The Beach House is a charming, fun and relaxing restaurant concept, for locals and vacationers alike, that sits just yards away from the beach with breathtaking views of the Atlantic. Whether you prefer to dine inside or at the bar, under the spacious screened in wrap around porch or out on our patio, we have the spot for you. Our culinary team takes tremendous pride in creating something for everyone in a family friendly atmosphere. With hand crafted soups, salads and appetizers, to Artisan pizzas, to the stars of the show with fresh local seafood. In addition to our hunger inspired menu we feature a full wrap around bar with one of the largest draft beer selections in Southeast Georgia. From Porters to Ciders, we are able to showcase a variety of regional craft beers on one of our 24 tap handles.     Great Thanksgiving dinner buffet! The food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful. We sat on the patio with our dog, who also enjoyed the experience! Wife and I visit Jekyll Island regularly and the Beach House Restaurant is one of the places we usually visit for eats and drinks.

    Good Thanksgiving Buffet. The food was kept filled and fresh and there was good variety. Everyone at our table found their favorites and our guests raved about the food. The staff was very friendly and really made this a good experience. We would come here for Thanksgiving again.

    It was so bad that we barely ate anything and left to go get dinner somewhere else. The fried chicken looked horrendous and tasted awful…Pretzel and beer cheese was edible but lacked any flavor. Fried mac and cheese was tasteless. Gnocchi Bolognese was edible but not enjoyable. It’s a shame because the restaurant is nicely decorated inside, and has patio/outdoor seating with a view of the ocean. We won’t return.

    The food is only so-so. My fried shrimp was not fried all the way through. The water tasted like it was in a glass that was not clean and my wife and daughter agreed. The atmosphere and music is amazing. They had problems with serving but all the servers did help each other.

    Thank you so much for your feedback - I am so sorry that you only had a so-so dining experience with us. The water on Jekyll comes from the Florida aquafer and a lot of people do prefer to drink either bottled or carbonated water. I am so glad that you enjoyed the atmosphere and the music but I was so sorry to see that your shrimp wasn't all the way cooked - I hope that we rectified that quickly for you when you brought it to our attention.     We sat outside which was fine but the lights didn't work so ate in dark when sun went down. Didn't offer to move us inside and there was space. $350 for 6 people. Food was so so. Not everyone got drinks. Did have 2 appetizers which were nothing to write home about. 3 side salads charged as full meals. Waitress was trying, place just poorly managed and kitchen didn't know what they were doing (things brought out random, couple people's food very late and 1 they redid as person has a shellfish allergy and they cooked wrong (glad they caught!). Slow slow service. Will not be back unless no where else to eat.

    Very disappointed with this place, the view from the patio was great but that's where it started and stopped. The food was probably about the worst I've had from anywhere on the island I couldn't even finish it. Service was absolutely horrible and it seemed like there was plenty of staff and it was very slow, the drinks were not made correctly either my margarita tasted like it had vodka in it. Definitely do not recommend this place or will ever go back

    We went to this restaurant because it had a good rating. It seems all the restaurants in area have about the same thing, but the service was good, the food was tasty. It’s very casual & not overpriced.

    Our party of three was seated immediately on the screened porch by the hostess. Beautiful evening with live music outside. Ambience was great, but no one came by with water or take our orders for TWENTY minutes. Servers would pass by as they tended nearby tables, pet guests' dogs, offer the dogs water, etc. but not one asked if we'd been greeted by our server. No appearance of being understaffed as would be expected during this post-pandemic struggle for hospitality. My husband finally went inside to inquire, but the line was so long at the hostess stand that he decided to order drinks at the bar while we expected someone would come to the table in the meantime. Nope. So I went inside, told the hostess that we'd not yet been greeted and asked to have a server come immediately with waters and to take our order. No apologies from the three staff members at the host stand. No apology from our server who eventually came by. No manager came by to ask about our service, meal or experience. If it weren't for the ambience, we would have left after the initial twenty minutes. Food and drinks were OK, but overpriced for the quality and total lack of service. Will not return and would not recommend ... unless you come for the music outside and bring your own food and drink.

    Martinis came out warm, appetizer with no plates, napkins or cutlery, main course was below average…service was just absent and the place was not packed. Definitely not worth the price.

    Ate on the screened in porch and it was very nice. Not a huge menu but the meals we had were good but not memorable. Staff was very nice (Roddy) and made it an enjoyable dinner.

    The service was very SLOW and the food was average. We waited 15 minutes after the hostess sat us before our waitress took our drink order. It also took about 35-40 minutes for our food to come out of the kitchen.

    Both of us ordered Grilled Grouper. The fish was cooked well, but seasoned with too much pepper for one of us. It was served with Vegetable Couscous and Sautéed Baby Bok Choy. The couscous was somewhat crunchy and seemed undercooked. I couldn't find any vegetables in the couscous. The baby boy chow was limp, soggy and swimming in liquid. It was unappetizing. Perhaps it simply wasn't how I would have prepared it or expected it to be prepared since it was described as sautéed. Service was good and we were politely greeted by the hostess when we arrived. The quality of the meal versus its cost didn't seem like a good value to us. We kind of wished we had just ordered a burger as other diners we observed did. We won't be back.

    The food is VERY overprices for the quality. It is not a fancy or really nice place, it is beach casual. The food prices were that of a 5 star restaurant. We were a party of 4 with no alcohol and my son ate a soft pretzel as his meal (which was an appetizer) and our bill was $166. Seems a bit high for the food we got. It's a fine casual beach restaurant with a great staff and great location. Prices just too high.

We felt that our special $85 four course meal for 2 represented good value, the other items on our menu are comparable with the area, half pound Angus burgers from $13, Dinner Salads from $10, we do have market pricing for our locally caught fresh wild Ga shrimp, Oysters and 16oz Ribeye as our supplier pricing fluctuates.     This restaurant is not nearly so good as it looks on Open Table (or anywhere). Service was perfunctory at best (though polite). Food was ho-hum. Ambience less than hoped for.

    Server was nice. Restaurant was quiet and clean. I ordered the Grouper blackened. The grouper was too salty to eat, the cous cous was underdone and crunchy (but the two bites I had if this had been cooked properly would have been fantastic as the flavor was on point), and the bok choy had almost a chemical flavor to it. We told our server and he offered to replace the item and we chose not too. We paid (yes we paid for a meal we did not eat as no refund was offered) and chalked this up to you win some and you lose some. Not saying we won’t ever try this establishment again, but it is low on the list now.

    In town for an education conference and made reservations originally for 6 for dinner on a Monday night. Staff were very accommodating when we requested to change our party size to 10. Unfortunately, once we arrived, we were less than impressed. Our service was terrible. The restaurant was not busy yet we waited over 30 mins for appetizers and drinks to arrive after placing the order. Salads arrived at the same time the meals did, and it took nearly an hour after the delivery of the appetizers for our main courses to arrive. Someone in our party’s drink cup was cracked and leaking, and once we notified the server of the issue, instead of taking the leaking glass away, it was left on table to continue to make a mess. I am usually a fantastic tipper, but we were charged a mandatory 20% gratuity, which we all paid, but was definitely not reflective of the service we received. The food was great, but not worth the headache of dealing with such poor service. We are in the island every year for a conference but we will definitely NOT be back.

    Server was too busy chatting to do her job. Someone else brought our food “because it had been sitting there awhile”. Hot food was barely warm. Multiple items including all their signature dishes were sold out and it was early in the evening.

    Our dining experience was average. The server was very polite but like many establishments, it seems they are short on servers so her attention to the table was ok, but I could tell she was semi-overwhelmed. I got fried shrimp which was good, but the fries served with it were not hot. It took multiple requests to get tartar sauce. One of our party ordered the fried green tomatoes and they were served cold. The staff person who delivered the food took back the tomatoes to "warm" them and the tomatoes never returned. Overall, the experience was not bad nor was it great - just average.

    We have been going to Beach House for the past 6 years… it appears each time to be going downhill. When it fist opened it was great, good food and great service. Now the food is sub par and service extremely slow— it shouldn’t take over an hour to get food with a restaurant 1/2 filled.

    Thank you for your continued patronage - I am sorry that your visit wasn't what you expected. There was a large soccer tournament on the Island and it was also a holiday weekend so we had a lot of large parties in the restaurant and some take out orders which resulted in us going on a wait for seating. We didn't have any ticket times that I could find where they ran over 35 minutes that night so I think you might be including the wait time for the table. We hope to better serve you again.
