beerbistro is pretty chuffed to say that we were ahead of the beer-boom in Toronto! Since day one we took beer seriously — educating diners to the enormous range of flavours in beer — both in the glass and on the plate, serving up a varied bistro menu paired with a selection of 100+ local craft and international beers. There are only a few things that we insist on around here: that guests leave here with a new understanding of what a beer can be; that the kitchen employs the vast diversity of flavours found in beer to craft new tastes and food experiences; and that everyone — customers, staff, and management included — has a good time!

Loves being able to sit outside. Tables were a little close so we were privy to everyone’s conversations. Had the shrimp fettuccini. Was served hot and quick. Washed it down with a couple of beers we remember from a trip we took to Belgium 2 months ago. Overall a great dining experience

My friends and I went on a Sunday night and it was really quiet. The service was amazing for the first part of the meal, but then there was a shift change and the second half was fine just not as good. The food was tasty and well made but a bit old fashioned. The decor is beautiful. Excellent spot for business meals.

I made a reservation and they sat us at the worst table on the way out the door to the patio. We didn’t realize until part way through that there were lots of empty tables. Don’t do that to people who have planned ahead! Food was good and server was great.

Service was satisfactory throughout the service. Occasional checking in, however in a table of 6, the server took the orders of 4 people then walked away. The server also charged 17.50 for a double instead of 12, and we had to wait 20 minutes for the manager who was downstairs. The manager was a floor below and instead of walking there the servers sent a text and simply waited. Halfway through we asked if we could be reimbursed cash which they denied. Eventually once the manager came back we were reimbursed in cash for 5.50, not factoring in the addition tip and tax.
