Best Quality Daughter houses a vibrant, chic décor and new, unique Asian-American menu. In 2018, chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, wanting to address the sparsity of Asian-American female chefs in South Texas, developed a new concept through a series of pop-up dinners called Best Quality Daughter with fellow chef Anne Ng and artist Jennifer Ling Datchuk. Today Best Quality Daughter is located in the historic Mueller House at the Pearl Brewery. Curated by chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, Best Quality Daughter's menu takes inspiration from her travels and the comfort food of her youth as a second-generation Chinese-American.

Beautiful restaurant and food was delicious. Our server was very helpful and attentive and the entire experience was wonderful.

Bar service was pretty bad. Bar tenders (even when not busy) were less than helpful. Three time we asked them for a list of bourbons, and the same bartender kept pointing to the bottom shelf that was stacked three deep and you couldn’t see past the front bottles. For the record there was no one else standing at the bar and only the other bartender was mixing. The one was pretty useless and unhelpful. The restaurant could do much better.

Good & service continue to be the best in any restaurant in the Pearl. It is not a place to have an enjoyable conversation during peak lunch or dinner times - noise level is high.

This restaurant is a 10 out of 10. Amazing decor, service, and the FOOD and COCKTAILS ughhhhhhhh they are out of this world! Highly recommend the cocktail On the Nose - never had anything like it and it’s truly heavenly. Definitely get the Pork Ssam if you want to feast! The Drunken Noodle Red Curry Mole made my eyes cross from ecstatic happiness, as did the Curry Guisada Dan Dan. The brussels sprouts and green beans redefine what these vegetables can be, the mochi cheddar hush puppies are unusual and crazy delicious, as are the Korean corn cheese spring rolls. I need to go back so I can try everything else on this menu. Truly a star of the San Antonio restaurant scene.

The food was amazing, cashew chicken is to die for! And the Korean cheese corn spring rolls were a burst of unique flavors. Anyone who dines here has to get one or two of the ice cream sandwiches, especially, the strawberry flavored one to end the meal. Definitely coming back again sometime.

Brussels sprouts were phenomenal! All 4 entrees were waaaaay too salty. It’s a shame to spend that kind of money on food that would have been exceptional if it weren’t for the box of salt in each dish. None of us finished our plates.

First timers here. It was late but service and food were excellent. Shrimp curry fried rice was a huge hit with kids. I really enjoyed the salt pepper shrimp. Good value. Beautiful old physical space. We were in San Antonio for family vacay for four days and this was by far our favorite meal.

The restaurant was super accommodating to my request for more seats and our waitress was great with our table. Eating here for the second year on my birthday has been a great tradition so far :)
