So many flavourful ingredients in each dish and each of the five courses was innovative and varied. I returned to this restaurant bc I had such a good meal last time but this was even better.

                                                                            Best restaurant/bar in Ottawa hands down! Incredible and creative drinks. And always delicious, interested and unexpected menu. And one of the best atmospheres in town - fantastic decor/space and some of the most engaged and charming staff/owners around :). Can’t recommend it highly enough. We keep trying to find reasons to expand our circle of restos, but despite there being lots of interesting places in Ottawa, we have yet to find anywhere else that has convinced us we shouldn’t just keep coming back to the Belmont!!! A+, 10 stars :)

                                                                            The food was outstanding, and reasonably priced for a restaurant of high quality—especially given the generous portions. Super friendly and attentive staff, and a quiet and warm atmosphere. Our only “criticism” is that it would have been nice to have more time between plates: one arrived right after the other, with no break. That said, each plate was amazing and we will be back for sure.

                                                                            This place is smallish with 6 tables and a small bar, which translates to attentive service and really good food. We enjoyed everything we ate, and I give bonus points for the staff working around my wheat sensitivity (not celiac). The presentation of our plates was lovely and a little rustic. This is not a fancy bar, and it's not really a pub. It's just really good. Will go again.

The piri piri chicken, beet salad and beef tataki were rich in flavour. I’m just sad we didn’t have time to try the parsnip cake because we were headed off to Bluesfest
