Great Experience..will return
We had a really nice time and the view at sunset was spectacular. We would go again in a heart beat and we would recommend the grill to our friends and family. The food was very good but can be found at many restaurants in Fairhope. Very good experience.
Our family celebrated a birthday at the Bayside Grill. The service was awesome and worked hard to accommodate our large crows! And the live music was perfect!
the menu seem to be limited for dinner. not much variety.
The service was excellent. we wanted a dessert for our 6 years grandsons birthday and the staff went our of their way to deliver.
They’ve only been re-opened a few days, but c’mon Grand Hotel, get your act together!!! This hotel has been here forever. It’s the grand dame of the area, but Marriott, in its infinite wisdom, thought it needed renovating and closed it down for months only to reopen it with terrible service and cheap decor. Why did y’all open if you weren’t ready? Half of the customers walked out - it was that bad. Our waiter had not been trained AT ALL and was a nervous wreck!!! We waited over an hour just for drinks. And the decorator needs to be fired! Moral of the story- if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
No air conditioning so very warm, flys everywhere which is disgusting and food sub par at best. Ordered pasta and had to pay extra for bread you have to be kidding me. Service was ok no complaints with our waitress. A waste of a hundred dollars. Hotel claims to be high end, certainly not the Jubilee restaurant. Very disappointing especially since we came to celebrate Fathers Day.
These folks could write a book on good old southern hospitality. They bent over backwards to please us. The food was really delicious!
This is a very enjoyable place to dine. All the staff is excellent and make you feel like you came to the right place.
Chef came out to chat with my wife who has specific desires for a plant strong meal. He was creative and made the experience fun for us all.
The seafood is superb.
We come often and are always happy we came.
Price is what you should expect for quality dinning
The food is very good. My husband had a dozen oysters on the half shell. Small but very good. The amberjack was served over grits and greens with apple slivers very tasty.
I had the filet med rare done perfectly served over asparagus and creamy mashed potatoes
Desserts were bread pudding a signature dessert and creme burlee for Large portions. We took home doggie bags. And the meal was great again today.
The atmosphere, service and food quality was outstanding. Gerald, our waiter was excellent! We live at the beach close by but have never dined here before. We will be back and would like to check out the steak house next.
The restaurant in menu needs a renovation. The main course was terrible and the atmosphere was just as bad
We had a great meal! The mahi was so fresh and moist, and the crabmeat was sweet and also carefully prepared! Our hostess , ''Q'', was so friendly, and took great care to ensure that our dining experience was perfect! And the beautiful view of the bay made the atmosphere very calming! We have been here many times, and definitely will be back; a lovely experience that we will fondly remember. Thank-you
The fish was delicious , well prepared , moist. The lemon tart was delicious too ! Beautiful view of the bay
Food was good, but waiter was incredible. He definitely made our meal!
We ate here the other night for our anniversary. The food was excellent and so was the service. You really can't beat the view. Not only is the surrounding hotel gorgeous, but you get to enjoy waterfront dining. We were also told that there would be live music later, but we left before then. You must try the artichoke dip! So, so good.
We were treated to a special surprise from the staff to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary.
They all signed a card and sent us dessert and a lovely book about The Grand Traditions. Rebekah was excellent and attended to our every need. I highly recommend Saltwater Grill.
Great service! Q is a pro! The Tilefish was outstanding. Much better food than I expected from a hotel. We also ate at Jesse's and Camellia and the tilefish at Saltwater Grill was still my favorite entree.
We visit The Grand Hotel as often as possible- having grandchildren nearby makes it our perfect reason to come. There is much to love about the hotel and grounds, but The Saltwater Grill has also become a favorite place to dine. I love their use of local ingredients and attention to detail. Our visit a few days ago was for a granddaughters birthday dinner ( and stay at the hotel). We were given a water view table and Rebecca took excellent care of us - especially making our birthday girl feel extra special !!! Our dinner was excellent- the Umami Shrimp alone is worth a trip to Point Clear !
We look forward to dining there our next visit !
We love the Grand Hotel in Point Clear and try to visit there annually. Last year, we dined at the Grand Steakhouse and we were disappointed. This year, we decided to give their restaurants the benefit of the doubt and tried the Saltwater Grill. We were again disappointed. The seafood was not fresh from the gulf and for the price, we were expecting a little bit more. There was no salad or slaw and the presentation was pitiful. I had a broken up crab cake, the dirty rice looked like it had been served by a 4 year old as it was all over the plate and the shrimp had no flavor. It's a shame as we love dining on the grounds. We do however recommend their breakfast buffet. It is very, very good!
Loved it! Great view of the bay and great food!
Service was great, food was delicious and view was lovely.
Wonderful meal, great atmosphere and service. My husband is in a wheelchair and the restaurant has easy access which is a blessing!
The chefs had a seasonal grouper with fresh local corn that was really well done. Best grouper I ever had that I didn't catch myself that day!
Very nice atmosphere, a modern menu and great service. Wine selection and the waiters knowledge of it was good, also. Go for the specials, you won't be disappointed.
Food is nothing special and overpriced for the quality. Setting is lovely.
I've eaten here many times and it's always been great. Tonight they missed the mark a bit. They were about 50%. They did graciously remove 1 of our orders of grilled oysters from the bill but this was the first meal we've had that was great.
This is a beautiful restaurant with superb service and fabulous fresh seafood. Our server, Theresa, offered great suggestions and told us about the area and the historic hotel. They grow a lot of the fresh herbs and vegetables on the menu. Wonderful dinner!
Always enjoy the Saltwater Grill at the Grand Hotel. We got a great table outside overlooking the bay. Oysters were good. Loved the cornbread in cast iron skillet to start. Fish and other entrees were very tasty. Drinks and service were great as usual
Wonderful anniversary dinner. Outstanding, innovative food and amazing service!
I had the special for the evening. Grilled Amberjack sitting on top of pink eye peas, some kind of greens, and edible flowerets. All the vegetables were picked fresh from the Chefs garden. Food was excellent as well as our server Teresa.
Theresa our server was amazing. Great recommendations. Excellent food
Good food, very good and friendly service. My wife and I were staying at the Grand Hotel and decided to try the Saltwater Grill for the first time. Will definitely try this restaurant again on a future trip. The manager, John, made us feel special.
The food was good, the view fantastic - but the service was remarkable. So kind, helpful, attentive, I was really blown away at home good every single staff member was. Amazing
Staff very attentive and our waitress was spot on in describing items on the menu. All dishes served with beautiful presentation. Our our appetizers and Main course were excellent and timely , deserts were average, and vodka martini/rocks generous. Fresh after dinner coffee even though we were one of the last guests of the night. Pricey... but worth a splurge
My sisters and I were on a memory making weekend after 2 had suffered from cancer. We had fabulous food, unbelievable spa treatments, gorgeous sunsets and the kindest employees who just wanted us to have an enjoyable time.
Thank you to everyone.
Great sunset bay view for dinner
Presentation for dishes was nice and good was very good. With a shared app and entrees cost about $100 with tip. Worth a night out on the town every so often
Our waitress was Crystal and she made my husband birthday very special by bringing a birthday dessert to him with this written on the plate: Happy 77th Birthday/A Miracle...you see my husband Robert survived death on March 21st from a heart attack so it was a miracle that he came back to us! Thank you Crystal for making our night so special!
Was here for a conference and decided to treat the wife to a good meal. The food and the atmosphere were exceptional. The service was very timely. the only thing that kept this from being a perfect couple's night was a very large, very loud party that was seated near us.
Took my boyfriend for his birthday. We watched the sunset on a beautiful day and the food was outstanding!
This was our first time at Saltwater Grill but it certainly wasn't our last! We plan to return to Fairhope soon and this place will be at the top of our list!
