We came to Becca for burger night and had a wonderful meal with the impeccable service of Barney Gill. Our burgers were cooked perfectly. Barney was very friendly, attentive and accommodating.
Out first time visiting Becca and it was amazing. We chose to order something from the Burger Night menu and it did not disappoint. Our server Barney was truly perfect and we will ask for his section every time we visit.
Excellent restaurant! We went for their burger Monday. The food was excellent and the service was spot on. Highly recommend this restaurant and making a reservation - it was almost completely packed when we arrived. I made our reservation about 8 days in advanced.
Burger night is do fun had a good waiter
Brunch at Becca was lovely. The ambiance of the indoor patio can’t be beat. The menu has a variety of very nice choices. It’s a bit pricey, but I expected that - it’s part of a newly renovated landmark hotel. It was also a little loud. However, the noise wouldn’t keep me from returning. Overall, our party of six enjoyed Becca’s Sunday Brunch.
The food was delicious. We had breakfast. French Toast for 2 and Hubby ordered a side of sausage and I had a coffee. A bit pricey for French toast breakfast for 2. Bill was $47 and change. $60 with tip. Understand you pay for the atmosphere and this is nice for once in a while unless you can afford $50 French Toast on a regular basis. We consider this an occasional treat.
We had an amazing experience celebrating 2 birthdays at Becca. Our server, Grace was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
I had been here for dinner before, but never for Brunch and I must say I was disapointed in the food. I ordered the North End omelet ( seafood omelet) , it was $21 - and was very small and although it tasted good , there was very little seafood in it. f it had been $12, it would have been fine, however for the price it was very disappointing. I had a house Bloody Mary which was Very good and the Service was great, but will not go there for brunch ever again. I could name 6-7 Virginia Beach restaurants whose brunch food is amazing for almost half the price. So - I would recommend Becca for the Ambiance and Dinner , but definitely not for Brunch
Ordered the NY strip special med-well. It came out in a fairly timely fashion but the entire plate was cold. Seriously lame considering there was only one other table being served. Our server Barney was a rockstar.
Crab cake was very bland. Skirt steak sandwich special and the bacon wrapped salmon salad was amazing
Ty, in the bar, was excellent and gave us a great start to a fun evening. His martini's are top notch. Jasmyn's service in the restaurant was impeccable. She gave us great suggestions. The food was excellent. Try the wood fired oysters. I could have had them for a meal. Everything was just as you would expect it at the Cavalier. Can't wait to go back.
We have so good experience from earlier visits. So when my wife wanted to celebrate her 50 y birthday we chose this restaurant. As always, nice place and a good start. Appertizers were good and very good. However, the Main dish were catastrofic. My wifes was ok, but mine were overcooked. I complained and they, fair enough brought me a new one. When it arrived, we checked it with the boss present. Overcooked again. He offeret me one more time a new dish. But my wife were finished eating. The evening was destroyed already. We left very disappointed. And we got no compensation. Becca was able to ruin this great evening.
Our experience was the best represents the quality of the Cavalier. We plan multiple visit over the years>
Great burger, great glass of wine at a great price ($15.00) in a really classy place. Tank you Becca!
The waitstaff, valet parking attendants and doorman were all friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby and dinning area was exceptional.
I can’t begin to articulate how much attention to detail is put into every inch of the Cavalier, to include Becca. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the staff who parked our vehicle and held the door open for us. Although this place is gorgeous and very classy, the staff always makes me feel welcomed and happy that I’m there. The service at Becca is just as amazing, always so accommodating. I usually go for Sunday Brunch, however, we decided to try Monday burger night to start the week off with some fun. Hands down, the best burger in Hampton Roads. Whoever the chef is, they got a gem in the kitchen. Dinner was followed with the perfect little desert that was just the right size and didn’t make us feel miserably stuffed. Becca is my favorite place to dine year-round- keep up the great work. It’s a step back in time to when society had class.
Hats off to chef on Sundays brunch. The food was so elegantly presented and so delicious.
Our server Grace was so gracious and really made the whole experience that much better. She was totally committed to pleasing the guests.
Natasha ( at the bar ) was a delight last week. I had to mention her because we enjoyed our conversation with her as we ate.
The Food was excellent, but the service on Saturday night was not wat I have come to expect. All restuarants sometimes have an off night.
This was our first visit to Becca’s and definitely will not be our last! Service was OUTSTANDING! From valet parking, doorman, hostess to waitstaff, everyone at the Cavalier and Becca’s restaurant treat you as though you are the most important person there. The food was delicious and served in a timely, but not rushed manner. The price was very reasonable for such a quality dining experience. Don’t miss this restaurant!
Since the new chef came he has taken away the soup that was given before each meal and we loved it. Our waitress was awful, she never came by to serve our wine unless we asked, bad representation of Becca
This was an absolutely beautiful & wonderful place. It is a one of a kind experience just to be there. The staff is perfect in attendance to your every need & so pleasant in a most sophisticated way. Wish I could live there. Can't wait to go back.
It was amazing - it was my birthday and they nailed it. I had the gopher and my friend had the duck and both were perfect. We had the smoked oysters and stone crab claws for an appetizer and they were outstanding and our salad was fantastic. Everyone was so polite helpful and just completely respectful that we were they to enjoy every bite at a leisurely pace. the sommelier recommended a great wine to pair with our meal and took pictures I will always treasure- the birthday dessert was just a bonus that we devoured - I will be back! Thank you-
Good restaurant with good service. Some money grab tactics like only offering 4 oysters in their appetizer instead of standard 6, which came pre-dressed and no lemon. The Cavalier is a cool hotel but the interior of the restaurant didn’t really reflect the extravagance. I enjoyed everything and thought it matched the ~80pp price tag.
Perfect evening! Lovely setting!Wonderful food!excellent service! Delightful!
We went for brunch and the food and service was wonderful.
We enjoyed a very pleasant breakfast. Great food, great service and atmosphere.
The server was wonderful however the food was delivered slow as well as drinks
Second time at Becca and still not impressed. They had our waitress filet my bronzini (it was one of the specials) table side, and it did not go well. We don't blame her though, waitresses have enough to do without filleting a fish that should be left whole in the first place. It is a great atmosphere and we love the Cavalier Hotel, but Becca's menu and dish preparation need to improve.
I was very excited to have dinner at Becca. I had been looking forward to doing so. Once there, we didn't receive a wine list or drink menu until well into the dinner. There weren't any real option for people who are allergic to seafood, tree nuts or mushrooms. The service was pretty good, the food no so much. I had one of the specials - Veal Check Risotto. The veal really need some salt and the risotto was not done completely. It was more like cheese rice. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was delicious, the "grilled oysters", were flavorless. All in all, I was disappoint. I didn't complain to the manager, just paid my bill and left. I knew I wouldn't return to Becca.
Everything about Becca was enjoyable, ambiance, food, service, and reasonable prices for lunch. The menu was inviting with something for most everyone.
Enjoyed our first visit to Becca this evening for dinner. The food and service was amazing!!! I cannot rave enough about it. Definitely get the oyster dish... it comes out covered with burning embers and was so good I ordered two.
Wonderful experience. The food was incredible, as was the service!
This was a very disappointing visit. We have been here for dinner before and had a wonderful time, so we brought friends here for lunch on New Year's Day. It was rather chaotic while the staff was setting up for the evening, climbing on seats to setup balloons and displays. The hostess and our server were not on their game. The hostess knocked over the flower vase w/water upon seating us and did nothing about it.
We had to ask for spoons for our soup and to have water glasses refilled. We ordered a bottle of wine and while pouring, our server missed and poured some down the side of the glass.
We love Becca and everything about the Cavalier Resort. Monday Night’s Burger Night is a huge hit. An Angus burger cooked to your preference and a big glass of the house- selected Cabernet all for $15/ pp. A wonderful deal.
Food and service was good !!!! VERY small pour of wine !!!
Loved Becca’s Burger night so much the next time we went we invited friends to come with us.
This was my second time visiting this restaurant. The first time was so bad they gave us all gift cards to come back and show us how much better they could be. This time was just as bad. The food was just okay. The homemade cinnamon bun was the best thing. The service is incredibly slow. We had a 12:00 reservation and we didn’t get our food until after 1:15 and I was missing part of my food on my plate. Our waiter was sweet and he tried but he could also use some training. My overall experience was just bad and I will not be returning.
I've been twice - the food and service were exceptional both times. Definitely my favorite for a nice night out.
