   Sat at the table for 20 minutes before being asked for drink order and didn't get any bread until 30 minutes of sitting at the table not being helped. Terrible service, ok food, wouldn't recommend.

   We went for Valentines day. When they seated us they put us in 2 top right next to another couple rather than in a more private setting even though they they lots of other tables open .

   I mean outside of the food taking an hour and 30 minutes and being wrong while also not offering much to make up for it it was a just ok experience. The best part was our server who was the bar tender and overwhelmed understandably. Pretty much the worst restaurant experience we have had living in Madison.

   We were not seated for our 7:30 reservation on New Years Eve until after 8. It was difficult to find someone at the host station to see what was going on. It took too long for the order to be taken and delivered—almost 9 pm. A basket of bread was spilled on me. Our server was quite apologetic about the delays and the spill. The food was very good. Perhaps they need more staff. A good amount was taken off our bill without us asking.

   New Year's Eve. Understaffed, but that's the name of the game now days, especially on a holiday. Reservations at 7:15 pm, finally flagged a server at 8 pm for water and went to bar to get our own drinks.

   My wife and I took our family to this restaurant to have what we expected to be a very nice meal and it turned out to be quite possibly the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. There were 8 people in our party, two of which were our 6 and 8 year old grand daughters. After we were seated our server came by to begin taking our orders. None of us caught her name and it appeared she had a problem understanding English. My daughter ordered lemonade for our 2 grand daughters and the adults ordered wine or a cocktail to enjoy with our dinners. After a short time she brought the drinks we ordered to the table and then left. When our server returned and began taking our orders that's when the problems began. With the exception of the orders for our grand daughters the rest of us ordered meals that included either a salad or soup with one side order. As she moved from person to person she neglected to ask my wife, 2 of my daughters, and my son-in-law what side order they wanted. As each person gave her their order it appeared she was confused in what they wanted so we had to tell her twice to make sure she understood. She then left and we waited for what seemed to be a rather long time before the meals were delivered to the table. The problem here was the food was delivered to our grand daughters one item at a time instead of bringing their entire meals together. The little ones completed their meals without the rest of us being served. Once our meals came out they were also delivered one item at a time instead of everyone receiving their entire meal. Once the food was finally delivered and we began eating we discovered the meals weren't good. My wife and I ordered Walleye and it was dry, tough, and it was very apparent the fish was not fresh. After the meals were delivered our server disappeared and never returned to see if we wanted to order another drink. When she finally did reappear I asked for the check so we could leave this establishment.

   We just stopped in for lunch. It was quiet. Service was very good. The food (primarily Italian) was fine. We did not sample any wines. It was a pleasant lunch at a nice spot. It might not be perfect for a night out, but if you just want tasty Italian food in a nice atmosphere, this place is very good.

   Friday we had our first date at Benvenutos and it was [perfect! We enjoyed the food, wine and ambiance. It could not have been more perfect. Thank you.

    The last three times we were there, Sandy was our server. She is awesome! Always love to visit this place. Usually, we go there on date nights. This time it was for a family night. Always the best experience all around!
