Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the Pawn Shop, complete with vintage treasures and curated contemporary pieces. The host greets you in the Jewelry Box and takes you past upholstered walls into the Pearl Lounge and bar. Then you’ll find the Peacock Dining Room and the Locket Private Dining Room separated by a screen wall of antique frames. Each of these rooms are inspired by the delicate yet glamorous details of jewelry.

The cuisine, much like the design, is intended to set a new course with unique shareable dishes and twists on classic cocktails. Acclaimed chef and co-creator Chris Santos was one of the pioneers of the small, share plate dining trend that has swept the nation, and with the Beauty & Essex menu, he once again has created waves on the food scene.

The food was pretty good, some things were on the salty side, considering most places are to get you to buy more drinks, the waitress was a little off, was not empressed, place like that should be first class in my opinion.overall I would go back maybe just to do appetizers, my girlfriends steak was just ok for the price

My husband and I ordered the sword fish dinner with BBQ fries. All was delicious. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Give them a try when you are visiting the Mohegan Sun casino.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. We loved everything we ordered and the drinks were great. We’ve been to the NYC location and didn’t expect this one at Mohegan to be as good but it was! We will be going back again soon with more friends!!

Decent overall place. Tuna poke tacos were the superstar. 14 dollars for plain fries is just foolish. The French dip mini sandwiches were the biggest disappointment. Lacking flavor. My wife’s scallops arrived at the table over 10 minutes after my food and by that point my food was cold. No apology, no comp, no nothing. The dirty tots were decent but sadly cold by the time I ate them. Cherries for dessert were amazing. Waitress was polite but seemed to be stretched thin between having too many tables possibly.

They have a set of small at one end of restaurant and you are sitting about less than a foot from each other and are unable to have a conversation because you can hear the couple next to us on both sides of It felt like we were all together as 1 big dinner party I had the beef wellington at Hell kitchen and it was excellent so I decided to try it here and was the most disgusted thing I ever ate in my life The sauce was already solidified on my plate when I received it and after my first bite I was extremely dissatisfied I had to wash each bite down with a glass of water My girlfriend got the chicken meatballs and was like eating a salt ball they we’re inedible The cocktails were excellent and the lobster mac and cheese was good I will be sticking with Michael Jordans steakhouse from now on We have been there over 20 times and never had a bad meal

What a fun and magical experience at Beauty and Essex. It was so exciting walking through the antique storefront and led into a dazzling restaurant!! The vibes were immaculate and the wait staff was amazing, every chance they got multiple staff wished us a happy anniversary, making the experience even more special and one of a kind. They take care of you, every single person that comes to the table is show stopping. And the food was 💯/💯, every dish was top notch- worth every penny! New favorite spot and i won’t be gatekeeping this gem!

Excellent surprise at Mohegan Sun. Swordfish and Salmon were terrific, atmosphere is fun, and service was good except trying to clear the plates too fast. Will be back

The food is remarkable, service impeccable, and ambiance exquisite. We loved everything so much we went back the second day and ate at Beauty and Essex again. My husband even had the exact same meal (Rib eye with the bone in). We will absolutely return each time we are at Mohegan Sun. It is a real gem. I do think they need to advertise it more because you cannot tell it is such a nice restaurant until you actually get inside the main entrance. It looks initially like a jewelry, estate store front. It is super classy. I would like to see the employees not wearing jeans. Maybe it will make the clientele dress more appropriately if everyone looked more elegant. Other than that, total perfection.

My wife and I went on July 6th for the brunch. I had the seasonal scones , unfortunately both scones we not baked all the way through. I had the braised short rib Huveos Rancheros. The portion size was extremely small. Very tasty but for $45 not worth the value. My wife had the Ricotta Fritters and BEC sandwich croissant both tasty. The waiter was excellent and very polite.
