Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the Pawn Shop, complete with vintage treasures and curated contemporary pieces. The host greets you in the Jewelry Box and takes you past upholstered walls into the Pearl Lounge and bar. Then you’ll find the Peacock Dining Room and the Locket Private Dining Room separated by a screen wall of antique frames. Each of these rooms are inspired by the delicate yet glamorous details of jewelry.

The cuisine, much like the design, is intended to set a new course with unique shareable dishes and twists on classic cocktails. Acclaimed chef and co-creator Chris Santos was one of the pioneers of the small, share plate dining trend that has swept the nation, and with the Beauty & Essex menu, he once again has created waves on the food scene.

    We had a great time! We’re celebrating our anniversary and the servers were excellent, very attentive and helpful with the menu. Love the table sharing concept and trying a variety of items. Definitely worth a trip

    Overall I wasn’t impressed. My salad was so basic, my meal was okay. For what we spent I would have expected a meal I could brag about, but sadly nope. It was just your basic over priced restaurant. The ambience was cook but I won’t eat there again. Maybe just have a drink in the bar area.

    This is a beautiful restaurant with great service and delicious food. But the portions are very small and expensive so prepare to spend over $100 per person. It’s worth it if you are a foodie and can afford it.

    Food - excellent. Decor - very cool, funky elegant. Staff- Very friendly Negative - service was very slow. Perhaps they are working out the kinks being so new. We would try again.

    Food was good but the noise level was ridiculous The music was so loud that everyone was screaming at each other in order to hear anything. Tables too close to each other. The atmosphere was not good at all not a place to go for a nice quiet dinner that’s for sure
