We aare temporarily closed until further notice but are offering curbside takeout Wednesday-Sunday from 5-7:30 pm. Phone Lines open at 1:30 pm, Wednesday-Sunday.

This is a great place to share a special dinner. In our case, it was a delayed Valentine's Day dinner. This Inn has such a romantic warmth and feel. The food is exquisite. And the service makes you feel very special.

Seated immediately. Nice wine list. The online food menu did not reflect the menu that was handed to us. Smoked trout appetizer was delicious, with a lot of trout! My Sweet potato gnocchi were great. Perfect consistency, large portion, very flavorful mushrooms. Wy wife's filet was cooked perfectly. A little sparse on the root vegetables. Bread pudding was flavorful, and not too heavy. One downside were the long intervals between service. We had already finished our coffee when the desserts finally came. Similar delay between asking for the check and finally receiving it. Maybe understaffed on a Saturday evening??

The Bee and Thistle Inn has a reputation of one of the most romantic restaurants in CT. While the food and service were good, it did not strike me as romantic, especially since we booked far in advance for Valentine's Day. It was a Friday night and there was no live music (they used to have a harpist) only piped music that was not very romantic. I was somewhat disappointed with the evening.

Valentine's Day at the Bee and Thistle is special to us since we were married there 8 years ago. As always, the staff is wonderful, place is gorgeous and romantic and the food delicious. Can't beat if for a romantic dinner.

A warm fire, cozy surroundings, pleasing light level, lively but not loud noise, comfortable chairs, good food, excellent service.... Altogether a very pleasant experience.

Food was creative, tasty and served hot and all together. One minor complaint, the tile floor was very cold. The atmosphere leaves one feeling luxurious as you pass through stuffed couches and a live fire into a full window porch. A very pleasant experience and evening.
