Seriously one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time
Bavel yet again did not disappoint. From service to drinks and food everything was perfect! The oyster mushroom kebab and farm cheese still prove to be best things on the menu. Can’t wait to go back
Amazing! The service was great and the food even better. Very fresh and full of flavors. Our favorites were the Tagine and the babaganoush! Must try!!!!! Will definitely be back
When you live in LA, it's very difficult for a restaurant to stand out and truly blow you away. What else is there to say? Bavel offers a very pleasant and holistic dining experience and I'll definitely be going back soon.
I absolutely love Bavel your food and service is extraordinary. Only thing is music is extremely LOUD & the music selection makes it feel like you are in a hip hop club. I went here when it first opened and vibe was definitely different, a lot more upscale. I love Bavel and will continue eating here because the food is just to die for, thank you & see you soon.
The food is delicious and amazing! They served everything in perfect timing. The table was never overcrowded with food. The drinks were also delicious! My favorite was Leeana.
i can only speak if the bad vibe on the patio like a budget wedding with bad atmosphere, noise and nonexistent friendly service - it's not worth another return :( sad we waited 2 months for this
Dinner was delicious! Went out with a group of 4. The waiters were very informative and even had recommendations on steps to eat each appetizer so you can taste the most flavors! The cocktails were also really tasty, I'm def going back!
Bavel is an outstanding restaurant for many reasons. First, we were a party of 9 and groups of more than 8 are considered large so I was referred to Jennifer who helped me plan our menu. The menu is designed for sharing dishes (appetizers to main course and dessert) so the pre-selected menu ensured we chose exactly the dishes we wanted to try. Portions are very generous. No need to over-order.
The food is DELICIOUS. The hot breads that came with our selection of appetizers was outstanding as was the food. For our main course we were given 2 selections. We chose the Tangine of Oxtails and the Schwarma. I would ordered both again!
The service at Bavel is also amazing. From wine selection, food service, attention to unfilled water glasses, etc., I have to say that this is the best large group service I have ever experienced.
Bavel is definitely a "hot spot" and busy. The noise level is high so just know that in advance. While the noise level did not hinder our enjoyment of the dinner, it was not easy to converse with everyone at our table.
I cannot wait to return and highly recommend this restaurant.
all good & cocktails (except the Emily) was great EXCEPT the Vermentino wine carafe $75 it was not lite as Vermintino usually is, it had a “honey” finish & a bit syrupy ~ I didn’t drink it ~ next time I’ll make sure husband sticks to our gut choice the Portuguese wine
Absolutely amazing! The vibe was great, our server was outstanding and very knowledgeable. She gave us great recc's and was attentive even though the restaurant was super busy. The only thing I gave less stars for was the fact we had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time to get seated. The food amazing.. this is what we got.
Hummus, Farm Cheese, Moroccan Carrots, Squash Flatbread, Oyster Mushrooms and Oxtail. I had the Celia cocktail and it was refreshing. The description sounds almost like a green juice but does not taste like celery at all.
Food was amazing, service was fantastic. Only complaint is it was just so, so, so loud. All the surfaces were glass or wood or stone so there was nothing to absorb all the clatter and clamor. The sounds just bounced all over the place and the two tops are juuuuust a little too big to hear your companion unless you’re yelling a little
Food was incredible. Highly recommend the food. The shawarma was slow cooked and out of this world. The wine was too pricey. I also looked up some bottles since I wanted to see if they had good reviews and found that they were charging $19 a glass for a bottle that sells for $20. I don’t think that’s right. I know alcohol is priced up, but this is extreme.
Incredible meal, service, and ambiance.
The service was very rushed, it is not coursed properly, they keep bringing food to the table, and you don’t even have time to have a conversation. The tajin shouldn’t be called tajin, it’s just three sad pieces of oxtail in a dish where you usually would serve tajin. The deserts aren’t worth it.
As always, delicious food and excellent service. It opened at five, and the app offered table times prior. Otherwise, it was awesome.
It’s hard to find a place in LA that has a great vibe and even better food. This place is a gem. Service was incredible. Definitely coming back.
We always love the food here and keep coming back for more! Not to mention we ran into our favorite comedian here last night after we just watched him perform at the microsoft theater before dinner! It was amazing!!!
Absolutely incredible food, well-paired wines, gorgeous aesthetic, and impeccable staff. The menu is designed such that all plates are meant to be shared, lending to trying a wealth of different flavors. Each dish is prepared to be as appealing to the eyes as it is to the tongue. Truly remarkable experience.
I do not leave many/any reviews, but this place is the exception.
Bavel exceeded our expectations in every way! The interior and vibe were outstanding, the drinks were excellent, and the food was some of the best we’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend the hummus, baba ghanoush, prawns, cauliflower, and fried quail - all delicious and filling!
Awesome! No wait, excellent service and delicious food.
The food is consistently amazing each time I’ve been. The energy of the restaurant, even the open kitchen chefs doing their thing is such a vibe to watch. One of my favorite restaurants in la for sure.
Everything tasted so amazing! Especially the prawns!
Bavel has good wine selection, Lamb rack is the best of all.
Amazing food!! Will be back!
Réservation for a birthday. Food was great, cocktails tasty but the level of noise was almost unbearable. We had to yell to be able to hear one another. So that was VERY tiring!
Overall medium experience. We have done it was, not sure we’ll go back.
Everything was great. Just hard if u don’t eat Lamb or a fish that is full bodied Beas to tail. I know it’s the experience. Also hard for someone who is allergic to dairy. Not many options left for a well balanced meal. But for the other 2 out 3 partons it was wonderful.
Magnificent food and atmosphere. I loved it!
Bavel is the best!
Great date place
Unbelievably good. The best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. Innovative yet shows an insane level of understanding of the ingredients. Great outdoor dining space. 10/10!
Definitely worth a try, hard to make a reservation but worth it
Everything we tried was incredible! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
Great food… don’t understand why restaurants play music at a such a high volume… it’s annoying abs takes away from the overall dining experience. When your hearing is is overwhelmed, your taste experience diminishes… Bavel is absurdly loud…really annoying…
Excellent family style dishes. A truly special meal!
Birthday! It was amazing!!
This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I said every bite was it’s own party!!!
Really amazing food! Loved the fish and the spiced pear cake!
Thank you, Lawrence, for your kindness and hospitality!!
This was our first time at Bavel after wanting to eat here for over two years. We had a terrific server who answered all of our questions about the menu. He made some recommendations which we followed and were glad we did. We were disappointed with the Dorade because it had a lot of bones more than expected. Everything else was excellent. The restaurant is noisy but a very fun vibe. The whole experience was terrific.
