was really excited to try out Bestia as the reviews are generally fantastic - was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, everything we wanted to try was already unavailable / sold out, like the bone marrow, the crab pasta and a few others.
i'm sure the food would have been delicious - what we tried was pretty good but definitely not exceptional.
service was amazing and i loved the music.
the chocolate dessert was unbelievable!!
would suggest booking an early table to make sure you get the option to eat everything on the menu!
Awesome from start to finish. One of my top restaurant experiences. Strongly suggest bestia!
The food was absolutely amazing. The service was so great. This was our 4th time at Bestia and we have never left disappointed. Can’t wait to go back.
Celebrated my graduation dinner here. The food was AMAZING!!! The staff were very friendly and I loved the atmosphere:)
We love the food here!
Food was every bit as good pre-COVID. Still worth a special trip to LA as we exit the Pandemic. Service and layout followed all protocols, ensuring a safe environment. Pasta and branzino were ethereal. Exceptional cocktails.
The food was ok but definitely worth the $210 I paid. Ordered an appetizer (bone marrow) which was the best tasting, a pizza which was mediocre at best, pretty soggy & I ordered 3 pastas including the crab chitarra which wasn’t too bad. I will say that their drinks did impress. Ordered 2 alcoholic drinks and it all amounted to $210 which I don’t mind paying as long as the food is pretty damn good. I’ve had better while in the wall italian food. I’m not usually one to complain but I’m also not one to return if the food isn’t what it was made to be. In all honesty, seems like an average joint that is trendy and that is why people say it’s so amazing. It’s definitely a one and done for me.
Covid sucks, Bestia is wonderful, but eating in a parking lot is not great. Service—WONDERFUL! Food—AS ADVERTISED! Ambiance—temporarily not ideal, but not forever!
Servers were super pushy to get us out ASAP but food was delicious and perfectly prepared
Not your cheapest meal, but the quality is worth every buck
Food was delicious!
The place was buzzing, our server was excellent. Ha made the experience better. Some of the food are just ok. I always expect my crostini to be crispy and ours was soggy. I couldn’t taste the lobster on the dish. Same apply to their squid ink pasta. I love their mussels, enough to get me back there. The marrows were too little to be spread on the pasta for flavor. Their pizzas are better than other Italian resto that I’ve been to except for mozza. The ribeye was way overpriced but delicious. Their desserts were too limited for my liking but taste superb. Overall, it’s a good way to celebrate my birthday but was it truly worth the long wait for a reservation, it think it was way too hype for that long wait. Otherwise, I’ll see what they have to offer for summer and might head back there.
Had a good time, dishes were great but the food didn't stand out to me as much. Bavel is far superior.
EXTREMELY mediocre food, discriminatory server, horrible music and screaming children. really really disgusting and ANTI-ASIAN service from jonathan who treated us as if we didnt belong. he wanted us out ASAP
i have no idea what everyone is talking about. they have so many yelp reviews and the most filtered reviews i have ever seen, which means that they filter out bad reviews and pay for good reviews. appalling and classless
WORST-ia experience all around. people really need to know. got one canned email from theodore who is no longer responding. obviously they don’t care. will be telling everyone i can NOT to patronize discriminatory ANTI-ASIAN businesses
Great food. Very cool vibe. Music was a bit loud. Overall setting was amazing and very hip. Everything was just delicious and server was friendly. Great experience.
Uggghhhhhhh. The pasta. I am a fast eater and I had to force myself to slow down at Bestia and enjoy each bite because it is just. That. Good. I was told they were a “must try” while visiting the east side of LA and they did not disappoint.
We had a wonderful family dinner at Bestia for Easter!
phenomenal & helpful staff, delicious food, the best playlist! definitely coming back!
Everything is perfect
In short, one of the best evenings dining out I've had.
First time in over a year, as usual, the meal exceeded expectations. Loved our server, forgot her name but referred to herself as a punky brewester.
We loved every single dish, it was perfect. We will be back!
It was the meal we’ve been waiting for all year! Everything we had was great and the 2 standouts were the Bronzino & the Chocolate Tart. The chocolate tart was hands down the beat dessert I’ve had in 2 years!
I know it’s due to the pandemic but outdoor tent area could be made more cozy and appealing. I wish we could have been seated outdoors but not in the tented area.
My favorite restaurant in all of LA, no hyperbole. Food is spectacular. Service is great, didn’t rush the courses. No complaints.
Bestia never disappoints on the experience -- Pricey, but worth the money as one of the best restaurants in LA (thank you US government for the stimulus).
Nduja Mussels and Bone Marrow are must-haves in terms of starters - They had a wonderful Turnip and Kohlrabi dish that was served with a mushroom creme...what a surprising dish. Takes artistry to coax such complex flavors out of humble root vegetables, demonstrating that Bestia knows their stuff.
Will be back again, as long as they're around.
We have been coming back to Bestia every time we are in LA about once a month the good is always amazing and the staff is first class it is one of our favorite restaurant and we will be back soon we highly recommend Bestia.
Hadar & Bridget
Pork chop arrived pre cut probably due to covid safety measures, but the cuts were very thin bite sized pieces... it looked unappetizing (like leftovers) and I would have preferred nice thick juicy slices, but was not given an option. I also could not pick how I wanted it cooked and most of it was medium rare/rare, which I did not eat since I don't eat rare pork. Disappointing at this price point but I'll be back at a later time
Best meal I’ve had in LA! I moved here 3 months ago from NYC and this is the first place I feel has been on par with restaurants there. The sweetest staff, super cool design, delicious food and amazing music. I loved it!!!
The food is outstanding. I would like to have a little more time between the courses.
Had a wonderful dinner with friends. We felt safe with the Covid precautions and regulations. The food was delicious, as always.
Excellent as always. It was good to be back. The scallops were delicious, so delicious we did another order. Very fresh taste along with the Lobster crostini. We enjoyed the classic bone marrow with pasta and a pizza. Main dish we had the light branzino with the tomatillo sauce. For dessert we finished the meal with the chocolate tart.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 all around
food is of course amazing. adding to the experience is the knowledgable servers: let them recommend "what's good". only negative is the crowds and noise. but that's the price of success
This restaurant was definitely a highlight of my trip to LA. I was initially annoyed upon our arrival. There were people waiting for their tables outside and we didn’t know our table was ready. I told one of the staff members that we had a reservation and he told us we had to wait outside, but we found out later our table was ready the entire time after waiting for 15-20 minutes. It just would have been nice for the staff being more clear on how to check-in for our reservation when we spent over $300 that night. The manager definitely made up for it with some complimentary wine and an appetizer when I explained my displeasure with the hostess. We were waited on by Gwen, who took great care of us and was super sweet. The scallops were very delicious. We also ordered the nduja pizza, ravioli, and confit and grilled duck legs, and the coffee and donuts. Every dish was amazing and worthwhile. I will definitely return next time I’m in LA.
Service is rushed so it makes you not want to go back even though the foods good
Since the food arrives in courses, I would recommend the restaurant pad more time per table than 90 minutes. We were a party of 2 and were seated at our table for approximately 2 hours. We arrived early, so I don't think it impacted the next table reservation time; however, I think it would really benefit the flow of guests and people waiting to use a 2 hour instead of 90 minute window for dining.
It was a nice first night out but still with the masks and all, different.
