Went for Restaurant Week and the place did not disappoint. Food was delicious, the wine list was substantial, however only house wines are available by the glass. Will definitely go back again!
I absolutely LOVED my birthday dinner celebration. Everyone enjoyed their food and wine selections.
My husband and I went for Restaurant Week, and were not disappointed. Everything was very good, except the cappuccino, which was watery. Standouts were the polenta appetizer which included perfectly tender pieces of calamari and creamy polenta, and the house chianti, which was a surprise. The portion sizes were just right, and chocolate mousse was a perfect ending.
I think covid has hit this once delightful place a bit hard.
it was restaurant week, so some allowances should be considered, however, one of our party ordered a Bloody Mary, which they could not accommodate. Two of our party asked for something not on the menu and apparently not available for lunch. They were gracious and accommodated our request, which is probably why the agnolotti was very good, but not blissfully wonderful as I remembered it.
Service was a bit slow
I will go back and hope for seeing Bellisimo back to it former glory.
We went during restaurant week and the three course dinner was terrific. We had mushroom ravioli and veal. Both were great. I highly recommend the restaurant
This was our first time and it was restaurant week. Great choices, food was excellent and just the right amount. Of course the warm bread dipped in parmesan and olive oil at the beginning caused us to have take some of the meal home. Desert was delicious. House wine was great. A small gem in the heart of Fairfax city. Free parking lot half a block down on main st.
Spectacular dinner and service. We had the lamb shank and veal for RW and both dishes were delicious. We also enjoyed our appetizers and dessert. Well worth the price for a dinner that was worthy of paying more.
It was our first time visiting this restaurant. Since it was our wedding anniversary, we wanted something a little more special, with nice ambiance. We were certainly not disappointed! It exceeded our hopes and expectations.
Stellar service and amazing food! Highly recommend!
The food and the service were excellent. The veal scalloping was well prepared and artfully presented. The restaurant is of moderate size with comfortable spacing between tables.
The wine list consisted of primarily Italian choices and was mostly priced in the $30-50 range. The house wines were serviceable.
I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and fully recommend Bellisimo
Small restaurant with great service and wonderful food. Entry way is a bit awkward with tables right near the door and nowhere to stand why you wait to be seated, but that's a small inconvenience. We would definitely go back.
Husband and I came here for a much needed date night. I had the specials: tomato basil soup that was to die for, and the rockfish special. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly with two large grilled shrimp and vegetables and all plated beautifully. My food was piping hot which I truly appreciate! Husband had the portobello ravioli which was delicious. I heartedly recommend you try this restaurant.
Cozy, comfortable, friendly, delicious. Went for an early New Year's Eve Dinner with another couple. Had a wonderful time. Great entrees. All were tasty and well presented. Will go back again.
My wife and I have dined at Brlissimo on multiple occasions, and we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves each and every time. The food quality is excellent, as is the service.
They did not have the entree my husband wanted. They should have told us what they don’t have in the menu when they handed us the menu. The calamari appetizer was crispy in the outside, which is good, but it was very tough in the inside (the meat itself). My pasta which has mussels, shrimp, clams, scallops, squid or calamari wasn’t good at all. All the seafood was tough except the scallops. The sauce tasted like it came from a can or something frozen. It was bad, bad, bad…everything was bad…except the two little scallops… Will not be back and don’t recommend at all. Go to Olive Gardens if you’re craving Italian food!
food was good and waiters and staff were friendly. I am impressed with the service.
Excellent experience. Good ambience, nice & quiet. Delicious meal. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Good wine recommendation by Ray. More costly than I can regularly afford but doable on occasion.
Great local restaurant with great food. Service is friendly and efficient. Noise level is high but the restaurant is small and was crowded, which is a good thing. Open on Christmas Eve and very accommodating. Highly recommended.
Come here for wonderful northern Italian fare. Loved the zabaglione.
Delicious food and stellar service. A real gem.
Food was excellent. Nice upscale dining. Bit pricy but definitely will go back!
I drive from NW DC to dine at Bellissimo. It is the best Italian food, service and price.
Enjoyed the quick and attentive service. The food was excellent, the wine was very good. There was a large group which made it a bit noisy. Prices are a little on the higher side, but overall, we liked it and will go again.
I selected this small Italian restaurant to have a cozy intimate dinner with my husband before attending a concert. It was cozy until a party group arrived and because it is a small restaurant, their nose level was really loud. My husband and I could barely hold a conversation over this groups loud laughter and discussions. The meal was delicious but the price was not in correlation with the atmosphere which included bright lights from cars turning onto main street and the loud group we had to try to talk over. I would still recommend this restaurant for the delicious food, however not for a date night.
Loved it. Had the Osso Buco. It was so tender and flavorful, served over gluten-free spaghetti. I also had cannellini beans and sausage appetizer, which was also great. It is a small place but very nice ambiance.
I always know when I go to Bellissimo I’m going to get incredibly delicious Italian food. Never a disappointment! I had the muscles on linguine in a lemon he sauce that was absolutely fabulous… All of the salads are super fresh… I love this place!
First time won't be the last. Food was excellent, well presented, friendly and attentive staff. Pleasant ambience....a great place for small celebrations.
The food is amazing. We had the rockfish with artichokes in sauce with roasted tomatoes. The fish was as smooth as butter. Everything will a cooked just for you, no microwave pre-heated garbage. Everything is fresh. The service is friendly, professional and low-key. The chocolate moose was too die for.
Good food as always. But this time the quality of service and attention to our table was not up to par. We felt neglected and had to call them to our table many times if we needed anything. The VIP treatment for everyone that came into the restaurant, seems to have gone downhill. Probably won’t return for a long while.
This is a quaint little Italian place. The service was efficient and my husband and I both loved our pasta dishes. We will definitely be repeat diners.
Belissimo made our daughter's 16th birthday incredibly special, treating her and her friends with respect and extra special attentive service. Their incredibly delicious food is why we chose them, we'll come back for the food AND the service! Thank you so much for such a special memory 💖
Authenticate Italian in a wonderfully quaint intimate setting. The food is delicious and the staff is fantastic.
The restaurant accommodated a special order. Very good service!
My meal was amazingly good! Veal scallaplni wrapped around Asparagus covered with some type of sauce.. service was impeccable.
I drive all the way from NW DC to enjoy a restaurant that capture Italian cooking at its finest! Wine list is abundant, cocktails made to perfection and the menus will please any palate. Worth the drive!!
Such a cute restaurant & overall great dining experience. The food & the service were fantastic!!
Celebrate my friend’s birthday
Nice, intimate dinner with great food. Downside is it’s very cramped so you’ll get to know your neighbors. We sat next to bathroom so when the doors opened, there was a musty smell for most of the night. Overall great food and quaint dinner experience.
