   Tonight was way off for the standards I have come to expect from BECCA. Three of the menu items were out of stock, the Rockfish had a substitute, the porkchop and the lamb were also unavailable. My entree was to have been served over cous cous, also out and was substituted with a generous portion of mixed vegetables However the entrees we ordered were very good.

   Service was slow and spotty. I’m not sure if due to understaffing or slow kitchen or just not caring. Our waitperson forgot an item we ordered, food was really slow, and attention was spotty throughout the meal. I just had the impression she would have rathered be anywhere else.

   Was extremely loud,hard to hear my Wife next to me.Seating arrangements very close to other diner's.Table and plate to small, Food very good.When we went to leave the valet guys informed us that it was $6,and we could add more money to tip the valet,ha.So it cost us $11 to leave, and then we were blocked by other cars.I won't be going back.

   Our waitress was very helpful in explaining the different choices on the menu. My husband was delighted as she left a pot of hot coffee for his use, which lasted him the entire meal. He raves about the Becca burger—one of the best in Virginia Beach. The spice cake was outstanding!

   Once again I have tried the crab cake and have found it to be very different from the lump crab recipe used in the past. I was in hope that it may have been improved but it has not. In the future I will not recommend it to my guests or order it for myself. The crab soup is lovely and Oysters Becca were impressive, but not to the Chef, go easy on the breadcrumbs in the top.

    We had requested a patio table for a birthday months in advanced but upon arriving they had no idea about the request and after a 10 min wait while other walks in were seated on the patio - they found a table in the far back patio area for us. The table and booth wabbled so much we had to move to a different one in same area. Then our waiter appeared and said” I’ll be right back to get your drinks”. He was not right back it was a wait. We placed drink orders and he came back with only 1 of 2 and it was the wrong drink he realized and corrected it and said the other drink would come but bar was backed up . Another wait. My daughter’s correct drink came but not mine still. We ordered finally. There were flies in the tree on the patio which was close to us. They were a few at our table which is unappetizing. Our food was delivered but still no drink. At this point we’ve been there 45 minutes at least. I imagine our food sat in kitchen for awhile before a server delivered it! Food was barely warm but I could not get the waiter to tell him. We were frustrated and hungry so we just ate it. Finally 1/2 way into my meal the drink finally arrived which I no longer really wanted. At this point we are almost ready to go … but we sit and sit and sit and sit 20mins no waiter, I finally get up and hunt down a random busy waiter and ask for boxes (flies are landing in food) for our check. We wait. No check no boxes. So I get up again and ask a waitress who promptly got the boxes old plates and said she’d get the check asap. She was great. Then appears our waiter w/the check and excuse that he got caught up w/a 9 top inside. Not my fault though. 95$ 2 barely warm French toast an ice coffee and a Bloody Mary which we didn’t drink oh and 10$ for valet parking! No one ever mentioned birthday .
