Lovely history in this homage to southern Appalachian cuisine.
Benne is one of our favorite places in town. The food always wows us and the service is impeccable. Highly recommend cocktails on their patio on beautiful evenings.
Great food.. Excellent service. Our table was ready when we arrived. The food is innovative and interesting .
Excellent venue; Menu was excellent, food qulality very good; Service attentive and respectful; A most enjoyable experience. It was a wonderful experience in all aspects of dining. Highly recommend this restaurant
Catie was very nice. Cauliflower dish was yummy. Hummingbird cake was just so-so.
Food was flavorless
It was great as always!
It was absolutely wonderful. My chop was tender and super juicy. The salad I had was fresh and delicious. Mac and cheese had a little kick to it. I wasn’t all that jazzed about the broccolini that came with my chop...prob needed to be a smaller portion....but it didn’t keep me from enjoying my dinner overall. I’d come back!!!
Great food and service ! One of our favorites as locals
great, fresh local sourcing ingredients. service was attentive. one of the best restaurants in Asheville.
The Nduja Gnocchi was one of the best dishes i have ever had! Our server was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain details of the menu. Highly recommended.
Wonderful atmosphere - spacious yet comfy, good rhythmic music but not too loud. We loved seeing the cooks cooking! The food was original, fresh and flavorful (seared trout was fabulous)! Delicious drinks!!!
Great food that is very unique, excellent wines, and terrific service.
Outdoor area unattractive- cold night and we were not told in advance the heater was not working nor offered indoor table instead. Waiter unbelievably inattentive- got several orders wrong and never brought some items but charged us anyway even after we told him we had not yet received and to just forget as we were moving to next course. Several dishes poorly seasoned. With so many terrific options in Asheville I would not recommend this place nor would I return.
We went out for date night while on vacation and Benne on Eagle did not disappoint. Cool vibe, great cocktails and beer list. We had the curried wings with coconut cilantro sauce for an appetizer. Then I had the gnocchi and my boyfriend had the curried pork. All absolutely incredible - would recommend to anyone in the area! Plus, it’s awesome that they have a strong commitment to empowering the local neighborhood!
Outstanding! The food was inventive and so delicious. Everything was made with care and love. The service was fun, friendly and professional. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Short ribs were delicious. Service was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit!
Their food was outrageous, this will definitely be out good to brunch spot.
Triple Celebration weekend: We are on our honeymoon and it is my sister in law and her friends birthday time!
We had a great experience! Not only were the food and cocktails beyond amazing, our server/bartender was so kind and helpful!
This was my first Covid-era outing, and got to spend it with people I love. Server was courteous and gave us plenty of time to linger over drinks and take our time ordering. The food was really good, imaginative and well-prepared. We ate on the covered porch and were totally comfortable despite the cool night. We felt very safe with the physical distancing and conscientious mask-wearing by staff and other customers. We all felt very good about this meal and will return!
First time out in a restaurant in over a year. Picked a great place!
Food was amazing, especially the chicken wings. Sat outside which was very peaceful. Definitely a must visit when in Asheville.
Social distancing and mask wearing policy is the rule here. Restaurant has a very cool vibe. Lots of wood, brass, blackened steel and marble. Spotless Restrooms with their own branded hazlewood hand wash soap and scented candle. Brandon is amazing as a server, bartender and memory maker. Service, presentation and cuisine are all five star. The Beet Salad is a must as well as the Pan Seared Trout. Devine.
We have a lovely brunch. Everything was wonderful. My pork and grits was delicious. My husband’s poached eggs in his eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked. Service was excellent.
We’ve been here a few times and it was good but this morning the restaurant seemed disorganized and the food was ok not great. We’ll try it again next visit and hope it was just a bad day
Great meal, wonderful service.
Great food. Menu changes often. Good wine selection. Creative cocktails. Nice wait staff.
Great service and delicious food. Unique combinations of farm fresh ingredients. Loved the evening!
Everything was outstanding. From the service -- I think our server was named Brandon -- to the presentation and deliciousness of the food -- I had the beet salad -- to the COVID protections -- we sat outside and I felt very safe -- it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. We haven't been eating out because of the pandemic, but we were in Asheville to do some hiking and this restaurant had been recommended by a friend in Richmond, Va. So glad we tried it. I am happy to enthusiastically recommend Benne on Eagle as an excellent place for a memorable dinner.
Brandon was the man. On top of his stuff. Food was great.
Excellent service and nice to have outdoor seating options
Food was great and staff was awesome from the time we arrived to the time we left.
Will be back! Delicious date night out!
Dinner was fabulous, we really enjoyed the pork chop. The open air kitchen was neat to be able to watch the team prepare the dishes. We were very pleased with how they followed Covid safety regulation. Atmosphere was quaint, romantic, and modern.
Food was good menu seemed to be limited and although the service was good it wasn’t up to par with the other restaurants we’ve been to in Asheville.
Breakfast is good. However the coffee was weak and could have been better. We had omelets the first day here and they were exceptional. One of the rare chefs that can make a fluffy flavorful omelet without over or under cooking it.
Although breakfast was good the one night we ate dinner here it was terrible. Don't come here for dinner. The menu and the chef are new and do not represent the previous reviews. Honestly I was served the worst greens I've ever had in my life and I only took one bite and it took all the best manners ever taught me not to spit it out. It was full of stems, dirt and grit. JUST AWFULL. My husband also did not like his kimchi which was served with Trout. Terrible pairing of overly strong vinegar flavor and delicate fish. The bread was dry, stale and served with Duck fat that reminded me of the fat you skim off and throw away from your Turkey broth at Thanksgiving.
Great experience! Awesome food
Dinner Menu seem very limited. Service was very good.
I visited before for brunch and the food was so much better than dinner.
I’ll definitely give it another try
Very disappointing all around. Server was inexperienced, food was bland and overcooked.
Having been there in the past and had wonderful meals, this was a real let down. new chef? Pandemic issues?
Gumbo was delicious! Eating outside during COVID was very warm and nicely spaced.
