It's dark and you have to strain your eyes to read the menu over candle light. Terrible service, had to ask for a steak knife which I never got. We had to ask for our wine that we ordered. We had to ask for the dessert menu. The staff were rude. Only positive was the food was good so it's a shame everything else let it down.

Not kid friendly, waitress was not friendly,Manager was drinking at the bar, bartender texting, doorman eating. Only the busboys were doing a great job, and a a server named David that showed up later at my table after my original waitress left without even mentioning it .

Beso was okay not a restaurant I would recommend or brag about to anyone. The guacamole had no flavor even after having our waitress take it back to add salt. The salmon was okay but it did not come with any sides which was unsatisfying. I don't mind paying money for good food but at least give me my money worth. I wouldnt go back ever.

Food was average. Some plates have no flavor at all. Service was the worst thing about all. We ordered our first drink and when we were about to pay our bill the waiter comes to our table and ask if we want another drink. HORRIBLE service.

Great wait staff! Pork Shoulder was mediocre this tme. Lamb chops are always superb !!! Treated by management to the churros which were fabulous! The place is a go back! !!

I had such high hopes for this place, but they were all dashed away even before I entered. The valet parkers were cussing up a storm. Then I walked into what seemed like a cave with tacky chandeliers. This restaurant is HUGE and very empty, so I'm hoping it was an off night. The place was so dark, people were using flashlight apps on their phones to see the menu, thus killing the dark mood ambience. The menu is very random--is it a Mexican restaurant, California fusion, Italian? Who knows? The food was pretty good, except the salad had grapefruit with mushy tomatoes, and that's a ghastly combination. Avocados would have been much better. The giant shrimp linguine was good, and even better as leftovers. The Veracruz corn was tasty as was the truffle mac & cheese. Finally, the churros were divine. I'd actually go back to Beso for the churros, but parking is so super expensive, I'll just get a giant $1 churro at Costco. There were so many servers and busboys standing around, but it took an eternity to get refills on water--more cussing by the way. Oh, did I mention the mysterious $10 Malbec added to the bill when all I had was water? And the server forgot to subtract the $60 Living Social (the only way I could afford such an expensive restaurant). So, no, I would not return to Beso, nor recommend it.

Brought one of my BFF's for a birthday celebration and what a great time as this was my second visit but her first and she was very impressed. It was so nice dining mid-week, very mellow yet lots of fun and the food was amazing, I had lamb chops and the birthday girl had the banging shrimp dish. A great evening and can't wait to return !!!
