Charmingly unique, Bellaria Restaurant and Wine Bar in Fitzrovia is a must for those tired of the same typical Italian dining experience.
From street level Bellaria looks like a simple Italian restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The best seats in the house are by the wide windows where you can sit and watch the world go by.
However, a few steps below and guests are transported to a whole other world. Bellaria’s basement is straight out of a fairytale – its bare stone walls, with their arches, nooks and crannies complemented by chandeliers, mirrors, and low lighting, enhance the atmospheric ambience. It is the ideal setting for romance and a real surprise to everyone who discovers it.
Sophisticated and contemporary, our menu makes good use of authentic Italian ingredients to produce elegant and creative dishes ranging from pastas and risottos to steaks and fish. To complement our delicious food we have created a long list of excellent wines.

I think we just picked the wrong day to come. A bank holiday after Christmas (27/12). Lots of things they didn’t have. No coffee for a martini, no coffee for….well coffee (unless you wanted a decaf). We chose what there was and still got charged full price for it which was not great TBH. There is a supermarket one street away too. They didn’t charge for my wife’s sorbet, but I couldn’t have a tiramisu as they didn’t have that either!!! Other people on other tables asked for other menu items they didn’t have either. The people running on the night it were nice but they were frustrated too (got the feeling anyway). Thought the drinks were over priced. Would I go again? Yes probably. As I say probably unlucky which night we chose. Don’t “not go” if you read this. I am just reflecting our experience as a one off. I am sure if we went again all would be fantastic. Just over £100 with the tip. Slightly “rich” IMO.

Xmas dinner £75 a head- way over priced. Really noisy ( but good) 60,s music - way too loud! And no social distancing- staff did not wear masks and seats close together in a basement restaurant! If 1 person had Covid we are all screwed. Also ran out of lobster spaghetti one of the limited selections on the set menu. They really need to show more concern for health security

Excellent experience! The food was delicious & the atmosphere was fun & energetic. The truffle hummus starter was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful & fun to be around. Even our kids want to go back. I couldn’t make a stronger recommendation if you’re looking for good food & an enjoyable night.

Very noise place..I felt like we are in the local pub not in the restaurant where u can talk and enjoy the Evening.. no no no..not in this place... Couldn't even hear my friends sitting next to each other.... Very dissaponted...ruined our Evening...
