Nice location at the winery and bookstore. Oh yes they serve food too. Nice light lunch of a Margherita pizza and cider.
We thought the food was very good. Just like to see maybe a fish and chips or one dish a little plainer as I have children and friends who have stomach disease who can only eat plain food. Would the chef make just plain cheese and ham pizza? This would help.
Love bedooley, so many good memories. Staff not as
Good as Normal
Food was really tasty and the presentation was elegant. Would highly recommend if you in the area for lunch. Make sure to request a table inside the restaurant if the temperature is above 35.
A great setting with good food and service , we attended a on a 35+degree day and we had no choice other than outside and it was unpleasant due to heat, upon arrival we asked if anything was available. inside as were told no despite some of those tabled remaining vacant while we ere there we ate and left .
The day was stinking hot, so going indoors was the best idea. Our table was in the thoroughfare, & a tinsy bit annoying being bumped but food, wine & delightful service made up for this ten-fold. We had chacuterie board, threw in a cheese dish & a devine rockmelon goats cheese salad. Presentation was stunning. Books, food and wine - a happy afternoon.
We went there on a busy Saturday noon for lunch and the service was excellent. The sommelier was accommodating and the food particularly the wagyu beef is amazing.
Had an amazing Bendooley birthday lunch with delicious food and wine. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was beautiful. Such a memorable and special experience.
Very good location. Outside area was very relaxed. Food was great and service was pretty good! Only knock I would have is our entree was only on the table five minutes before main came out, but I’d be stretching to complain about anything. Great place!
Wonderful lunch venue, great food and ambience. Good for kids
The food was lovely and service was excellent. We have been there before and will go again.
Gorgeous grounds, beautiful bookstore, friendly staff, amazing food and wine. Delicious coffee and cake. Busy so make sure you book so as not to miss out.Bring a few coins to buy fresh fruit and veg from the caretakers kids on the lawn :)
Hi. This is my second visit to Bendooley and it did not disappoint. Will definitely be back.
The meat platter was fantastic, linguine beautiful, loved the tahini yoghurt with the salmon. Loved the choice of wine by the glass.
Great options for gluten free and vegan options. Delicious food. Lovely service 🌹
We had the Kingfish entree to share and for mains the eye fillet and salmon. All dishes were beautifully prepared and the flavours were delicious. At times it was hard to get wait staff's attention.
A fun environment, quite unique having the restaurant situated in an attractive bookshop.
The service was casual and friendly.
Quality food and wine in a great location with a lovely atmosphere
Great food and great ambiance! Good collection of old books and paintings.
Nice, Nice, Nice, Nice, Nice, Nice,..................
We were running a little late for our 2:15 booking. Phoned ahead to be told that kitchen would stop taking orders at 2:30 - not to worry, can order over the phone and our guests could order ahead of the deadline. Arrived after the supposed deadline to discover that a dish chosen X2 unavailable so order not yet in. Everything was lovely when we did order around 15 minutes after the supposed close off time for orders - and we were still offered dessert menu when we had eaten mains. No complaints, except that the pressure to order over the phone was weird given how busy everything was when we did arrive
Best winery in Australia! Amazing quality food, wine and venue. Love love love.
Well worth visiting for a meal or a day out
Great ambience in the middle of the Southern Highlands. A perfect place to have a lunch with the girls in a relaxed country setting.
One of the best eating places. A mouthwatering setting both inside and outside with food to match. Really a unique experience.
Stunning simple robust architecture as a bonus to feast one's eyes on, as well as the food.
Amazing food and great ambiance, lush green winery views as you eat your meals. Each dish ordered was yummy and presented well. The children enjoyed outdoor games in the front garden after lunch.
Service was a bit slow, however very friendly and accommodating. The food was nice and the atmosphere was great. Overall we had a really fun long family lunch.
A beautiful setting with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.. definitely worth the trip . The food range is good and certainly some great flavor combinations to entice the keen foodie. Love this place
I came here for my 21st birthday with my family to do both the wine tasting and the lunch. We were greeted by the front of house who was so kind and warming, I wish I got his name. He instantly made us feel welcome as he sat us down at the table. Debra who did our wine tasting was fabulous and educated us on each wine whilst making it super fun! I had my elderly grandparents with me and they also felt so special. The food was unreal, I would most definitely recommend the pizza or the Crab linguine. We will be back in the winter months and will definitely being our extended family!!
The crab linguini is a standout dish I would come back for time and time again. Lovely venue and fantastic bookshop to browse.
Always enjoyable. Lovely setting. Just a bit noisy.
delicious food and beautiful view. I often take guests to eat.
Beautiful place to be, great spot. I love all of it: the decor, scenery, food, wine, atmosphere and books! The food has always been outstanding. The wine is lovely. Just had a small problem with the drinks not being brought for a long time. We had to ask for them after our meals we served. Overall though, the service is very friendly and good.
Stunning setting delicious food Ben Dooley Chardonnay cuvée very drinkable. All in all a wonderful place to enjoy family friends and food
Such an enjoyable place to lunch with family and friends. Relaxing and delicious food.
We will be back
Beautiful, good service and great food.
Our experience was very enjoyable, food service surroundings were all lovely
There was a noisy (hens) group nearby but they were only enjoying themselves
Nothing negative about our first visit to this Estate. Great location - only a few minutes from Mittagong and Berrima. We loved the place and surrounds. The food was very good and the prices were appropriate. The service was excellent. Will recommend to anyone for any occasion. We will be back.
This restaurant was humming on a Friday @ lunch time. We sat in the new addition that is approximately 5 years old, so not near the library but with an outlook to the vines. Big wooden tables, not particularly clean, staff attentive but not obtrusive. We ordered a shared charcuterie board for entree between 3 of us, then we each ordered different mains; one steak (rare) that was overdone, and sent back to chef, one linguine crab which was delicious and one blue cheese pizza which was generous and tasty. All meals were presented well and the wine list was not large but we found something we liked. Overall good value. The steak was made complimentary and we left happy. Two hour limit on tables which was stated by our waitress at beginning and at end.
COVID restrictions and allocated reservation time slots ensured every was safe and catered for.
