My wife and I had another GREAT meal at Beeside Balcony last night. We've been several times, but this was our first time sitting at a balcony table. It was even better than we expected! The food was perfect, as usual. The staff was extremely friendly, and service was exceptional (a rarity these days, unfortunately). We only missed seeing Christophe, as he is usually there to say hello to us. We highly recommend Beeside Balcony and we look forward to returning.
Everything was delicious. It was a beautiful setting. The service was great.
Great service, the tables on the patio are fairly close together but otherwise the ambiance is great!
We loved our early dinner at Beeside - had the shrimp pesto and roasted cauliflower and the view and ambience is fantastic.
Really great staff and ambience!
Lovely deck with shade covering and heat lamps made lunch on windy day perfect. Both the service and food were excellent. Parking available under or behind building. Look forward to going again.
I would have liked to sit on the terrace. But, I was told people with reservations would sit there. I mentioned that I have also made a reservation. But, it seems you need to specify where you want to sit.
We had a nice lunch with great service. We really liked the upstairs patio location.
A bit over hyped. Food is just ok, and pricier than we expected.
This is my “go to” restaurant and has been since moving here in 2020. Menu is perfect. Not a huge menu (which is good), but all the dishes are tasty. I get the Sea Bass and Octopus quite a bit and they are always consistent with taste and presentation. I have brought many friends /family to BeeSide as well as recommending to friends.
Love this place! It is a true local gem, and I always try to take my out of town guests there when they visit. Once we start with the trio of dips, everyone loves the place. I've enjoyed everything that I've ever had there, but that pita bread is the best!
We had our young kids with us for lunch and it was a beautiful day with fantastic food and service.
Always outstanding food and service!
Went for the first time and was not disappointed. We had excellent service from Kristina who gave us honest opinions on food orders and wine! Went in with expectations of short staffing and food shortages but was pleasantly surprised by the attention and awesome food. Will be back.
We love Beeside Balcony! Everything we’ve been served was exquisitely done. The staff are always upbeat and respectful. We keep coming back and bringing more and more family and friends.
Pork chop and octopus were super dry. Nice server but food was not up to par this time
You can always count on Beeside to deliver a super meal! This is a warm inviting place for Alfresco dining! The staff is warm and attentive, and the food is creative and always delicious! I love the sea scallop entree, but everything is very good!
If you are looking to have a lovely dinner with terrific ambience, you must give it a try!
We enjoyed a sunset dinner at the Beeside Balcony - it was our first time. I ordered the Crispy Fried Chicken Breast with potato puree. I also ordered the Yellow Beets, and Polenta Cake. My husbad ordered the Filet with Truffle Parmesan Fries.
We ordered a few glasses of wine, and we said we wanted to drink first and then order later. The server came back several times to ask us if we were ready to order food, but we were not, so we ordered a crab cake, to quell the server visits. Overall, the food was good, except my chicken breast was a bit dry. The menu is a bit sparse, but we usually expect that from a smaller place at the coast. I would recommend this place to others, just because the balcony is up high - the actual sunset is blocked by the trees, but it is still nice to be up high.
Food was good and the view and service were wonderful.
Still our favorite restaurant in SD. Superb salmon, delightful outdoor patio looking out over DM to the ocean, warm welcome always.
Welcoming and attentive staff, good food, varied menu
Great food. Great services. The octopus was disappointing and I would not recommend it. I will be going back - great vibe.
Awesome menu assortment and service. Grilled octopus and the beeside board are a must.
A wonderful time. Also, nice to hear live music in the other dining area.
Great food and service. Awesome small area to dine on patio on second floor.
We had a lovely evening at Beeside. We had to wait a bit for food but the ambiance with sunset and great music was excellent. The food is absolutely incredible - well presented, portioned and just delicious. Service was excellent - food was worth the slightly long wait.
We went for a special occasion that was noted on our reservation and it was never acknowledged by the staff. Timing was very off. We waited around 20 minutes before we were sat. Food came out at odd times. Everything was pretty slow. We really chose Beeside Balcony for the ambiance and we were sat in the hallway between the businesses. Very disappointing. Food was undercooked, shrimp in the pasta still had tails on it, dessert was frozen. The waiter was nice and accommodating, but it overall was not an amazing experience. We are willing to come try it out again, but our first experience was definitely not anything special.
Good was good, wine was good but a bit pricey. We sat in middle of balcony and it was really loud which is weird because you are outside
This is the second time eating here. The first time was absolutely amazing across the board. The food, the service, the ambiance. This time however, it was not. I made a reservation for a birthday celebration and asked for a specific area. I understand that sometimes special requests are not possible but if not, the least the restaurant should do is acknowledge the request and apologize. Instead, not only that my request was ignored, we were placed outside the restaurant as if this is a common seating area (which is not). Besides that, the mussles smelled fishy, the linguine pesto was heavy in the earthy taste and the octopus was a little chewy. Not at all what we expected.
Extremely friendly and accommodating staff.
Baklava cake a disappointment. Just a slab of ice cream in a honey sauce.
Meal was good
Great restaurant. Great location in Del Mar! Great food!
I love the place but the food selection for brunch is very meager and the vegetable omelet was overcooked and bland. Perhaps they should just open at 11 a.m. and stick to lunch items. The brunch menu is much too limited to open at 10 a.m.
The service, food and atmosphere were amazing. We will be back!
This was the first time I had lunch there and it was just as good as dinner. Really delicious!
Great food, great staff loved it, just not the best cocktails
Had a nice dinner w some delicious Chilean Sea Bass.
From the friendly greeting to the final “Have a wonderful day!” Or experience was terrific. Amber, our server, was attentive and great. I felt like she was an old friend. Had the Spanish Octopus. Out of this world: great sear, juicy, truly memorable. We will be back.
Great place for a romantic evening. Be sure to request a patio table. The sangria is divine!
Very good bistro food
