Best Quality Daughter houses a vibrant, chic décor and new, unique Asian-American menu. In 2018, chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, wanting to address the sparsity of Asian-American female chefs in South Texas, developed a new concept through a series of pop-up dinners called Best Quality Daughter with fellow chef Anne Ng and artist Jennifer Ling Datchuk. Today Best Quality Daughter is located in the historic Mueller House at the Pearl Brewery. Curated by chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, Best Quality Daughter's menu takes inspiration from her travels and the comfort food of her youth as a second-generation Chinese-American.

We had the cashew chicken, coconut curry shrimp fried rice, green beans, and smashed cucumbers--everything was amazing!

We had a very good experience dining for the first time at Best Quality Daughter! The ambiance and service were great. I started with the "Are you there God? It's me, Margarita" and my date had the Derel Rum Mojito. For appetizers, we got the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Mochi Cheddar Hushpuppies. For our entrees, we got the Creamy Coconut Tom Yum Noodles and Curry Shrimp Fried Rice. Our waitress, Alex, was awesome and checked on us frequently. I will be coming back to chill and dine at this establishment again soon.

Met a friend there for dinner on a Monday night. Service was incredible, and we order some of the smaller plates and shareables. It was all fantastic. I also very much appreciate a cocktail/drinks list that includes some Zero Proof options and Mocktails! The inside of the restaurant is adorable, and the perfect ambience to meet up with friends. This was my second visit, and both times have been worth the trip!

We had a reservation at 9:30 and I didn’t realize that they close at 10 so you were there for a brief time. I felt kind of rush. The food was good in service was great.

Well organized staff with amazing recommendation’s. Fusion food was top notch! Would recommend for an elevated dining experience. Very good!
