   The food was very good as was the service. Some choices in the food preparation was unusual and not to our expectation. The biscuits and gravy were plain biscuits with an inappropriate side of brown gravy instead of the common immersion in red-eye gravy - more to our liking. Thugs and sausage were well prepared.

   Beef & Leaf is a bright addition to dining in Los Alamos, with a seasonal, creative, and varied menu. An interesting option which changes weekly is the prix fixe menu. Items are carefully prepared with a talented chef's touch. We have enjoyed both brunches and dinners, and will be returning again. Service was attentive and professional. A good value!

   First time there and the food and service was excellent. I enjoyed the buttermilk chicken which had a nice bite to it, while my dad had the crab fritters which I also tasted and found to be good.

   The steak frittes were cooked perfectly and served on an abundance of beautifully seasoned greens. These were accompanied by a generous amount of French fries. The buttermilk fried chicken was a tad overcooked, but delicious. Cheesy grits accompanying the two chicken breasts were delicious. We shared a slice of the chocolate flourless cake, that was outstanding! The single slice of cake (accompanied by a couple of raspberries) was the perfect finish to our wonderful dinner. The single slice was enough for two, as it was very rich.

   Great food overall. I highly recommend the weekly prix fixe menus with wine pairing. There is a fantastic balance between meat and vegetarian dishes. Awesome place in Los Alamos!

    It’s always a pleasure having a meal at Beef and Leaf. Los Alamos is blessed to have this restaurant with the friendly staff and delicious food.
