I wanted to start out by saying how great the valet service guy was. I didn't get a chance to catch his name but he was a great start for the evening with his welcoming attitude. Our waiter was Mark and if you go I recommend you request one of his tables personally. He was very professional and down to earth individual. His knowledge of wines was on point and didn't skip a beat. The food was outstanding!!!! I recommend the ceviche to start . My wife had the scallops and they were so fresh and I am challenging you to find better. The Mac and Cheese is the best side to have I guarantee it. Lastly, the wife and I enjoyed the view overseeing the whole city!!!! Thanks MR . As for the awesome night!

This was our 2nd time eating here. For a high end restaurant that charges the high prices they do, the food was only ok, and the service was not great.

The view and ambiance are excellent!

But the food is not on par with the prices at all. You will be disappointed in the cuisine.

Also the server we had did not seem very interested in his job. No smile or inviting conversation. Just there to take our orders and that was it.

Mothers Day, place was packed, but the staff did an excellent job attending to everyone in a very timely manner, and the chef did an excellent job on virtually everything we ordered. Everything was good to excellent. Strongly recommend

Enjoyed my dinner here. A date for 2 will run you at least 250 with drinks. I suggest the steak, grilled octopus and lamb.

Loved this place beyond words. I came here for my birthday this past weekend and all my expectations were exceeded. I highly recommend trying the angus beef filet, it melts in your mouth. Will definitely be coming back for another special occasion!

Afternoon lunch, so may not be the same for dinner, not very busy. Spectacular view and food to match. Very professional service. Overall, pretty good value, for lunch. Excellent appetizers and entrees were available, however. Excellent experience.

Great service, The best service I have had in a restaurant in a long time. The staff when out of their way to make sure your dinning experience was the best. They took care of your dinning needs without hovering around the table.
Amazing view of San Diego
The food presentation was very well done and the food was very well prepared with great flavor. Would love to have seen a slightly large menu.

The area of concern was the server.
1 error in wine order and one cocktail missing on reorder of drinks
2 my guest ordered an item, which he thought was an entree on the special menu on the left side of the menu. Nothing was said by the server at the time of ordering food that his choice was an appetizer item, not an entree. When the food was served, the server had made the decision to substitute an osso bucco for veal medallions. I called for the manager to let him know that service was complicated, interfering with our normal experience of Bertrand at Mr. A’s.

It was Easter, the weather was beautiful and we were seated by the windows so we could really enjoy the amazing view. As always the food was perfect, I had the Lamb chop with Osso bucco and my husband had Parmesan crusted Seabsss served on English pea risotto, both were wonderful, we’ve never been disappointed!

Very lovely meal, ambiance & service. This restaurant is really sensitive to allergy needs as well, even served gluten free bread which was tastier than the regular bread. The duck was cooked to perfection, sea bass was full of flavor. Definitely a special occasion spot for us :)

The perfect location with a great view to make the atmosphere complete with San Diego’s scenic view. The waiters were consistently asking how we were doing and made sure anything when needed was swiftly dealt with. A location I will definitely come to again when I am in the area.

I was searching for an elevated brunch experience with a view. This came recommended via OpenTable. The reviews seemed to sell this place for its view and cuisine. Some service concerns but overall a good rating. Upon entering, a hostess greeted us and asked us “if I can put you on a momentary hold” as if she was used to saying that on the phone instead of looking at us and saying “I’ll be right with you” it was weird. She went to grab a manager and he came back and said “we’ll be happy to seat you however for next time, a collared shirt for men and closed toed shoes is appreciated.” We certainly would’ve dressed more appropriately if we would’ve seen that noted in Open Table under attire. But we didn’t. We were seated next to a window. The view is lovely. We ordered drinks (sangria and Bloody Mary, Italian style) the waitress was lovely and attentive. We ordered eggs benedict and the lemon ricotta pancakes. The lemon pancakes were delicious. The eggs benedict were over cooked. We alerted the waitress and she quickly sent them back and apologized. The second try was perfect and we enjoyed our meal. They brought us a nice dessert since we were celebrating our anniversary. The check didn’t show any discount for the inconvenience of having to send a meal back and me basically eating alone. The service was nice, views are spectacular and food is delicious.
