We arrived five minutes before our reservation and weren’t acknowledged until 15 minutes AFTER our reservation time. The hostess was very rude and didn’t give us and ETA. She just said “okay”. I had to flag her down and ask what was going on with our table. She responded with “sir you have only been waiting for 15 minutes”. At that point we walked out. We will never return to this restaurant.

Exquisite food in a gorgeous old building. It was fun to look around at the fixtures and beautiful wood touches. Having said that, once seated with drinks....we were asked to move to a different table because of a big party coming in. Poor planning is not our fault! Our salads came out AFTER our entrees, one salad was forgotten, and one was wrong. Yes, they were very busy on a Saturday evening but we made our reservation for 5:00, hoping to miss some of the rush. Because the deep dish was so divine...we will consider coming again while in Chicago.

This is an adorable place!!! We randomly picked this restaurant based off of our hotel’s recommendation and we were very happy!! Meatballs were good but a tad too spicy and the veal was fabulous!!!

While the food was pretty good, the service was not the best. Wait staff would walk past all the time, not acknowledging guests and the food took forever to come. They were even ignoring us when we were trying to pay the check. Could be an okay spot for casual family dinners though.

Food was exceptional especially the Fuiti deMare. Clearly authentic and a great value as well. Would have given a fifth star for ambiance but the air conditioning in the rear was out and while they had a portable unit it didn’t quite keep up with the humidity/need. Do NOT take this wrong, this is a must visit restaurant and one I’ll return to when I’m in Chicago! Oh and they magically found a 2007 Borollo that wasn’t on the wine list.

First time here. Part of hotel staying at. Air conditioning broken. They had a portable one going but still warm in restaurant. Cavatappi chicken was great. Offered bread after entree was delivered to table. Friendly waitstaff.
