   I have been eating at the beachside bistro for over 35 years and have found that the quality of the experience has steadily decreased, especially in recent years since renovations in 2023. Where the experience previously was friendly and family focussed, aesthetics and volume of patrons now seem to be prioritised with staff always seeming confused and disorganised. The same applies to the food where menu options have decreased and silly rules such as schnitzels can only be ordered with salad, not veges exist. Food was burnt and again, looks to have been made quickly with volume prioritised and quality low on the agenda. Kids meals come out with mains and not with entree as is the norm elsewhere. Very disappointed with the Mollymook golf club.

   We booked for a table for 9 people, we’re squished in around a small table. When asked to more to a larger table staff were extremely rude and continued to be rude the whole night, even when clearing the table. This is the second time we have had this experience at the bistro. The bar staff and young girl taking our order were polite and friendly, even with the restaurant and bar being busy. Your wait staff need improvement.

   The service at Mollymook Golf Club was fantastic! There were 7 of us in our group, and we had no sooner ordered our meal when it arrived at our table. The food presentation was lovely and we all enjoyed the tasty food. The views from the dining room were excellent while daylight remained . This is an excellent venue at which to dine. Would highly recommend. On-site parking available.

   I booked dinner for my son’s 10th birthday. I did specify that it was for an occasion, no one mentioned it or said happy birthday to him. I wasn’t really expecting it but why ask during the booking process if it’s not going to be mentioned We had a great table with a view which my son was happy about because he could watch everyone out surfing. Most of the staff were friendly and polite, especially the staff clearing tables. We had oysters which were amazing, my son had ribs which he enjoyed and I had the salt & pepper squid from the specials menu. It was in a tempura like batter, very oily and the squid was dry and rubbery.

   Dinner was the nicest we've had at a Club. Dessert was superb. Fantastic view and we sat in an area where it was a bit quieter. The club was very clean and modern. We really enjoyed our night. Thanks.

   Great group booking experience. Food and service was really good. Food can be hit and miss. Tonight was a hit. The pineapple,coconut and sweet chilli prawn special was delicious.

    Mollymook Golf Club has spectacular views and is a great place to visit, but unfortunately the food in the bistro needs attention, in my opinion. The menu rarely changes. I've visited sporadically over the last few years and the menu is always the same. Food was luke warm, was a bit dry and needed lots of sauce/jus to make it appetising. The meals are a good size. The menu needs a greater variety of new meals with more contemporary flavours. I'll keep visiting, but only for the view, as this is what sets MGC apart from the other clubs nearby.
