Fun, informal good food, good value. A small group of us gathered for an informal lunch, a very enjoyable experience.
The food was OK, but the service could have been better. The waiter had an attitude and was indifferent to our table. Not sure I would recommend it, however, I would try it again and hope for a different waiter.
Great food -will definitely return!
Very nice and cute beachy cafe, service was excellent. For being cafe food, it was OK, but it could be a little better. we had the lobster pouched eggs and it was a little cold and the whole thing could just be a little more tasty and “fancier”, but don’t get me wrong, food was totally fine.
Outstanding and courteous service! The food was excellent and the ambience soft. We had happy conversations there!
Casual, comfortable and tasty food. Very cute spot for lunch or brunch, especially.
Quiet, awesome and appropriate attention from wait service. Food recommendations from server was on point!
Excellent meal. Enjoyed the ambiance. Service was attentive but not intrusive.
Great salad with tuna. Excellent attentive service.
Nice neighborhood restaurant to have a nice meal with friends. Good variety menu. Everything is good.
Food was good but pricey (one appetizer and two entrees with tip was $90 — no drinks or dessert). Not a lot of choice in the area though.
Simply can’t go wrong here.
Best calamari around.
Pina coladas are terrific.
Great place to catch up with friends
The lobster roll was pitiful!! Very stingy portion of lobster. I had a gift card to the restaurant but they had changed owners so they wouldn’t honor it. Not good for PR as I told friends just how disappointed I was. Manager didn’t have to courage to come teel us even though we complained. Made the poor waitress tel us. Won’t be going back ever
Too expensive, too noisy, excellent service, good food.
Great brunch & service! The brunch menu is spectacular and the sea food tastes very fresh. An absolute gem in the heart of Old Greenwich!
Reasonably price great food and good service in a pleasant atmosphere.
The seafood is terrific. Delicious and well prepared. The place is a true neighborhood gem.
Delicious calamari.
Delicious lobster rolls
Great staff and service.
Now on our preferred list.
Stopped in for a quick bite during a weeknight. Great casual menu, good food, good service, good price point, cute ambiance . What else do you need?
Happy to go back when back that way!
Awful! Spaced out uninterested servers (except for food delivery server-he was great!) lobster roll was dried out and tiny. Crab cakes were bland and boring. It was tough to get anyone’s attention to get a drink or the bill. No one asked how the meal was until we were paying. When we said it wasn’t very good there was absolutely no response from our server. We will not be back!
Nice place, we were the first customers for Brunch on Sunday...the waitress didn't really know about the components of the items. The overall experience should have been better if the jam they brought us had been anything but low end Smuckers blueberry...with no blueberry
Food was over-salted and dry. Service was pleasant but felt rushed. Room was worn down. Overall, disappointing.
Menu was varied and appetizing. Service was incredible although we were there for lunch and it was not crowded. Our server was professional. Food - salads and seafood - was very good.
Great place in nice location. Great coconut mojito at the bar.
First time - we booked for our Anniversary and the menu looked nice. It was a beautiful week day so we thought it would be nice to sit outside....that was a mistake! The pizza place next door had a loud family with bicycles laying on the sidewalk outside while eating and playing. It was calm and quiet when we first sat but we didn’t know that sitting outside was such a risk.
The food was very tasty and worth trying but overall the $100 cost for two wasn’t worth it given all the choices in the area. Inside looked nice but more pub casual for the price.
My friend and I had dinner here the other night. The ambiance is great (cute beachy theme) and all of the staff is super friendly. Our waitress provided amazing recommendations and you can't beat their signature cocktails.
The good food was not enough to make up for the erratic service. Completely ignored at first
And then, the waiter never left us alone. My Margarita was mostly ice in a half full warm glass.
Overall the dining experience at the beach house café was good. The food was good, seems fresh And well seasoned. The portion size was a little on the smaller side. The service was very good and the waiter was very attentive, though it took a long time for someone to seat us when we transition from the bar area to the table. The set up of the restaurant is a little strange in that there's two different sides so each side seems a little small and somewhat plain. I expected more of a beach house ambience and didn't really get that feel in the restaurant.
I really could say that I had a very good experience during my visit to beach house cafe.delicious food, warm hospitality, excellent service.great ambiance. I still think of the organic Scottish salmon from time to time. We will be visiting again.
Plenty to like here. Good staff and good service. Food is definitely good and it is kid-friendly. Prices are not too crazy. Pretty much an ideal spot for a weekend lunch.
A great place to eat! A real favorite ! The food and atmosphere is wonderful. Great service too.
Food and service excellent. Table location chaotic and not comfortable.
I love Beach House Cafe because there are so few relaxed dining options in this area. It's great on weeknights because it doesn't feel packed, and the noise level allows diners to actually converse. The food is very good, it's just a bit expensive for the kind of food that it is. The staff has always been very friendly.
Sunday brunch with the family. There isn't much choice in Old Greenwich but the standard at the Beach House Cafe is consistent, the service friendly and the value decent.
Restaurant is under new ownership. Food definitely better than it was before; expensive. OK for local neighborhood meet ups.
Nice place, good quality food. Only wished the portion was a bit bigger!
Went for brunch on Sunday. The food brought to the table was ice cold. One of two orders was incorrect. Bringing this to the attention of the manager was futile. His response was a vacant stare - zombie-land. Awful - stay away.
It was a birthday celebration. We had to leave the table to call up the waitress a couple of times because it took so long for him to get our request. Food was very good. Service should improve to pay attention to clients.
The Beach House Cafe is a favorite stopover to and from the beach or while shopping on a sunny day in Old Greenwich. Because of its open feeling and the casual atmosphere of OG, it feels like being on vacation. The food is great and I love the martinis.
