Decided to do a dinner of appetizers, 5 out of 6 served to perfection, the 6th was the grilled calamari, over done. Very unusual. Have been there many times and always satisfied. Will definitely return.
It was a slow evening at the restaurant which may explain the wonderful ambience and service. But as a first time customer, am definitely returning. Loved it and lots of interesting things on the menu
Everything was just wonderful: food, ambience and service especially the staff and Alicia
Fast and great variety of food.
Consistency is very important in any restaurant and Belle and Maxwell’s definitely meets all of that. The food and service is always right on the spot.Tonight a party of four all agreed their choices were excellent. A great meal was enjoyed by all.
Fun, eclectic place hidden in a set back strip of shops. Parking can be challenging. Good and varied food choices with the ability to have half and half - half salad, half soup, half soup, half sandwich or try two halves of different sandwiches. Anything is possible and all were delicious. Close to the Norton Art Museum and perfect for a bite before or after.
I just love this place! It is so quaint and relaxing with a bit of southern charm. The walls are decorated with stained glass art which is available for purchase. There are summer specials for lunch and dinner. For lunch, my husband ordered a huge turkey sandwich with melted Brie on a crusty fresh warm roll and soup and both were delicious. I had the salad sampler - scoops of curry chicken salad and tuna salad on a green salad with pecans, goat cheese and fruit. Very good. We will return for dinner.
Ver cute atmosphere and decorations. My friend and I sat in very comfy chairs. Young servers were friendly, caring and delightful. The food was very good. Lots of choices. Not cheap, by any means, but not out of line for a nice restaurant such as this. We went rather early, so the noise level was minimal.
Although under new ownership, Belle and Maxwells still has good food and great service. New staff still provides great attentive service, menu has changed a bit, food still good and average price for Palm beach area. Do miss the family feel of the previous owner being on site and spending time to chat with each customer, always felt like family when dinning.
We were seated where I requested to be seated. I asked for extra decorations on the table and Sarah- Renee made sure there were extras. The food was good, the avocado/ turkey sandwich bread was hard to eat for a couple of ladies, they didn’t complain. The salads were good and the dessert was superb.
Quaint surroundings with very good food. Can't wait to return
Great food, atmosphere and service. The glass mosaics hanging from the ceiling add to the ambience.
Very good prix fixe with lovely ambience and delightful server.
We arrived early for a dinner during the week. The place wasn't very busy but the food was great. The waitress was super friendly and experienced.
Very nice restaurant! I definitely recommend it and we will visit it again.
Each new experience at Belle and the staff remains efficient despite the larger crowds. We were seven women this time. An additional five friends sat separately. Each had a meal they would recommend. Doesn’t get better than that. (Except separate checks? I think we’d have ordered more, if we weren’t sharing the cost.)
We really enjoyed our lunch at Belle and Maxwells! I always feel I am transported to another reality when I’m there. A calm and delicious reality!
What happened to this neighborhood gem?
This has been a go too lunch spot for us for years.
Today was beyond a total disappointment.
The quiche of the day arrived burnt with chunks of cheese on top to cover it up?! We asked for a replacement. It arrived the same and we sent it back no longer hungry as my companion was almost finished with her disappointing roast beef and Brie sandwich. The roast beef looked like it came from Arby’s! The baguette was old so it had been toasted to death. It was horrible.
This place has lost its mojo.
It is outrageously expensive for what it is.
We won’t be back...
The restaurant is charming and the entire staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. I will definitely go back and share this gem with everyone I know!
Held my son’s graduation luncheon there. Outstanding service and delicious food. That was my second time there and I will be going again and again. Delicious wine!
Four ladies for lunch - everyone raves about their selection. Fantastic menu - healthy, creative cuisine.
My friend and I took our friends out for their birthday (twins) and they had never been to Belle and Maxwell’s, so it was the perfect choice... and it didn’t disappoint (it never does!). We were greeted by a lovely server, and given a nice round table, always a plus. Our friends loved the eclectic decor, and artifacts. We weren’t rushed, and given time to make decisions. As always, the food was delicious, with nice little accompaniments on the plate. Our friends loved their choices of tuna salad and turkey meatloaf, and we were very happy with our salads as well. As a birthday dessert they served a lovely sampler with outrageously delicious choices of cheesecake, key lime pie and flourless chocolate cake. The only thing that outdid the meal was our waitress. I’m embarrassed to say I forgot her name, but she, and the others, were wonderful. Love going to B and M, and will definitely be back soon.
Ordered food 3 of 4 plates came out 4 th dinner was given to another table so they said they had to make a new one which took another 25 minutes and did not come out until everyone else was done. Nobody came over to apologize or offer even desert. Then desert came and was good but coffee was ice cold by that time I didn’t even asked to get it fixed we just wanted to get out of there.
Great meal. Love the atmosphere and service was attentive. The crab meat cocktail salad was delicious
