to go big for this special occasion. And Bestia did not disappoint.

What can I say about Bestia that hasn't already been said? Everything you've heard or read about this restaurant IS TRUE. The hype is real and well deserved.. do yourself a favor and get the cavatelli, bone marrow pasta and the branzino!

Way overrated. We ordered 3 appetizers, two pastas, a pizza, and a pork dish. Four of the dishes were considerably over salted. Both pasta dishes were overcooked. I will say that the pork was cooked perfectly, but all I tasted was salt. Considering I had to make this reservation two months in advance, I was expecting a much better meal than we got. I know I’m probably in the minority, but I wouldn’t recommend Bestia. There’s much better Italian food about three blocks north...

I've been wanting to try Bestia forever, so for my bday I decided to hit it up with two friends that have been before. I originally booked for 2 people, but needed to bump it up to 3ppl. I called and they were able to accommodate - great! We arrived around 8pm, 15mins before our 8:15pm res. When we were greeted we were told the table inside was finishing up and we could wait outside. We sat outside on the patio among a bunch of empty tables. After about 10mins or so, the hostess came and sat us outside. We asked what happened to the table inside and there was confusion and somehow now we had to sit outside b/c a 8pm reservation didn't arrive. Now normally I'm okay with that - but the music and atmosphere were all inside and outside was a bit dank. We had a few back and forths and were moved inside - but the whole seating thing was annoying - they made it very much seem like it was our fault we had to sit outside b/c we changed our reservation.
The food was just okay, we got two pizza's, two apps, and the crab pasta - which really didn't taste good. So overall it was just okay. I might try it again and see what happens b/c the music and setting is really good.
Definitely enjoyed our dining experience! Four plates will do the job for two people + two cocktails each. We had the bone marrow (antipasti), veal tartare (antipasti), cavatelli (paste), and rigatoni (paste). All delicious!
This place is highly recommended on all the socials and it’s hard to find a spot , really I can’t understand why. Food is average, not Italian for sure. Additionally you cannot change for any amendments at all, not sure how you can do it with an allergy as everything is pre-made. It was good to try once, but won’t go back.
Bestia? More like worstia! Horrible, cheap furniture surrounded by plastic to cover the balcony. So much for fancy ambiance. And what kind of Italian restaurant doesn't serve bread? You just sit there starving in your ugly cheap chair til your food slowly arrives. The pizza tasted like $1 pizza you get at the corner of any NYC street. Calling it pizzE doesn't make it taste better. It made me sick. The pastas taste good but the quantity is a joke for the price. Like most places in LA this spot is all hype and no substance/service. When you look at the menu before going you're like oh $20-30/person doesn't seem bad. Then you get there and they tell you that you should order about 2 dishes per person. But even then it's a joke. If you're willing to shell out about $50/person and still go home hungry, then go knock yourself out. There's a 24hr popoyes near by to save you after. The only upside was the friendly busboys. Although they kept trying to fill us up with water and they were certainly in on that joke. Oh and of course they charge you for regular water lmao. Do yourself a favor and go eat at Leela Thai Silver Lake or Chell Sotoon Grill. Way better ambience and twice the food for half the price. (Including pic of spoon to pasta ratio.) Oh and whoever owns this place is a scam artist who thinks that waiters and busboys don't deserve a living wage out of their pocket so they feel they can just tack on an extra 4% to every customer's bill. Wtf. You're the business owner. You're already overcharging customers to run this wannabe NYC restaurant. Do better !
The food was delicious. The music is too loud - felt like club music. Would like a variety of music that can appeal to a more general group of people, but still contemporary.
