I love this place and have had a few meals there and each time the food was great and the service was excellent. I recently had brunch on a Sunday and sat in front of the fireplace and also enjoyed bottomless Mimosa's! They have a great menu and there is something for everyone. I will be going back soon!
Food and service was very good.
Have been here several times for dinner and was happy with the food. However my lunch chopped salad today was very disappointing. Left most of it in the bowl.
The food was great but the restaurant only had 2 wait staff working during brunch. I would expect to not wait for a refill on my drink if I do bottomless with a time limit which is the only downside. I had to get up and request pitchers from the bar because we felt bad for the waitresses running around the whole place which was busy during brunch time.
Cool place...went after parade
We went for bottomless brunch and the service was incredibly slow. When we finished a drink it was about 30 minutes before we were able to get our servers attention to get another one. We took a look around and every other table's glasses were empty as well. This kind of defeats the purpose of bottomless brunch if you can't even get a refill. It was crowded in the restaurant, but it seems like they were not adequately prepared for a Sunday brunch on the day of the Thanksgiving day parade.
I love the food. The service is usually a bit slow and the servers are terrific people but need training to really give top level service. Feels a little bush league for Stamford.
Great atmosphere and location! Awesome interior with fireplaces, brick and iron accents. We were there prior to a show at the palace theater just a block away so really comvenient. We were in a bit of a hurry so didn’t get to sample more than the burgers(kind of small but tasty) and fish tacos(really good). Plan to go back because there’s a lot on the menu we’d like to try...know people who have gone for happy hour and raved about it!
Good food, spotty service. Took awhile to be greeted by a server. Food was good but was only warm when it came to the table.
We have eaten here multiple times since they opened. We like the food and the atmosphere but have noticed that the music is getting louder and louder. We like to eat out to enjoy good food AND good conversation. I hope this place does not make the same mistake as the last restaurant that was in this location by letting the bar scene overtake the dining.
Everything was great but it was so incredibly loud I had to scream to be heard.
Great place overall. One big problem is the volume level. Very loud. Cannot have a conversation without yelling.
Had a great time and the service was amazing. Got incredibly loud at the end of the evening as the place transitioned to more of a party scene. Would’ve left earlier if I’d known but had a great time up until that point
Was a fun place. Wasnt too busy but we went in the middle of the afternoon. The food was modern bar food so was tasty and had some good combinations.
Yes. More. Yes. More. Is this 50 characters yet? Geez this is worse than online dating profiles. Lol
Service was great very loud not a place to enjoy your friends and conversation .
Good food, trendy menu with all the good basics; Burgers, Artisan Pizza. I've been going since it opened..looking forward to their Winter menu!
Great shrimp and grits! Definitely worth another visit.
Restaurant looked nice and food was tasty. However the sandwich I had felt very small. Service was fair having to ask for drink refills. Summary not worth the price despite not being expensive.
A bit noisy but great food. Better than the usual grits.
The food was AMAZING! The decor was stunning, and our waiter was super nice.
Food was good. Server forgot to put our appitizer in so we had already gotten our food when the appitizer finally came out.
Visited for my birthday brunch because I saw a lot of positive reviews for brunch. I have a gluten allergy, and didn’t feel that this restaurant really knew what they were doing when it comes to gluten allergies. There are items on the menu listed as unsafe that are safe. Thet denote “gluten free or gluten friendly” on the menu which is not the same thing so results in additional extra conversation and uncertainty from the waitstaff. We ordered and it took 15-20 mins to get a beer. About 30 mins after ordering I was told that the kitchen ran out of GF pizza crust, then had to wait for a menu to be provided again, and then have additional convo about what was and wasn’t GF again. My food arrived after the other diners finished their meals. No one felt like the food was great or like they had a great experience. Also it’s incredibly dark inside and they didn’t have a patio. Would not recommend.
Yes. I’ll be back. Might’ve been 4 stars. Will update
Nothing great or memorable about the food and service was poor. The restaurant overall is average and lacking a wow factor.
Fun spot, great happy hour deal too. Good cocktails and loved the pizza! Would definitely recommend
This was our 2nd time there. First time was good. This time was not good.
They screwed up my wife’s order. Was apologetic and tried to make it right but was not good.
Not sure we will be back.
Started off well, but as the restaurant got busier, it was clearly understaffed. Food took way to long as did the check.
Waitress was friendly and we enjoyed the food. Happy Hour specials are an excellent value. Management needs to pay more attention and step in or add more staff.
May be growing pains, so we’ll definitely go back again to see if they can get their act together.
Diverse menu. All was pretty good, not great. Would say it is better for a group than a small party. Nice visibility out. Worth another shot.
Had a nice lunch at high top table. Service was good and gave us time to chat and enjoy.
Cant remember how many restaurants haven't made it in this location. Food is OK. Nothing special. Probably need to step it up if it plans on surviving.
The food was great, service was prompt, staff was polite. Had a table with a child under 1 and we had room for his stroller. Good experience overall, will definitely go back.
Third time there. First two times were great food/service. Food is great...as long as the waitress gets your order right. Truffle pizza is amazing. Fish tacos are very good, too. Drink was not what we ordered. Maybe she was having a tough day. I will still go back and try again for the good food, relaxed atmosphere.
We went here for the second time. It was noisy but from the guests and not from the music! I like how we can select high top table vs regular seating through Open Table. We ordered the big pretzel which is fantastic. I had the Cesar salad with shrimp which was very good and my husband had the chicken with waffles. A substantial portion. Service was very attentive and we had another good experience.
The food was excellent! We were distressed though that we were the only patrons between 12:15 and 1:30. I noticed that your website says only Brunch and Dinner. I suggest you thoroughly revise your website.
WOW! Bedford Hall is my new favorite spot! My waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food is incredible! I had the pulled pork nachos to start and I could not have been happier. For my main dish I had the Honey and Goat cheese pizza which is unreal! I will be back for sure
Unfortunately no one greeted us at the host stand for ten minutes. I went to the bartender to inquire about someone getting us a table. 75% of the table were available there was just a lack of staff and the few staff that was there didn’t acknowledge us at all bc the were not empowered within their jobs to take the initiative to step outside there specific roles. I asked a couple who was sitting if they had been there long and they said they had been waiting 40 minutes for someone to take their food order. They had only gotten their drinks (which were all done) and no one had come to them to refill their water glasses in a long time. The couple told us to leave if we were hungry and wanted to eat, which we did. It seems like the restaurant has a design, good menu, but needs more staff coverage at all times and that the staff also need flexibility within their jobs to step into other roles as needed to make customers experiences a great one. The customer service I think will make or break the restaurant in terms of whether it will survive and thrive. A lack of well trained, empowered is crucial in today’s competitive restaurant market. I suggest management sit and observe the staff at Lucky’s down the street to see why their restaurant is always busy and successful where others on the street are not.
It’s so noisy that we were shouting and saying “what?” the whole time. Our Server was very nice and very helpful but despite the fact that I had asked several times about gluten free items on the menu and ordered my salad gluten free, my pizza didn’t look gluten free, and after i asked, we found out it wasn’t. He apologized profusely as he should’ve realized or asked. They took it away and put an order in for a new one. The server brought the manager to apologize as well. Then they brought another pizza which looked a little different than the first. I was about to dig in when another server came over and took it away and gave me a third pizza that was actually gluten free. Pretty risky mistake to make twice!! All of the food was very good and we did enjoy iy. When the check came, we were charged for the original pizza as well as the gluten free pizza with the gf surcharge. After all that, they should’ve take the pizza completely off the check but to charge us for two was a little nervy, and again they missed the chance to do right by us and remove it from the check.
We noticed this opened recently and tried it this past Saturday night. The ambiance is nice and the menu is has a little something for everyone. The service was good - plenty of people working there. They were accommodating to my husband’s dietary request, which we always appreciate. I thought our food was good and we will go back again.
