Tapas originated in Andalucia, a Southern province of Spain, and are considered a fundamental way of life. These tasty small dishes are traditional Spanish dishes found in every bar, cafe, restaurant, and home. A tapa is an appetizer or snack in Spanish cuisine that can be combined to make a full meal and can be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or hot (such as gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic) or patatas bravas). We wanted to bring this culinary experience to the heart of East Greenwich creating a shareable experience, transporting our guests to Southern Spain with a variety of diverse flavors and wine pairings that will entice their tastebuds.

Food was good but not spectacular or memorable. Mocktails were very acidic and not good. Did not taste fresh or natural. Did not notice ginger beer or fresh lime in mine. Tasted like bottled lime and seltzer water. Prices were high considering what you get. Mostly seems to have become a watering hole meet up. Setting is very pretty and they have parking and a great spot.

We have eaten here before and it’s never really consistent. Some days it’s great and other times it’s a mess. This night we waited an hour for our meal, and almost that long for our appetizer. We were starving- no bread. Nothing. The guy next to us ordered the same thing my boyfriend did- when the waiter noticed how small his piece of chicken was atop the mass of rice, he apologized and stated they would cover his beer. No such offer was made to my date despite the chicken looking exactly the same AND having waited so long for it. The servers did keep apologizing and giving us updates but at that point, we were so annoyed that we got held up that long.

We have always in the past enjoyed every aspect of Besos. Found the food to be underwhelming, for the second time in a row. Not much flavor, though the presentation was very nice. Our server, Anastasia, was wonderful. So personable and helpful. We will revisit in the warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful outdoor space.

Online the menu here is different from what it was in real life. We ordered 4 tapas to split along with 2 glasses of wine. Very nice food and dining experience.

So impressed! Our server, Anastasia, was delightful. The drinks were wonderful. My gambas were a little too spicy for my palette, but next time I order them, I’ll request less spice. Then they will be perfect.
